Muslims sabotage dyke, leading to catastrophic flood that has killed 173 people
JUL 5, 2022 9:00 AM BY
ROBERT SPENCER
According to reports, two people have been arrested in Assam’s Cachar district in connection with the breaking of the Barak river embankment, which resulted in a catastrophic flood in Silchar. Mithu Hussain Laskar and Kabul Khan have been recognised as the arrested persons.
Laskar was apprehended on Saturday, while Khan was nabbed on Friday night. Ramandeep Kaur, Superintendent of Police in Cachar, confirmed their arrest. She stated that the police were further investigating the issue.
On May 24, the Water Resources Department filed a police complaint against unknown miscreants for breaking through the embankment at Bethukandi, some 3 kilometres from the town centre, to allow rainwater from a marsh to pour into the Barak river.

15 years since Hamas took Gaza: ‘Most dramatic development in Palestinian arena’
BY YAAKOV LAPPIN
July 6, 2022
Fifteen years ago, in June 2007, the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict underwent a seismic shift. The Islamist terror faction Hamas seized power in the Gaza Strip through a series of deadly raids, firing rockets and mortars at Fatah-run Palestinian Authority bases and storming their positions. In brutal executions, Hamas hurled P.A. personnel to their deaths from rooftops and conducted shootouts in hospitals, forcing many of the remaining P.A. personnel to flee to the West Bank.
Looking back at the Palestinian arena over the past generation, Col. (res.) David Hacham, a former Arab-affairs adviser to seven Israeli defense ministers and a senior research associate at the MirYam Institute, told JNS that “there is no doubt that the main, most significant and dramatic development has been Hamas’s takeover of the Gaza Strip and its forceful expulsion, through the use of violence, of the Palestinian Authority and its personnel from the area.”

Human Rights Watch Accuses Palestinian Authority and Hamas of Torture
Thu Jul 7, 2022
Hugh Fitzgerald
The NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) has made quite a name for itself for its incessant and virulent attacks on Israel. Here’s a sample of its many denunciations of the Jewish state:
Israeli authorities methodically privilege Jewish Israelis and discriminate against Palestinians. Laws, policies, and statements by leading Israeli officials make plain that the objective of maintaining Jewish Israeli control over demographics, political power, and land has long guided government policy. In pursuit of this goal, authorities have dispossessed, confined, forcibly separated, and subjugated Palestinians by virtue of their identity to varying degrees of intensity. In certain areas, as described in this report, these deprivations are so severe that they amount to the crimes against humanity of apartheid and persecution.
The Country Page of Israel/Palestine at the website of HRW repeats the same charge of “crimes against humanity of apartheid and persecution”

Ilhan Omar Loudly Booed by Somali Crowd in Minneapolis
A feel-good story.
Thu Jul 7, 2022
Robert Spencer
Amid all the division and strife in America today, there are a few bright spots. The Somali singer Suldaan Seeraar was making his first appearance in North America last Saturday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, and the place was packed with his expatriate countrymen, eager to see the show. But then who should show up to spoil the moment but the ardently patriotic and notably charming Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu), who was treated to a remarkable display of how unpopular she has become with her core constituency. Is Ilhan Omar headed for a lucrative commentator job on MSNBC? Hey, America is the land of hope.
According to the Daily Wire, “as Omar was introduced on stage with her husband, the crowd began to boo loudly. Some other performers on stage told the audience, ‘don’t do this,’ as they continued to boo Omar. ‘Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, we don’t have all night,’ Omar said as the crowd kept booing.”
The husband in question was not Omar’s famous brother, but her latest better half (who doubles as her political strategist), Tim Mynett.

In Molenbeek: Jihadists, Guns and (Drug) Money
by Abigail R. Esman
IPT News
July 6, 2022
Gunshots. Knifings. Cars being set aflame. All in broad daylight, all on the streets of Molenbeek.
Molenbeek, Belgium, you may recall, was the Brussels neighborhood that was home to almost half of the jihadists responsible for the 2015 Paris attacks and several subsequent terror attacks in Belgium. The bomber of a train at Brussels Central Station in 2017, for instance, lived in Molenbeek. Mehdi Nemmouche, who shot and killed four people at Brussels' Jewish Museum in 2014, had previously lived in Molenbeek. The mastermind of the Paris killings, Abdelhamid Abboud, grew up and still lived in Molenbeek.
Most of Molenbeek's population is Moroccan, though immigrants from elsewhere in North Africa and from Eastern Europe have also settled there. It is an area of Brussels where, according to the Oasis Center, an Italian foundation that studies relations between Muslims and Christians, "a type of Islam has been propagated over the decades that, if not radical, has nevertheless prepared the ground in which the radicalism would then take root."

