ADF Rebels Kill Children (4 more) In DR Congo’s Ituri Province

“Around 9 p.m., they attacked the village of Busiyo in Irumu territory and burnt down several houses,” said Jacques Anayeyi, president of the youth council in the Banyali Tchabi chiefdom.

Anayeyi disclosed that the rebels set the five persons killed in the attack on fire. They also wounded five other persons and abducted several others.

“We were about sensitising the inhabitants to return to their homes, but with this latest attack by ADF terrorists, their return will be difficult,” said Faustin Babanilao Mboma, president of the Banyali Tchabi community, who confirmed the casualty figure of five persons killed.

Iran to deliver armed drones to Russia for Ukraine war, White House says

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House on Monday said it believes Russia is turning to Iran to provide it with hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles, including weapons-capable drones, for use in its ongoing war in Ukraine.

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said it was unclear whether Iran had already provided any of the unmanned systems to Russia, but said the US has “information” that indicates Iran is preparing to train Russian forces to use them as soon as this month.

“Our information indicates that the Iranian government is preparing to provide Russia with up to several hundred UAVs, including weapons-capable UAVs on an expedited timeline,” he told reporters Monday.

Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, & more: Streaming giants host Islamist songs calling for beheading over ‘blasphemy’ against Prophet Muhammad

The call for beheading over blasphemy is nothing new, and the recent murders of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur and Umesh Kohle in Amravati have drawn even more attention to such calls. In December 2021, OpIndia reported how ‘catchy’ songs calling for the genocide of Hindus, Kafirs, and beheading were getting traction on YouTube. The songs have been on music platforms for years, but in the light of recent events, it is essential to draw attention to the music streaming websites hosting such songs on their platforms.

The call’ Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek saza, sar tan se juda… sar tan se juda’ literally means that anyone committing blasphemy against the Prophet should be beheaded. Many Muslim clerics have made songs out of the call and published them on different platforms. In our previous report, we pointed out how YouTube was hosting such songs, and even after six months since the report was published, no action has been taken by YouTube.

On July 11, netizens pointed out that such songs were available on different music streaming websites like Gaana (owned by Times Group), YouTube Music, and others. Twitter user GuruSevakSaumya wrote, “Clampdown ‘sar tan se juda’ slogans & songs glorifying beheadings by religious fanatics. They are available in many platforms like Gaana & are being downloaded & used in short videos to issue veiled threats to non Musl!ms”, highlighting how songs oozing religious bigotry and advocating beheadings over ‘blasphemy’ are platformed on some of the most popular music streaming services.

4 Christians arrested under annulled apostasy law in Sudan; Bibles confiscated

JUBA, South Sudan (Morning Star News) — Police in Darfur Region, Sudan have arrested four Christians under a law against apostasy that was annulled two years ago, according to local sources.

Police on June 28 arrested the Christians from the Sudanese Baptist Church in Zalingei, in western Sudan’s Central Darfur state, on charges of apostasy, detaining them until their release on bail on Tuesday (July 5), according to local media outlet Sudania 24.

The Christian converts from Islam – Bader el Dean Haroon Abdel Jabaar, his brother Mohammad Haroon Abdel Jabaar, Tariq Adam Abdalla and Morthada Ismail – had also been arrested on June 22 and released the same day.

Forced marriage in Germany: “That’s the way things are in Islam”

Yasmin (name altered) has a presentiment. She has just turned 16. In the past weeks, she was not allowed to take a single step on her own. Her brothers picked her up from school and her parents forbade her to meet her friends. Now the whole family is going to visit relatives in Lebanon during the holidays. The parents have given a cousin’s wedding as the reason for the trip. But Yasmin fears it will be her own. She does not know to whom she was promised.

Myria Böhmecke from the women’s rights organisation Terre des Femmes knows of many cases that have happened in this or similar ways. In big German cities like Berlin, Hamburg or Frankfurt, forced marriages of girls and young Muslim women are no longer a marginal phenomenon but widespread.

The last nationwide study on forced marriages was commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs in 2008. It surveyed counselling centres: 3443 people, mainly young women, had asked for help there in the course of a year because of a threatened (60 percent) or already enforced (40 percent) forced marriage. “We assume that the number of unreported cases is much, much higher,” says Böhmecke. Especially minors do not dare to seek help in counselling. “There is the extreme relationship of dependence on the parents.”

CAIR Polls Itself, Revealing Its Failure to Unite Muslims

A new survey focusing on the upcoming mid-term elections from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) offers little insight into the American Muslim mind; but it does, inadvertently, illustrate CAIR's failure to have become a unifying, representative voice of American Islam.

Carried out between May and June 2022 "during the 2022 primary season of local and state elections, and congressional midterm elections," CAIR's survey collected 525 responses from voters who claimed to be Muslim, answering questions about various "social and policy issues" as well as political party affiliations and opinions.

