On Tuesday morning, a man of Iraqi origin stabbed a passenger at Berlin Ostkreuz train station in the back, seriously injuring him.

The perpetrator initially bumped into the 46-year-old man and then suddenly stabbed him in the back with a knife, reports the federal police.

The seriously injured victim saved his life when he reached a patrol by the Deutsche Bahn railway company security service.

Pakistan top body says no US plot in ex-PM Imran Khan’s removal

Pakistan’s National Security Council, a body of top civil and military leaders, has rejected former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s accusations that the United States had conspired to topple his government through a parliamentary vote of confidence.

Khan, 69, who led the nuclear-armed South Asian country of 220 million people for three and a half years, had accused Washington of backing a conspiracy to remove him.

Top Islamic organizations are racing to line up the vote of France’s Muslim population behind Emmanuel Macron for Sunday’s second-round vote.

According to the rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, Chems-Eddine Hafiz, “abstention from voting and the blank votes will strengthen the far-right wing.” In a video statement posted to social media, he also claimed that “malicious forces are speaking out today calling for the banishment of Muslims.”

“How to react to this malevolence that is becoming commonplace and taking hold in people’s minds?” he asked before answering his own question: “By voting in the continuity of the Republic.”

Scottish MP makes one-sided statement on Al-Aqsa Mosque violence

A Scottish MP has called for a debate “on the rights of the Palestinian people” after referencing the violent clashes with Israeli police at the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.

But her one-sided take on the violence that has erupted at the Muslim holy site, came as Israel produced evidence showing Islamic extremists throwing stones and fireworks at Jews going to pray at the Western Wall.

Yair Lapid, Israel’s Foreign Affairs Minister also tweeted video footage showing Muslims wanted to take part in Ramadan prayers preventing extremists from provoking further violence at Al-Aqsa mosque.

Christians in Mozambique under growing Islamic attack

CABO DELGADO, Mozambique (BP) — Islamic insurgents have increasingly attacked northern Mozambique as Christianity increases there, the international evangelistic ministry Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) said in its latest special report.

Radical Islamists have killed nearly 3,000 and displaced more than 800,000 Christians and moderate Muslims “in recent years” who refused to recite certain creeds, VOM said in its report. A focal point includes Cabo Delgado where the Christian population has grown to 40 percent Christian since 2017. VOM cites an influx of Christians working in Cabo Delgado and growing conversions among Muslims.

In a 2020 attack that killed 70 residents of a Cabo Delgado village, Islamists decapitated all affirmed Christians.

Auckland man accused of threatening to kill 'non-Muslims' denied bail

An Auckland man charged with threatening to kill “non-Muslims” has been declined bail and will remain in custody until a future court date.

The 20-year-old, who has interim name suppression, was charged in September days after the LynnMall terror attack.

He is also facing two charges of distributing objectionable publications and possessing objectionable material between August and September 2021.

France: Advertising companies stop campaign for book on Muslim Brotherhood because they fear acts of violence by Muslims

Advertising companies refrained from promoting a book on the Muslim Brotherhood because they considered the topic too “political” for the election period or saw the risk that it could lead to vandalism targeting their business partners. Global Watch Analysis, the press publisher that originated the campaign, criticised an unjustified decision that was tantamount to “censorship”.

Caution, censorship or respect for the law? Although an agreement had been reached, the advertising companies JCDecaux and Insert cancelled a poster campaign in Paris that was supposed to advertise a journalistic book about the Muslim Brotherhood on public billboards and at certain retailers. The offending poster featured the cover of the book, entitled The Global Threat of the Muslim Brotherhood – named after this covertly operating organisation that promotes an identity-based and ultra-conservative Islam – along with the message: “After this book, no one will be able to say they didn’t know.” The two companies, contacted by Marianne magazine, stand by their about-face, citing a too “political” or “sensitive” issue.

