The problem with Iraq is not just sectarianism; it is also a purposeful attempt by the parties to keep the central government weak.

Iraqi protesters have taken over areas near the parliament and have caused the government to stop work as it waits to see where the protests will lead next.

This isn’t the first time Iraq has been rocked by huge protests. Over the years, supporters of Muqtada al-Sadr have often targeted the parliament and Green Zone. Large anti-corruption protests in 2019 also succeeded in unseating a prime minister.

Jewish student sues Leeds University 'after being given fail in sociology assignment for not criticising Israel'

Leeds University is being sued by a Jewish graduate who claims she was given a ‘fail’ in one of her sociology assignments because she did not criticise Israel.

Danielle Greyman said her essay about crimes committed by Hamas against Palestinians did not pass because it did not pin any blame on the Jewish state.

The 23-year-old student, who had never previously failed an essay at university, was forced to resit the module, which she passed. Despite this, Miss Greyman was unable to get her undergraduate degree certificate in time to take up a place on a master’s course at Glasgow University.

In her original essay, Miss Greyman referenced Hamas’s use of human shields, saying it was viewed as ‘a betrayal of the Palestinian people by their government’. The moderator’s note next to that part of the essay said: ‘This ignores the fact that the Israeli state commits acts of violence.’

Samaria man severely beaten by mosque congregation

A Jewish resident of Samaria was attacked at noon (Friday) by Palestinian Arabs who had finished their prayers at the mosque in the PA town of Burqin, next to the city of Alei Zahav in Samaria. The victim was beaten savagely by the mob and suffered injuries to all parts of his body. His dog was beaten to death.

One of the attackers was detained by the security forces for questioning.

At the same time, it was reported that an Israeli vehicle was pelted with stones by terrorists on the Alon Highway, near the village of Al Mughayyir in the Binyamin region.

Abbas calls the pope to incite and inflame the Catholic Church against Israel

The report below states: “Under the guise of concern for Pope Francis’ health, PA Chairman Abbas exploited a phone call with the pope to incite and inflame the Church against Israel.”

But Abbas really didn’t need to disguise anything. The jihadist Abbas is a close ally of the pope:

*The pope’s first visit to the Holy Land in 2014 was to meet Palestinian leaders and children before visiting Israel, sending a message of what was to come.

*A year later, the Vatican signed a historic accord recognizing a “State of Palestine.”

*In 2017,  Pope Francis received Abbas in the Vatican for the formal inauguration of the first Embassy of the State of Palestine to the Holy See.

*In 2020, the love-in between the pope and the Palestinians continued when the Palestinian Liberation Organization asked the Vatican for help over a possible “West Bank annexation by Israel.”

Despite warnings, Turkey presses ahead with assassinations of Kurdish leaders

Over the last few days Turkish forces expanded their operations against Kurdish activists, both senior leaders and fighters, in a clear message that there is no safe haven for them anymore, whether in Iraq, in Syria, inside cities or on top of mountains.

Turkey said on Thursday that its National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) had carried out an operation to assassinate a female leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in an operation in northern Iraq.

Security sources told state-run Anadolu Agency that MİT agents monitored the movements of Hatice Hazar, alias Pervin Zilan, but did not say when the killing took place.

Saudi police arrest Egyptian TikToker with millions of followers for video they claim had 'sexual content'

*Tala Safwan is a popular TikToker with almost 5 million followers and 160 million likes.

*Saudi Arabian police arrested her after she did a stream with what they called "sexual content."

*Safwan had denied her video had anything of sexual nature and claimed it was taken out of context.

An Egyptian TikToker with nearly 5 million followers was arrested after hosting a livestream that police in Saudia Arabia claim had sexual content and was against "public morals."

Tala Safwan, who also has over 860,000 subscribers and 14 million views on YouTube, is a popular influencer who makes a variety of trend-style, vlog, and comedy videos. Many of her TikToks have amassed over 10 million views, and she has over 160 million likes. Her first videos date back to early 2021.

Jharkhand: JMM leader Akbar Khan assaults school teacher Ramendra Dubey for allegedly denying students to go on break for Namaz

Amidst the reports of taking weekly holidays on Friday instead of Sunday in Muslim-dominated areas in Jharkhand, a report has come to light where a teacher was allegedly beaten for not allowing Muslim students to go for Namaz. The incident took place in the Goilkera block of West Singhbum district on July 29. As per reports, Ramendra Dubey, who is a teacher in a Government School, was beaten up in front of students by one local leader of the ruling party Jharkhand Mukti Morch (JMM) Akbar Khan, who is a close aide of state minister Joba Manjhi.

Reports suggest that on Friday (July 29), when Dubey reached the school premises at 9 AM, Khan was already present there. Khan called him, to which Dubey said he would come after taking attendance of the students. Khan followed him and grabbed his collar from behind, and started beating him.

When Dubey asked Khan why he had beaten him, Khan questioned him why Muslim students were not allowed to go for Namaz at 11:30. Dubey refuted his allegations and told Khan that he never stopped anyone from offering Namaz, but Khan stated the students told him otherwise. Dubey further alleged that Khan threatened to kill him.

He threatened to cut off police officers’ heads, the Turkish IS fanatic’s mother now ran over a Cobra special forces police officer. The man was seriously injured.

Terrible events took place in Sellrain in Tyrol (district of Innsbruck-Land) on Saturday: As reported by the newspaper “Krone”, a woman, the mother of an IS supporter (18), crashed her car into a Cobra police officer – who was seriously injured.

France: Disabled man killed for his bag in botched robbery, 2 Algerians arrested

Two Algerian nationals, aged 22 and 26, were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention on Monday after being arrested on suspicion of murdering a disabled man during a robbery gone wrong.

As reported by French newspaper Le Figaro, the attack took place on Friday shortly after 1 a.m. on a street in the 13th district of Paris, in the Poterne-des-Peupliers district. A group of assailants punched and kicked the victim, eventually delivering a fatal blow to the 49-year-old man as they attempted to steal his bag before fleeing the scene.

The victim was spotted laying on the ground conscious by a passer-by shortly after the attack. He was subsequently taken to a hospital with a major wound to his skull. He was able to explain to authorities what had happened but sadly died the following day from his injuries.

Iran says it will ‘build nuclear warheads’ and turn NY into ‘hellish ruins’

The video declared Iran’s regime can move its “peaceful nuclear program to a nuclear weapons program” at a fast pace.

Iran expert Ben Sabti tweeted that an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) “Telegram channel threatens to produce atomic warhead for missiles,” citing the channel’s message: “Iran can immediately return to Emad project and build an atomic bomb if Natanz facilities are attacked.”

The Emad, cited in the message, is an Iranian long-range missile.

The IRGC-linked Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel published a video titled "When Will Iran's Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken," according to the London-based Iran International news outlet.
