17 February, 2022

On the night of February 15 (Tuesday), a woman in Ahmedabad filed a police complaint accusing her husband of giving her triple talaq because she gave milk to her children first before offering it to him, reports the Times of India (TOI). The victim, a 31-year-old Karanj resident, has also accused her husband and in-laws of dowry-related mental harassment and assault.

According to the report, her mother-in-law, father-in-law, and husband demanded Rs 1 lakh from her parents in December 2021, which sparked a quarrel between them. The woman claimed that she had been abused and assaulted in the past.

‘Those stopping our children from wearing hijab will be cut to pieces’: Karntakata Congress leader Mukarram Khan issues threat
17 February, 2022

Karnataka Congress leader Mukarram Khan has made a threatening statement on hijab that aligns with the ideology of Jihadi Islamists. A video appeared on 17th February 2022 in which Khan was heard saying, “Those stopping our children from wearing hijab will be cut to pieces.”

The Karnataka hijab row is still going on with students breaching the interim orders of the Karnataka high court prohibiting religious attires inside the educational campus. Students have continued to wear a hijab and burqa while going to college, however, the colleges are not allowing them to enter. The statement given by the Karnataka Congress leader has now added to the unrest in the state.

Taliban judge says women have lesser brains: Read how human rights are crushed in Afghanistan after Taliban have taken over
16 February, 2022

As liberals and seculars of India are overtly supporting the Islamists in the ongoing Karnataka hijab row, a documentary covering the after-effects of the Taliban taking over Afghanistan by Vice News has been released into which a Taliban judge says that women cannot become a judge under the Taliban rule as they have lesser brains and as they are not good believers. While the hijab is argued to be a matter of choice or freedom of religious practice in India, the documentary by Vice News is done by a journalist covering herself with hijab throughout the report. She was also forced to wear a complete burqa strictly according to the sharia law while visiting a Maulana for an interview.

The documentary made by Vice News covers many aspects in Afghanistan under the Taliban rule for the last six months. It majorly focuses on the life and situation of women depicting how brutally their human rights are crushed under Islamic rule in a nation that briefly had a glimpse of the world view, however incomplete, in the last 20 years when the Taliban was not in power.

Palestinian rock-throwing incidents spike; Knesset demands tougher punishments
“The problem is that 99% of the people who are indicted receive a punishment more suited for a child than a grown man,” said Matan Asher, spokesperson for Im Tirtzu, which worked with Knesset member Keti gotcha2rit’s office to draft the legislation.
BY DAVID ISAAC

(February 18, 2022 / JNS) Palestinian stone-throwing incidents against Jews in Judea and Samaria spiked in 2021, capping a disturbing rise in the total number of attacks since 2018. Observers tell JNS that one reason is Israel’s failure properly to punish the perpetrators. Likud Knesset member Keti gotcha2rit introduced a bill on Feb. 8 with a potential fix, establishing a minimum penalty for the offense.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, a total of 5,532 rock-throwing attacks occurred in Judea and Samaria in 2021, a jump of 38% over 2020 (4,002 attacks). There were 3,805 in 2019 and 1,881 in 2018.

‘No hijab when they make TikTok videos, but they want to wear it inside classroom’: Non-hijabi students in Karnataka say protests spoiling their education
19 February, 2022

The Hijab controversy has intensified across the country, especially in Karnataka, as Muslim students are openly violating the Karnataka High Court’s interim order by attempting to enter the educational institutions by wearing hijab and burqa.

Amidst the disobedience of existing laws by a section of Muslim students, there is a sense of despair among Hindu as well as other non-hijabi students. The non-Muslim students are facing the heat of this hijab row as the dress code has become the main issue, relegating academics and studies into the background.

The non-Muslim students are the worst hit due to the hijab protests in the state, whose voices are being ignored by the left-liberal media establishment. However, these students have now come on the streets to share their grievances, saying that their education and academics are being affected due to the protests by Muslim students against the hijab ban

February 18, 2022

The president of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl's (JUI-F) Islamabad chapter has voiced opposition to Aurat March held across the country every year on International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, warning that they would use "baton" to stop it.

"If any attempts are made for obscenity on March 8 in Islamabad, we will condemn it," warned Abdul Majeed Hazarvi, the chief of JUI-F's Islamabad wing, while addressing a demonstration held in the capital's D-Chowk in connection with India's hijab row.

Hazarvi said that during Aurat March, "obscenity is spread in the name of women's rights

Islamists attack wife of an army man for narrating a story of her hijabi friend and her daughter, accuse her of ‘appeasement’
20 February, 2022

On Saturday (February 19), author and army wife Ambreen Zaidi came under a vicious attack from Islamists after she narrated a story of her friend who disciplined her child for prioritising hijab over her education.

In a tweet, Zaidi wrote, “A friend who wears a hijab, her daughter in class 9, told her that some girls want to show solidarity to the other girls in hijab in school, so they’ll also wear. My friend gave 2 tight slaps & told her to focus on studies &decide on Hijab/burqa when she finishes her education.”

40 civilians killed in northern Mali
By AFP
February 19, 2022

An Islamic State-linked group killed around 40 civilians this week in a northern region of Mali that has been plagued by clashes between rival jihadist groups, AFP reported on Friday.

“There are at least 40 civilian deaths in three different sites” in the Tessit area near the borders of Burkina Faso and Niger, a civilian official in the area told AFP.

The official, whose name was withheld for security reasons, said that the death toll was still provisional because the information was patchy and coming in slowly from the remote and dangerous area, where witnesses had scattered.

Penang mufti says Hindu mum should get custody but kids must remain Muslim despite unilateral conversion
Yiswaree Palansamy
February 20, 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 — Penang Mufti Datuk Seri Wan Salim Wan Mohd Noor said Hindu mother Loh Siew Hong should regain custody of all three of her children but said they must remain Muslims despite being unilaterally converted as minors by her ex-husband.

Free Malaysia Today (FMT) reported him saying that reversing their conversion was “impractical” and might “further complicate the situation”, and that they should remain Muslims for the good of all.

The remark came after Indira Gandhi Action Team’s (Ingat) leader Arun Dorasamy reportedly pushed for the children’s conversion to be cancelled.

“Doing that would only muddy the good ties that the Hindus have with Muslims in the country.

“From an Islamic perspective, one’s faith in Islam cannot be reversed through a court decree, but only if that person voluntarily wants to leave Islam without any pressure from anyone,” he was quoted saying by the news portal.
