I can't figure it out.

I thought Zion, faith, promise, Mt. of Olives, chair and of course the Wizard of Oz-------my brain's a stone!   I'm being stupid now----it's a frequency with me!

Obviously, the precious stones are emerald, ruby and  sapphire.   They were in the priestly garment.  Christ is our precious stone.

I know when you reveal the answer, I'm going to feel dumb.  I know it's really simple.

You're right-it's the sapphire. It is in the ephod, it is the what the throne of God is made of, and it is in the foundation of the new Jerusalem! I'll get the proof texts tomorrow; every time I connect to crosswalk.com to get it I crash.

Whitehorse,

Thanks for the scripture texts.  I'll check them out.

I hope you're saving these riddles because they're really good.  Just think, someday you'll have a book of riddles you can publish.

These are fun.

Let me try one.

I do big things, though small in size,
Sometimes I fail, to win Gods prize.
If I'm not taken away,
I'll multiply, by thirtyfold, or sixty, or a hundred.

What am I?

(hope that wasn't too many clues)

Grace and Peace!

Yes!  The seed - the word.  See the parable about the sower.

I guess I made that one too easy.  I wanted to be subtle, but its hard to make clues that don't give it away.  The real clue I think is ...

If I'm not taken away,
I'll multiply, by thirtyfold, or sixty, or a hundred.

Mar 4:14  The sower soweth the word.
Mar 4:15  And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Mar 4:16  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
Mar 4:17  And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
Mar 4:18  And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mar 4:19  And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mar 4:20  And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Nice try Whitehorse.  The mustard seed is close.  You guys are too good!  I'll have to come up with harder riddles...lol

Me and my twin, belong to God
from years long past, we prod and prod.
We serve the Lord so faithfully,
because the Lord hath said it would be.
From our gaze of truth, no man can hide,
Only once was satisfied.

What am I?

(no buckshot answers this time cris....lol)

Maybe I have finally found a difficult one....I may have to give more clues.

Just ask if you need more.  It is rather vague this time.