Syria’s Devil You Know
For Christians and other minorities, is Assad safer than fiendish jihadists?
Thu Jul 7, 2022
Andrew Harrod
“In a movement of sheer masochism, the West encouraged political developments that would destroy systems designed as a safeguard against extremism,” writes Alexandre Goodarzy in a new Sophia Institute Press translation of his French memoirs. In Kidnapped in Iraq: A Christian Humanitarian Tells His Story, this French Catholic aid worker critically examines foolish Western beliefs that the 2011 “Arab Spring” would democratize the Middle East.
Working in Syria and the wider Middle East with SOS Chretiéns d’Orient, an organization assisting beleaguered Middle East Christians, Goodarzy experienced firsthand Syria’s post-2011 fall into sectarian violence. As he learned, jihadists, not democrats, dominated the revolt against Syria’s dictator, Bashar al-Assad. Yet his ruthlessness earned him infamy among many in the West as “our best enemy—the one we loved to hate,” Goodarzy notes.
Nonetheless, Goodarzy has his justification for Assad, who was “guilty of being faithful, in his governing style, to what the Europeans of an earlier era expected of him—namely, to head a secular authoritarian regime.” As Goodarzy elaborates:

UN rights body seeks reversal of Taliban policies making Afghan women 'invisible'
By REUTERS
Published: JULY 8, 2022 12:37
The United Nations Human Rights Council passed a resolution on Friday condemning rights violations against women and girls in Afghanistan, urging the ruling Taliban to end restrictive practices described as making them "invisible" in society.
"Restrictive measures put in place by the Taliban are making (them) ... invisible in Afghanistan society."
Czech ambassador Václav Bálek on behalf of the European Union
The Taliban seized power for a second time in Afghanistan last August as international forces backing a pro-Western government pulled out.
Critics say women's rights have since been undermined with new curbs on their clothes, movement and education, despite earlier Taliban vows to the contrary.

Fear and Loathing in an Islamic Republic
Fri Jul 8, 2022
Hugh Fitzgerald
Iran is in a parlous state. Its economy is in a shambles. The Iranian rial has lost 90% of its value in the last three years. 80% of Iranians now live below the poverty line. Its farmers are suffering from the worst drought in fifty years, made worse by the mismanagement of water resources. Exports of Iranian oil have sunk to about one million barrels a day. Unemployment has surpassed 10%, and is now three times that in the United States. All over the country, Iranians have gone out on the streets to protest the corruption of the leaders and the mismanagement of the economy; the regime has answered their calls for an end to the regime – the cry “Death to Khamenei” is unambiguous – by ordering that the protesters be beaten up and arrested. The mysterious deaths of a half-dozen high-ranking Quds officers has led to an atmosphere of fear and despair. No one is quite sure who is responsible for the killing of IIRGC commanders and other military men. Is it a foreign adversary, that is, Israel, with its Mossad operatives, or domestic assassins who belong to the increasing opposition within the country, or members of the regime itself who are either settling scores with political rivals, or eliminating extra-judicially those whom they suspect of being traitors to the regime and therefore deserve to die? The free-floating suspicion has not spared anyone. In late June the highest-ranking suspect so far, Brigadier General Ali Nasiri, was secretly arrested and charged with being a spy for Israel.

Mewat man offers Rs 2 crores for slitting Nupur Sharma’s tongue after Supreme Court judges called it ‘loose’
6 July, 2022
There is no end to threats and bounties for former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her comments on Prophet Mohammad more than a month ago. In latest such incident, an Islamist in Mewat has declared that he will give Rs 2 crores to the one who slits Nupur Sharma’s tongue. This incident took place days after the Supreme Court judges said that Nupur Sharma’s ‘loose’ tongue is responsible for the communal disharmony in the country and Kanhaiya Lal’s beheading by Islamists in Udaipur.
In the video that went viral on July 6, an Islamist in Mewat is seen talking to some journalist. The Islamist said in this video, “I am giving this on behalf of the whole Mewat. If somebody slits Nupur Sharma’s tongue and brings it to me, the offer is Rs. 2 crores for the one who does so. Rs 2 crores. I will give it on behalf of the whole Mewat. And if you slit her tongue, you journalist, I will give you Rs. 2 crores. You get this offer.”

