Nigeria: Families of missing train passengers bemoan govt silence
Relatives of the abducted passengers say government inefficiency led to the attack and is delaying rescue efforts.
By Ope Adetayo
Published On 8 Apr 2022

Almost two weeks after an attack on a Nigerian passenger train killed eight people and more than 150 remain missing, families say they are yet to get updates from the Nigerian government.

On March 28, suspected bandits detonated a bomb on the tracks and opened fire on the train just outside the northwest city of Kaduna, stopping the train on its tracks. As many as 168 passengers remain missing and are believed to have been abducted by the armed group.

Imran Khan sticks to 'foreign conspiracy' charge ahead of no-trust vote, says Pak citizens need to protect sovereignty
Imran Khan sticks to 'foreign conspiracy' charge ahead of no-trust vote, says Pak citizens need to protect sovereignty
Islamabad [Pakistan]
April 8 (ANI)

A day ahead of the no-confidence motion against his government following Supreme Court orders, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday stuck to his "foreign conspiracy" allegation over efforts by the opposition to oust him from power and said people of the country need to "protect sovereignty and self-respect".

"There was an attempt to change the regime from the outside, they decided from the outside that we don't like him, so change him... Society has to protect... it is not about Imran Khan. If the society does not protect its sovereignty, then who will?" Imran Khan said in an interview with PTV.

Muslim Man Builds Ganesha Temple in Karnataka, Pays Rs 4,000 Salary to Priest From His Pension
Soumya Kalasa

P Rehman from Chikkahole in Chamarajanagar district is a retired gate operator at chikkahole reservoir. In 2018, a few months before his retirement, a Ganesha idol from a nearby small temple went missing. Rehman had seen the temple and the idol for years since it was close to the reservoir he worked at.

The police and people searched for the idol but it was never found. One night, Rehman had a rather strange dream where Lord Ganesha appeared before him and ordered him to build a temple. Startled, he woke up. Somehow, he was unable to brush the dream off his head.

Updated: 08 Apr 2022

Earlier, Al-Qaeda chief Ayman Al-Zawahiri has used the recent Hijab controversy in Karnataka to target democracy in India, saying "we must stop being deceived by the mirage of the pagan Hindu democracy".

In a 8.43-minute video clip released by the terror outfit online, and verified by the American SITE Intelligence Group, Zawahiri also showered praises on Karnataka college student Muskan Khan for confronting a group of students opposing hijab in her college in early February.

Nine Egyptian Christians Still Detained After Protests to Rebuild Church
'They were interrogated while blindfolded and handcuffed, with no lawyers present, while their families were denied information about their fate and whereabouts. These conditions are akin to enforced disappearances,' Amnesty International said March 30.
Kevin J. Jones/CNA
April 8, 2022

Months after protests of the government’s apparent refusal to approve the rebuilding of a damaged church, nine Christian protesters in Egypt remain in detention as supporters call for their release.

“Instead of arresting a number of residents of the estate, official and security authorities should have responded promptly to their demands and issued a decision to rebuild the church,” Ishak Ibrahim, a freedom of religion and belief expert at the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, said March 13.

Canadian church denounced for hosting event honoring terrorist
B'nai Brith is calling on Canadians to contact Vancouver church to voice their outrage that it is hosting event glorifying PFLP terrorist.
Israel National News
08.04.22 16:06

B’nai Brith Canada has denounced a Canadian church’s decision to host an event celebrating a Palestinian Arab terrorist.

The Jewish advocacy organization is asking Canadians to voice their outrage by emailing the Grandview Calvary Baptist Church to let them know that facilitating the event is morally reprehensible but asked those who do so to “please remember to remain civil.”

According to B’nai Brith, on Saturday the Grandview Calvary Baptist Church in Vancouver, British Columbia is providing space for “Iftar in the Old City,” an event organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM).

France’s former intelligence chief warns against possible civil war due to mass immigration
“All my accumulated experiences make me foresee a dark, and even very dark, future for our children and grandchildren,” said the former director of France’s top intelligence agency in a widely discussed interview
April 04, 2022
Editor: REMIX NEWS
Author: OLIVIER BAULT

France and Europe must abandon mass immigration and radically change their immigration policies, warned Pierre Brochand, who served as director of the French DGSE from 2002 to 2008, during an interview published in one of France’s most influential newspapers, Le Figaro.

“All ‘multicultural’ societies are doomed to more or less deep rifts,” explains Brochand, who was one of the longest-serving directors of the DGSE, an agency he headed for six years and which is the French equivalent of the American CIA and the British MI6. “In such a situation, it happens that minorities are violent winners, and majorities placid losers.”

Man Accused of Murdering Sir David Amess Says He Killed British Politician to ‘Help Muslims’
By KURT ZINDULKA
8 Apr 2022

The suspected terrorist accused of murdering Sir David Amess told the court at the Old Bailey that he killed the Conservative Member of Parliament for voting in favour of air strikes in Syria and to “help Muslims”.

Ali Harbi Ali, 26, told jurors that he is a “moderate Muslim” but that he had no regrets for killing veteran lawmaker Sir David Amess during a public meeting in Leigh-on-Sea Church in Essex last October because he thought it would “help” Muslims in the Middle East.

“If I thought I did anything wrong, I wouldn’t have done it,” Harbi Ali said, according to the BBC.

Syrian asylum seeker who pushed a disabled man in front of an incoming train allegedly not criminally responsible
April 9, 2022

An appalling incident took place at Waghäusel railway station near Heidelberg in the summer of 2020: On the evening of July 28, a severely disabled man was pushed onto the track bed by a then 25-year-old asylum seeker. As a goods train approaches at a speed of around 90 kilometres per hour, the 54-year-old begs to be allowed to climb onto the platform. But the Syrian kicks and punches, deliberately preventing him from being rescued. According to the police, his younger brother (22), who was also present, secured the scene.

It is hard to believe that the victim survives the brutal crime at the train station in Waghäusel: only because of his slender stature does the victim manage to squeeze into a gap between the concrete wall and the train. Nevertheless, the man suffers severe injuries, bones break – to this day he suffers the injuries.