Hours after the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson landed in India for a 2-day visit, Pakistani-origin Labour Party MP Naz Shah raked up the issue of Islamophobia to thwart bilateral ties between India and the UK.

Shah, who is a Member of Parliament from Bradford West constituency, had claimed on Thursday (April 21), “My message to Boris Johnson on his visit to India is that our nation’s foreign relations must not just be based on trade & internationalism but also on human rights.”

“My plea to the UK Prime Minister is to raise the growing issue of Islamophobia with the Modi Government…The rising tide of everyday hate & mob lynching against Muslims in India is becoming worrying,” she further alleged.

Mosque refused to announce Dua Zehra’s name because ‘she is Shia’, claims parents

KARACHI: The ill-fated parents of 14-year-old Dua Zehra Kazmi, who has been missing for a few days, have claimed that a local mosque refused to announce her daughter’s name due to sectarian issues.

Police have failed to trace the 14-year-old girl who disappeared from outside her house in Karachi’s Golden Town area within Al Falah police station limits on April 16.

Speaking to a private media outlet, her father claimed that when they approached the local mosque for help in announcing Dua Zehra as a missing person, they were refused, saying “We cannot announce this name because she’s from the Shia sect”.

An MP has demanded to know “how on earth” an Egyptian-born “hate preacher who has previously given sermons about killing Jews” was allowed to enter the UK.

Dr Omar Abdul Kafi had last month given a lecture at the Finsbury Park mosque in north London as part of a UK wide tour that also saw him give talks in Leeds and Liverpool.

Reports have previously revealed how Kafi had delivered a sermon that was recorded and posted on YouTube – in which he quoted: “The day of judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslim, O Servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.”

American University Muslim student group withdraws from interfaith seder with Hillel over its Israel support

A Muslim student group at American University was set to co-sponsor an interfaith seder and Iftar event this week with the campus Hillel chapter, to commemorate Passover and Ramadan.

Then, in an Instagram post Saturday, the Muslim Student Association at the university in Washington, D.C., cancelled its participation in the event, citing Hillel’s support of Israel amid last week’s renewed violent clashes at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque.

“Hillel’s continued support for the state of Israel after this attack contradicts our values of human rights and justice and we are unable to participate in a co-sponsored campus event at this time,” the group posted to social media. The day before, Israeli police had raided the mosque as a response to rioting by Palestinians at the holy site.

Explosions in northern Afghanistan kill at least 15 people, ​injure ​dozens

Separate explosions in northern Afghanistan on Thursday have killed at least 15 people and left dozens more injured, local officials said.

An explosion at a Shia mosque in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif killed at least 10 and injured 32, Ghawsuddin Anwari, the head of a hospital treating the casualties, told CNN.

Anwari said that the hospital “received 10 dead bodies and more than 32 injured people” following an explosion in the Seh Dokan mosque during afternoon prayers.

Suspected Extremist Attack Kills 9 In Northeastern Nigeria

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — An attack by suspected Islamic extremist rebels has killed nine people in northeast Nigeria, police and witnesses said Thursday, one of several deadly attacks this week in the troubled region.

At least 15 people have been killed in attacks in northeast Nigeria this week.

The suspected Boko Haram members stormed Geidam, a border town in Yobe State, and opened fire on residents, according to witnesses. Those killed include two women and a retired inspector of police, said Dungus Abdulkareem with the Yobe State Police Command.

Death toll in Afghan mosque bombing rises to 33, Taliban say

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A Taliban official says a bombing at a mosque and religious school in northern Afghanistan on Friday killed at least 33 people, including students of a religious school.

Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted news of the devastating bombing in the town of Imam Saheb, in Kunduz Province, saying it also wounded another 43 people, many of them students.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing, but Afghanistan’s Islamic State affiliate on Thursday claimed a series of earlier bombings, the worst of which was an attack on a Shiite mosque in northern Mazar-e-Sharif that killed at least 10 of Afghanistan’s minority Shiite Muslim worshippers and wounded scores more
