LGBTI film screening banned at Boğaziçi University
July 22 2022 12:17 pm
Turkish forces have foiled another attempt by Iranian agents to kill Israelis in Istanbul, arresting three men, local media reported Friday.
According to the reports, the men were detained with a rifle, two pistols, silencers and ammunition on July 14 and were brought before a court Thursday to have their remand extended.
The reports come a month after Israeli officials issued an urgent appeal to all its citizens to leave Istanbul immediately, and reconsider non-essential travel to other parts of Turkey, warning that Iranian agents were ready to kidnap or kill Israelis there as Tehran seeks revenge for the slayings of officers blamed on Israel.
The men reportedly tried to target Israeli tourists staying at a hotel near Istanbul’s Taksim Square.

Al-Qaeda Publishes New Call For Killing Egyptian TV Host Ibrahim Eissa, Previously Threatened By ISIS Supporters
July 22, 2022
On July 16, 2022, As-Sahab, Al-Qaeda's official media outlet, published a 16-page essay by a cleric known as Abu Awwab Al-Hasani. The first instalment in a series titled "Restraining the Vile People of the Media," the essay is titled "Loyalty and Defense of 'Allah's Drawn Sword,' Abu Sulayman Khalid bin Al-Walid, From the Slander of the Fool of the Alhurra Channel, Ibrahim Eissa."
This is not the first death threat made against Eissa, who is a longtime critic of the Muslim Brotherhood and of Islamist and jihadi views. Earlier this year, on March 1, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media outlet released a poster calling on Egyptian Muslims to behead Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Eissa, describing him as an "atheist heretic" who has "harmed Allah and the Prophet." He has received numerous death threats, not only by Salafi-jihadis such as supporters of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, but also by Islamists such as Qatari sociologist Dr. Abd Al-Aziz Al-Khazraj Al-Ansari.

Taliban tortures Afghanistan’s Youtubers Ajmal Haqiqi and his team for allegedly hurting Islamic sentiments
23 July, 2022
By: Melvin Samuel
A video has gone viral on social media, which shows the Taliban torturing Youtubers Ajmal Haqiqi and his team, according to sources.
As per the local media, they filmed it for fun and the Taliban members sent the video to each other. The horrific videos show that Ajmal Haqiqi and his team are brutally beaten with rods by them. The Taliban’s General Directorate of Intelligence has arrested Ajmal Haqiqi, a YouTuber from Afghanistan, and three of his colleagues on blasphemy accusations, reported Khaama Press.
Four of the young activists are handcuffed in a video released on the Taliban’s intelligence agency’s Twitter handle, with Ajmal Haqiqi confessing to “promoting indecency and lewdness, and insulting Quran verses.”

Pakistan’s Minister of Health: Populate the World with Muslims
Toward what end?
Wed Jul 27, 2022
Hugh Fitzgerald
Pakistan’s economy cannot sustain its population. But instead of a massive campaign encouraging birth control, and providing free contraceptives, or even of mandating smaller families the way that China did with its “one-child policy,” the Pakistani Minister of Health is encouraging Pakistanis to migrate to non-Muslim lands, and once there, to procreate to their heart’s content, demographically conquering, little by little, these countries and their indigenous Infidels.
A report on the Pakistani Health Minister’s plan is here: “An ‘out of Pakistan’ solution for population control—produce kids in non-Muslim nations,” by Akansha Sengupta, The Print, July 20, 2022:
Minister of Health and PPP member Abdul Qadir Patel Monday offered an ‘out of Pakistan’ solution to the population problem—couples wanting more kids should leave the country and add to the Muslim population in nations where they are in minority.
At a seminar in Islamabad, the minister said that by 2030 the population of Pakistan is expected to cross 285 million. “We do not want to decrease the Muslim population. We want Muslims to be better, more educated and provide them with better health care facilities,” he said.
Population is a big reason for Pakistan’s troubles, especially when it remains fragile and debt-ridden. According to a UN projection, Pakistan is set to see a 56 per cent population increase by 2050, which amounts to over 366 million people.

Not Without My Daughter
Could the film be made today?
Wed Jul 27, 2022
William Kilpatrick
Not Without My Daughter is a 1991 film about an American citizen and her young daughter who accompany her Iranian-born husband on a two-week visit to his family in Iran—only to discover that the “visit” is intended to be permanent.
Once she realizes that she has become a prisoner of her husband, his family, and the oppressive society in which they live, Betty begins to plot a way to escape with her daughter Mahtob. The escape is made more urgent after a friendly Iranian warns Betty that when Mahtob turns nine years old, she will be at risk of being forced into marriage.
The film is based on the true story of Betty Mahmoody’s escape from Iran in 1986.

Don’t Judge Islam by the Actions of a Few Muslims
Says Pope Francis’ favorite Muslim sheikh.
Mon Jul 25, 2022
Raymond Ibrahim
Recently, while decrying “Islamophobia,” Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb—one of the world’s most influential Muslims who so many Western leaders including Pope Francis trust and listen to—said:
We do not hold the Christian religion, nor Christ [peace be upon him], nor Moses [peace be upon him] responsible for the terrible massacres of Muslims by believers of other religions. We do not label a religion by terrorism, violence or brutality. We remain deeply aware of the vast difference between religions’ teachings, and the traders of religions.
Although he raises an excellent point—the need to distinguish between religious teachings and the practitioners of said religions—it does not support his ultimate point, that “Islam rejects violence among people of any religion.”
True, people of various religious backgrounds, including Jews and Christians, have done and likely will continue to do some rather horrible things. Equally true, their religions should not be conflated with or blamed for their bad deeds.
Unfortunately for al-Tayeb, however, a number of “problematic” activities by Muslims trace straight back to certain Islamic teachings and legacy. This includes attacking and or killing apostates (born Muslims who wish to leave Islam) as well as “blasphemers” (anyone who speaks critically of Islam); the treatment of women as chattel, the permissibility of polygamy (up to four wives), child-marriage; systemic discrimination against all things non-Muslim (e.g., religious minorities, churches, etc.); and, of course, jihad—armed warfare against non-Muslims in order to bring the entire world under Islamic rule.

