Amen Brothers and Sisters,
We all need to give thanks that we have so MANY Godly materials. There is no excuse for a Christian to be spiritually starving in this part of the word. I many times feel guilty that God has so abundantly provided for us when Christians and the lost have so little or nothing in other parts of the world. I know that many sweet Christians have purchased great quantities of materials that never gets to the intended recipients. It's especially sad when you consider that many of the same people are also physically hungry, and the food we send doesn't get to them. It's really the devil wanting to see those poor people dead physically and spiritually. All we can do is keep praying and keep trying. AMEN brother AMEN!! Brother Jerry, I must admit that I've never heard of the Klingon translation of the Holy Bible. I really don't have a clue what that might be unless it is somehow related to Star Trek. OR, In Oklahoma terms, "Are you pullin' my leg?" Love In Christ, Tom I have heard, that there is a verson of the Bible out in Klingon, and Romulan. Though I always though of it as a myth.

The Klingon Bible I have seen is incomplete. Just a few books available. I hadn't heard about the Romulan

Brothers and Sisters,
I'm shocked and thought that Brother Jerry was kidding with me. I guess that the last time I watched Star Trek was when my son was young. I can't remember how the various aliens talked. Regardless, I would have very serious questions about this. I did an extensive search for the Klingon Bible Translation and was amazed to find that it is actually in existence and is being distributed by "The Sword", not e-Sword. The two entities are completely different. I have very mixed emotions about this and first felt it represented a mockery of the Holy Bible. It was then pointed out to me that it might have some legitimate purpose with the "Trekkies", those who went nuts over Star Trek. I'll have to pray about this and really don't know what to think. If it's helping the "Trekkies" in some way to reach them for Christ, I'm still not sure what to think. So, I'll simply say that I'm an old and square guy, CONFUSED right now. As an individual, I would have a hard time with anything irreverent to the Holy Bible.
Love In Christ, Tom

BEP You are correct, and it was my error in the confusion of e-sword with The Sword project. I did get those confused. And correct they are two different projects. I felt the same about the Klingon translation. I have found that there are also various "translations" of it as well...ie KJV, NASB, etc. All they have done is substitute words. And still most of it is in English actually...so it has a funny read. Like where we would read "In the beginning" they would have something like "In the dhn eyy3nn" or whatever word is beginning. Although my opinion is that if there is a trekkie out there that needs to have a klingon translation...they may have more wrong with them than their salvation But then there is nothing that Jesus can't fix...so maybe a good start. God bless and have a wonderful day Sincerely Brother Jerry

Hello Brother Jerry, Thanks for the additional information. This and many other things are evidence of me suffering with the old and square syndrome. I just don't know very much or understand very much about some of the fads and strange things in our culture. But, I do remember what it was like to be young and looking at the expressions on the faces of older people when they were basically exhibiting . Or maybe one of the above would be better. Love In Christ, Tom Romans 8:37-39 NASB But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Brother, you are not the only one who is confised. I too am confused totally. I can't understand why someone would need to have the Bible translated in a non-existant llanguage.

One person, the lead person doing this translation, said it was to work on a program that translates the Bible into various languages. He didn't want to translate the Bible into real languages using this software until he had all the bugs out of the translation software. So he played around with it using different science fiction languages. He said in the process that he hoped that maybe he could get some Trekkies interested in picking up the Bible also and that it seemed to have done just that. He has had many Trekkies that have never touched a Bible picking one up and giving him suggestions on correcting the software.

He was using the World English Bible version. That's one I'm not familiar with.

Neither am I Brother. I've heard of the New World translation that's the one used by JW's.

Amen Sister Tina! I was just thinking about what an old square like me could say that was cool, and all I could think of was: Beam Me Up JESUS! Love In Christ, Tom Romans 3:23-24 NASB for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