But the methodology was shoddy. Respondents were found by CAIR entirely through its own email lists and social media pages, with the resulting survey then speciously presented as a proper exercise in data analysis. This was not a survey of American Muslims, but mostly of American Islamists; and only those who subscribe to CAIR.

“It is hard not to see the pattern of the gangrene of Islamist thought spreading from the violence I witnessed in Syria to towns and cities in my own country,” writes French international aid worker Alexandre Goodarzy in a new book. In a Sophia Institute Press translation of his French memoirs, Kidnapped in Iraq: A Christian Humanitarian Tells His Story, he examines the dangerous interrelationship between jihadist violence abroad and in Western countries such as France.

Working on behalf of Middle East Christians with the French Catholic aid organization SOS Chretiéns d’Orient, Goodarzy during multiple trips to Syria and the wider Middle East personally saw the dark side of the post-2011 “Arab Spring.” Contrary to naïve Western beliefs in a wave of Muslim democracy replacing despots, jihadists quickly established dominance over the revolts in places including Syria against tyrants such as Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. Christians in Syria and the broader region, who have long suffered Islamic repression since jihadists conquered the Middle East in the seventh century, had to align with Assad and other unsavory, unlikely allies in self-defense.

Iran and its primary terror agent, Hezbollah, are a threat not only to the security of Israel and the Arab Gulf states -- their tentacles stretch across the globe. In Latin America, Iran is building a strategic response against the United States with a protected base in Venezuela under President Nicolas Maduro. Iran’s build-up of long-range ballistic missiles, and the Russian supply of the lethal S-400 missile system to Iran, pose a serious threat to the security of the United States. These Russian missiles will eventually end up in Venezuela. Russia is poised to retaliate against the U.S. supply of missiles to Ukraine, by arming both Iran and Venezuela with the S-400 missile system.

With the Biden administration's desperate quest for a nuclear deal with Iran, it is crucial now more than ever for Washington to include Iran’s long-range ballistic missile development onto the nuclear talks agenda among other forums. The Ayatollahs of the Islamic Republic of Iran may eventually drop their demand for lifting the U.S. sanctions on the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), since they already have cleverly deceived the western powers by deliberately buying time to be weeks away from having enough enriched uranium for several bombs. Robert Malley, the U.S. envoy to the Vienna nuclear negotiations with Iran, recently warned that Iran can “make a nuclear bomb within a matter of weeks.”

Christian woman strangled, nearly beheaded in ambush attack in Egypt

A radical Muslim man ambushed and attacked a 35-year-old Coptic Christian woman, nearly killing her in an attempt to behead her in Egypt’s Minya governorate, according to a report.

The Muslim man, identified as Qassim Falah Muhammad, attacked the woman, Mona Wafdi Marzouk, as she was walking to her family’s farm to help her father last month, the U.S.-based persecution watchdog International Christian Concern said in a statement.

Muhammad ambushed her and began to strangle her, ICC said, adding that he then proceeded to grab a sickle and attempted to slash her to death.

Indonesian Islamic College Bans Magazine Reporting Sexual Abuse

One would hope that an educational institution that learned of sexual assaults on campus would focus on holding perpetrators accountable and preventing further incidents rather than targeting the messenger. Not so the State Islamic Institute in Ambon (Institut Agama Islam Negeri Ambon, IAIN Ambon) in Indonesia’s Maluku province, which instead of recognizing and valuing a student magazine’s groundbreaking and thorough investigation, ordered its shutdown.

On March 14, when Lintas magazine reported on dozens of incidents of sexual violence on campus taking place between 2015 and 2021, the story unsurprisingly created an uproar. Lintas had spent 5 years investigating the story, interviewing 32 sexual violence survivors (27 female and 5 male students) as well as campus officials, including Zainal Abidin Rahawarin, the IAIN Ambon rector. The magazine identified 14 alleged perpetrators. Some of the victims, who were not named, detailed sexual assaults that took place during field research trips, on campus, or in lecturers’ offices and houses.

Five men who said they were relatives of one of the lecturers, whom Lintas alleged had asked a survivor to delete sexting messages, went to Lintas’ newsroom and assaulted two staff members, reporter M. Nurdin Kaisupy and designer Muh. Pebrianto.

Minor Schoolgirl, A Hindu, Attacked With Blade By Stalker Danish Khan In Jhansi

A Hindu girl, reportedly a minor, was attacked with a blade on her neck and face by a man named Mohammed Danish Khan in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district on Monday evening.

The girl is in the hospital and, as per police, her life is out of danger.

The girl’s mother told the media that the girl had gone to her coaching institute when Danish tried to kill her with the weapon. She was saved only because a friend of hers appeared on the scene.

When asked about Danish, the mother said that he was a stalker who was after her daughter for two years, and he had managed to get her phone number from the coaching institute.