ADF Rebels Kill Women, Children In 2 Attacks In Eastern DR Congo
July 26, 2022
Chief Bisong Etahoben
Rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) killed at least eight civilians in two attacks in the Irumu territory of Ituri province in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
During the attack from Saturday to Sunday, July 24, 2022, the rebels killed six women and two children in Kayera and two others in Kyabohe, near the border with Uganda.
The attacks caused a new mass displacement of villagers into the bushes and neighbouring zones.
Exactions committed by ADF rebels, officially linked to the Islamic State since 2017, have resumed despite the state of siege declared on May 6, 2021, in the provinces of Ituri and North Kivu.

Germany: After the Islamic morning prayer, the Afghan knifeman went completely berserk
July 24 2022
Red Adidas T-shirt, dark brown eyes, a fashionable short haircut. Salahuddin B. (27) looks like a normal young man. But that can change within seconds!
The rejected asylum seeker has been standing before the Dortmund jury court since Wednesday on charges of attempted murder in two cases, dangerous bodily harm and resistance against law enforcement officers. He is ill and is to be permanently placed in a closed psychiatric ward.
“He suffers from a paranoid-hallucinatory psychosis. He is dangerous to the general public,” says public prosecutor Henner Kruse (50).
The Afghan-born man first attracted attention on December 7. According to the application, he rushed into his boss’s office with a kitchen knife, chased him until he was stopped by a co-worker, using a fire extinguisher. Three days later, the knifeman came back – but failed at the locked glass door.

Turkish authorities arrested two additional Iranians earlier this week, Sabah reported Friday.

Abbas is creating a dictatorship in the Palestinian Authority, new report finds
July 25, 2022
Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has implemented measures that could turn the P.A. into a dictatorship, according to a new report, published just two weeks before the 29th anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords.
The report was authored by Israeli NGO Palestinian Media Watch, which has followed developments in the P.A. virtually since its inception in 1994. Over the past four years, the report states, “Abbas has made decisions and implemented fundamental changes to the Palestinian political system, the overall purpose of which is to completely abolish what is left of Palestinian democracy and replace the P.A.’s institutions with the Palestinian Liberation Organization.”
Abbas’s first step, according to the report, was to make structural changes in the PLO that gave him increased control. The Palestinian National Council, the PLO’s legislative body, has almost never convened. To ensure greater control, in 2018 Abbas ordered the PNC to transfer its authorities to the Palestinian Central Council, a much smaller body that is far easier to control.

India: Muslim mob assaults and strips female Hindu teacher for scolding Muslim student
JUL 24, 2022 2:00 PM
BY ROBERT SPENCER
"West Bengal: Teacher Chaitali Chaki assaulted and stripped by a mob for scolding student Jarnatun Khatoon, no arrests 3 days after the incident,” OpIndia, July 24, 2022:
In a horrific incident that took place on Thursday, a female teacher in West Bengal was assaulted and stripped by a mob of guardians of some students after she had scolded a girl studying in the student. The incident took place in Trimohini Pratap Chandra High Secondary School in South Dinjapur, and even though three days have passed since the incident, police have taken no action against the culprits.
As reports, on Thursday when class nine student Jarnatun Khatoon was loitering on the veranda of the school instead of being in the class, teacher Chaitali Chaki had scolded Khatoon by holding her ear. Jarnatun alleged that the teacher also slapped her on back, and her hijab had slipped down from her head at that time.
After the parents of Jarnatun learnt about the incident after she reached home, the family members and others in the area reached the school. They were enraged that the teacher had hit the student causing her hijab to fall down. They entered the staff room of the school and assaulted the teacher. They also almost stripped Chaitali Chaki during the assault by pulling her cloths. Other teachers were shocked to see this but they could not stop the mob.

Iranian Militias Burn Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque
Monday July 25th, 2022
The Iranian terrorist militias brought in by the Assad regime have burnt the Abu Bakr Aa-Siddiq Mosque in the al-Jamiliya neighborhood in Aleppo city with “purely sectarian motives that indicate the absolute hatred these militias harbour against Syria and its people,” a SOC statement has said.
“The burning of the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the city, constitutes a heinous crime against the identity of the Syrian people and the holy symbols of Muslims. The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) calls on all organizations of Muslim scholars to condemn this serious violation of the mosque,” SOC added.
The SOC explained that Iran is seeking “to change the religious beliefs of the people by offering them grants and incentives,” adding, “the entire Iranian regime’s project is based on spreading the ideology of sectarianism and hatred not only in Syria but also in all countries of the region.”

Casualties reported in missile attack on Syria church opening ceremony
24 July, 2022
Deaths and injuries were reported after an attack on a church opening ceremony in central Syria on Sunday.
At least two people were killed and more than 10 others wounded when a missile targeted a mass gathering in the Al-Suqaylabiyah in the Hama governorate, reported state-run SANA.
The ceremony marked the opening of the Hagia Sophia church, the construction of which began in 2020.
SANA accused Turkey-linked "terrorist groups" of firing the missile, a label given by the Syrian regime to most opposition groups in the war-torn country.