Yogi Government Closes All Dawat-E-Islami Schools In Pilibhit
by Ruchika Chaubey
July 7, 2022
The school in Pilibhit that was operated by the Dawat-e-Islami group has been shut down by the Yogi government. Additionally, more than 250 stores throughout the city no longer exist as they were receiving funds from Dawat-e-Islami whose member beheaded Kanahiyalal in Udaipur. Following the Wednesday morning police raid, BSA decided to close the school.
The school was operating undercover. A medical supply business in Swaroop nagar, Kanpur, was seen displaying the Dawat-e-Islami banner at the same time.
Its footage has also come to light. In which it is obvious that a box has been positioned beneath the flag. The manager of the medical store removed the box as soon as the video became popular. Following the death of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, the organization’s name gained attention. At 2:00 pm, a team from the Pilibhit District Administration arrived at Darul Medina, a Dawat-e-Islami school close to the Nakatadana intersection.

Hindu Kid ‘Circumcised’, Police Book Eight-Year-Old For ‘Causing Hurt’ But Spare His Father Mansoor Despite Kid’s Testimony
by Subhi Vishwakarma
Jul 7, 2022 11:02 AM +05:30 IST
In March 2022, a shocking incident from the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh came to light where a six-year-old Hindu boy was allegedly circumcised by a Muslim neighbour. The incident was reported in the local media.
I managed to get in touch with the boy’s family over the phone and told him that I would visit him on my next trip to Jabalpur.
The visit happened in June.

3 teachers, 1 student accused of raping 11 girls at Depok Islamic school
By Coconuts Jakarta
Jul 6, 2022
Police have charged four people for the alleged rape of 11 female students at an Islamic school in Depok, West Java.
The suspects were listed as three ustaz (Islamic studies teachers) and one senior at the school.
The legal representative of three of their 11 alleged victims filed a complaint with the Jakarta Metro Police in late June, prompting an official investigation. The three girls claim that they were raped by the suspects on numerous occasions over the past year.
They told their parents when they recently went home for school break.

History
The Liberation of Córdoba from Islamic Tyranny
Jul 4, 2022
Raymond Ibrahim
Thanks to the efforts of Ferdinand III of Castile—aka Saint Ferdinand, or Fernando—this week in history, on June 29, 1236, Córdoba, which after the eighth century Muslim conquest of Spain had become one of the most important “abodes of Islam,” to quote a disgruntled Muslim chronicler, “passed into the hands of the accursed Christians—may Allah destroy them all!”
Six months earlier, in December of 1235, a daring band of Christians, led by a few knights, stormed and took a portion of Córdoba’s eastern quarter. Word reached King Ferdinand in January of 1236, even as he was in mourning over the recent death of his thirty-year-old wife from childbirth complications.
Through their envoy, the Spaniards “implored him to help them because they were placed in most grave peril.” Against the Muslim “multitude of Córdoba, they were very few” and “separated from the Moors only by a certain wall running almost through the middle of the city.” Though at a standstill, time, the envoy made clear, was not on the Christians’ side.

Global Jihad Over There and Over Here
JUL 8, 2022 11:00 AM
ANDREW HARROD
"It is hard not to see the pattern of the gangrene of Islamist thought spreading from the violence I witnessed in Syria to towns and cities in my own country,” writes French international aid worker Alexandre Goodarzy in a new book. In a Sophia Institute Press translation of his French memoirs, Kidnapped in Iraq: A Christian Humanitarian Tells His Story, he examines the dangerous interrelationship between jihadist violence abroad and in Western countries such as France.
Working on behalf of Middle East Christians with the French Catholic aid organization SOS Chretiéns d’Orient, Goodarzy during multiple trips to Syria and the wider Middle East personally saw the dark side of the post-2011 “Arab Spring.” Contrary to naïve Western beliefs in a wave of Muslim democracy replacing despots, jihadists quickly established dominance over the revolts in places including Syria against tyrants such as Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Christians in Syria and the broader region, who have long suffered Islamic repression since jihadists conquered the Middle East in the seventh century, had to align with Assad and other unsavory, unlikely allies in self-defense.
