I'm thinking "gaze of truth" means the bible and "only once satisfied" is the debt Christ paid, once and for all.

What you said at the end about Christ answers part of the riddle, but its not the twins name.

Me and my twin, belong to God
from years long past, we prod and prod.
We serve the Lord so faithfully,
because the Lord hath said it would be.
From our gaze of truth, no man can hide,
Only once was satisfied

They would be seen in the traditional ceremony.

Me and my twin, belong to God (represent 2 characters of God)
from years long past, we prod and prod. (symbolic)

We serve the Lord so faithfully, (ceremonially and character wise)

because the Lord hath said it would be. (commanded -cant

say too much more here as it would give away too much)

From our gaze of truth, no man can hide, (ceremonially and spiritually)

Only once was satisfied (Cris got this part right)

They would be seen in the traditional ceremony.

Unfortunately, at least for me!

I'm thinking rings, penalties, letters, vows.  Would be seen in the traditional ceremony - SACRIFICE?

Yes, it would be seen during OT ritual sacrifice.

Me and my twin, belong to God
from years long past, we prod and prod.
We serve the Lord so faithfully,
because the Lord hath said it would be.
From our gaze of truth, no man can hide,
Only once was satisfied

I can make this a lot easier if you guys like?....I just thought having a hard one would make it more challenging.

Challenging?   I'll say.  Fun though!

They sacrificed clean animals.  Is it OFFERING?  No, that's not it.

Tabernacle?  Nah!  What the heck is it?  Burnt offerings - peace offerings - shed blood - atonement.  I just can't figure out this one.

Oh--is it the goats? One gets set free, the other is sacrificed...what they represent fulfilled in Christ...doing the will of God. I wonder of the plodding is metaphorical, though. But the idea that no one can escape thir gaze. That's the part that throws me.

Now you guys are on the right track.  Hitting all around it, but not quite there.

Me and my twin, belong to God
from years long past, we prod and prod.
We serve the Lord so faithfully,
because the Lord hath said it would be.
From our gaze of truth, no man can hide,
Only once was satisfied

Here is another obscure hint.  All the sacrifices are seen by the twins.
