Rare’ goats take high spot in Old Delhi’s Meena Bazar

New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Among hundreds of goats up for sale ahead of Eid al-Adha in the famous Meena Bazar here, three stood out with price tags bearing a six-figure sum.

Their owners claim that the goats have inscribed on their coats ‘Muhammad’ and ‘Allah’- the two most venerated words in the Muslim community.

Adorned with anklets made of jasmine and roses, and robed in expensive cloth, the three goats drew everyone’s attention the moment they entered the market.

Two of them are a year old each, and the third one is two years old.

Gunmen attacked the residence of a pastor, Rev. Daniel Umaru, killed his two sons and abducted his 13-year-old daughter in Mubi, Adamawa State.

Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the gunmen stormed the cleric’s house on Tuesday night, July 5, and shot him in the leg.

Nigerian Activists Denounce Death Sentence in Homosexuality Conviction

Activists in Nigeria have condemned the death sentences given by an Islamic court to three men for homosexual acts. The ruling in Nigeria's northern state of Bauchi was the latest in a series of controversial death sentences by Sharia courts.

In a ruling last week, Judge Munka’ilu Sabo Ningi sentenced three men to death by stoning on charges of homosexuality.

The men are ages 20, 30, and 70 and were arrested on June 14. They were not represented in court by a lawyer before pleading guilty to the charges against them.

The ruling has sparked criticism from LGBTQ and human rights activists

Nupur Sharma fallout: Hacktivists of Malaysia, Indonesia wage cyber-war against India

AHMEDABAD: In an important revelation, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch said Malaysian and Indonesian hacktivists are now targeting India, and urged the Muslim hackers all around the world to start a cyber-war against India.

In a press conference, Amit Vasava, DCP, Cyber Crime, Ahmedabad said: “Post the Nupur Sharma incident, 2 hacker groups, 'Dragon force Malaysia' and 'Hacktivist Indonesia', initiated a cyber war against India, also appealed to Muslim hackers around the world for the same."

“Over 2,000 websites were hacked by hacker groups. Ahmedabad cybercrime has written to Malaysian and Indonesian governments along with writing to Interpol for lookout notice for both groups,” said DCP, Cyber Crime

Prominent French animal rights activist accused of Islamophobia is threatened with death

Hugo Clément, who has been accused of Islamophobia by some internet users, also wanted to remind people that he fights against all forms of violence against animals.

At Least 13 Killed in Suspected Islamist Attack on Congo Clinic

Assailants killed at least a dozen patients in an attack on a clinic in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo overnight, two witnesses said on Friday, blaming the raid on Islamist fighters allied to the Islamic State group.

Insurgents believed to be from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a Ugandan armed group that has operated in the dense forests of eastern Congo for decades, attacked a church clinic at around 10:00 P.M. on Thursday night, the witnesses said.

An army spokesman confirmed the attack in the town of Lume in North Kivu province, but did not say how many people died.

A witness said there were seven dead, while a nurse at the hospital said the provisional toll was 13 and many were still missing.

Islamist Hamtramck Mayor’s Bigotry and Apparent Voter Fraud

In January, the city of Hamtramck, Michigan, became the first municipality in the United States to be governed entirely by Muslim Americans. Mayor Ameer Haiderah Ghalib was sworn into office with an all-Muslim city council on January 2, after promising to represent the entire community, “no matter your faith, your background, who you love, or your political views.”

Yet, Hamtramck’s new mayor does not live up to his inclusive pledge. Ghalib’s Facebook account includes deeply racist, anti-black statements. He viciously mocked black justice demonstrations and endorsed a comment that referred to African Americans as “animal” and “inhuman.”

Alarmingly, Ghalib’s social media history even appears to include an admission of serious voter fraud.

Turkish imam to face investigation for calling for violence against doctors

Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate (Diyanet) has launched an investigation on an imam in the central Anatolian Konya province for calling for violence against doctors upon a healthcare strike earlier in the week.

“Doctors say they are on strike today. Would you not kill him? Would you not beat him up?” the imam said during the Friday sermon, in the wake of a cardiologist being shot to death on duty.

The imam in question made “inappropriate comments” while on duty, the Diyanet said in a statement, condemning him.

An inspector has already been sent to Konya to carry out the investigation, the religious body said.

Iranian-born vice president of Germany’s domestic intelligence agency causes displeasure by staying in Iran

The new vice president of the Cologne-based Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Tehran-born Felor Badenberg, is said to have embarked on a private trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran, apparently violating her own agency’s strict security precautions. Federal Interior Minister Faeser and BfV President Thomas Haldenwang are said to have been privy to the illegal activities.

All employees of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution are generally strictly forbidden to travel and stay in countries such as Iran, Syria or Russia, as they are threatened with arrest for espionage there. The emphasis here is on “all” employees and “generally.” However, the new vice president of the Cologne-based Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Felor Badenberg, born in Tehran, who was elevated to office last month by the left-wing radical Federal Interior Minister Faeser in the “fight against the right”, seems to have ignored this.

At age 44, Mosab Hassan Yousef, who famously helped Israel thwart Hamas terrorist attacks during the Second Intifada by working as an informant for the Shin Bet security agency, is trying to heal the trauma of the past and break free of the labels he has been assigned over the years.

Until a few years ago, Yousef, who is known as the "Green Prince," was living the American dreams, with wealthy friends, luxury apartments, a Porsche, beach parties, and occasional drugs. Along the way, he turned his back on his religion and converted to Christianity.

After his first book "Son of Hamas," was published, as well as a documentary detailing his work for the Shin Bet, Yousef also became a sought-after lecturer in Europe and the United States. Thousands filled the events he would speak at, eager to hear what this special man had to say.

Animal transport is Europe’s most shameful trade

Millions of animals will be transported every day through Europe to the Middle East, Africa and further and most will be killed at the end of their journey, or will not even arrive as they will die on the trip because of heat, exhaustion, or by one of the frequent tragedies at sea we have seen lately.

In early 2021, the vessels Karim Allah and Elbeik were stranded for months in the Mediterranean Sea due to the suspicion of blue tongue disease on board and in the end, 2,600 young bulls were killed.

Only recently a livestock ship capsized off the coast of Sudan in the Red Sea where over 15,000 sheep miserably died.

While Lieven Verstraete, an acclaimed Belgian journalist who hosts the program, "De Zevende Dag" ("The Seventh Day"), was recently interviewing two members of the Green Party, he raised the issue of immigration and called Brussels "the perfect example of a city whose neighborhoods are conquered one by one by newcomers".

Newcomers? Conquered?

"How?" replied Nadia Naji, a politician of Molenbeek's Green party.

"Well," Verstraete, visibly uncomfortable, tried to explain, "more and more people with immigrant origins come to live there and claim their place. Do you feel Belgian in Molenbeek?"
