Israel destroyed hundreds of Iranian drones in massive attack
Israel reportedly attacked airbase in western Iran, wiping out hundreds of Iranian drone aircraft.

Israeli forces devastated an Iranian airbase recently, destroying hundreds of drone aircraft in a massive airstrike, Ha’aretz reported Tuesday morning.

According to the report, six Israeli drone aircraft carried out an attack on an airbase in western Iran near Kermanshah in mid-February, destroying hundreds of drones.

The incident went unreported until this week, and was first disclosed by Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based media outlet aligned with the Hezbollah terrorist group and the Iranian government.

Report: ISIS cell in Lebanon planned to assassinate European leader
Hezbollah-aligned news outlet Al-Akhbar reports that criminal investigation revealed that cell handled from Syria received orders to carry out suicide bombing that would kill French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit in September 2020.

An Islamic State cell in northern Lebanon had plans to assassinate French President Emmanuel Macron in a suicide terrorist attack during Macron's visit to Lebanon in September 2020, the Lebanese news outlet Al-Akhbar, identified with Hezbollah, reported Monday.

The report claimed that ISIS cells had also planned to kill several high-ranking officials in Lebanon, including former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and former Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil.

The Al-Akhbar report was based in part on information obtained from documents from an investigation into a criminal case in the village of Kaftun, north of Beirut. That criminal case led to the disbandment of one of the largest ISIS cells in Lebanon, seven members of whom were sentenced to death. The seven operatives were part of a group of 18 members, who were in turn part of a larger organization of 40 individuals, most of whom met while in prison in Lebanon.

The Kashmir Files, starring Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, and Mithun Chakraborty, is experiencing phenomenal success in theatres. The film, based on the killings and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir valley by Islamic extremists, is set in 1990 during the Kashmir insurgency.

Mithun's character asserts that it was not just an 'exodus', but was a 'genocide.' Anupam Kher's character could be seen trying to worryingly escape, holding slogans like 'remove Article 370'.

Haqeeqat TV, a Pakistani YouTube channel, has since harshly criticised the film, calling it sham and an anti-Muslim propaganda film that is bereft of facts.

Peshawar mosque bombing toll rises to 68
The firing and suicide bombing at the main mosque had claimed 67 lives and left almost 200 others injured

PESHAWAR: The death toll from the Koocha Risaldar mosque suicide bombing in Qissa Khwani rose to 68 as another person who had sustained head injuries in the terror act lost the battle for life at the hospital here on Sunday.

The firing and suicide bombing at the main mosque, belonging to the Shia community in the heart of the city, had claimed 67 lives and left almost 200 others injured. Some of the injured were still undergoing treatment at the hospitals.

'Ghar Wapsi’ in Pakistan: Islamists target Trans woman for reverting to Hinduism

On March 14, a Pakistani national, Zakriya Hanif, who identifies as transgender, announced that she was leaving Islam and embracing Hinduism. In a tweet where she posted photographs of herself donning Tilak at a temple and the gate of the temple, she wrote, “Officially leaving muslimanity and joining Hinduism.” She also used the hashtag Ghar Wapsi, a term often used for people coming back to Hinduism.

While people from Hinduism, especially from India, welcomed Hanif to Hinduism with open arms, the Islamists had a mixed reaction. While they did not like him promoting Hinduism openly, some of them felt relieved that an open LGBT community member was out of Islam.

France shuts down another mosque for allegedly defending 'radical Islam’

The Al Farouk Mosque in Pessac district was closed for 6 months as mosque authorities faced several allegations, including giving sermons "calling for non-compliance with French laws".

France has shut down a mosque for a six-month period amid an ongoing drive against Muslims and their places of worship.

The Al Farouk Mosque in Pessac district near the city of Bordeaux was closed for allegedly defending "radical Islam" and “spreading Salafist ideology,” the Gironde governorate said in a statement on Monday.

The statement accused mosque authorities of giving sermons calling for non-compliance with French laws and legitimising terrorist attacks.

Seattle man, 21, who tried to join Islamic State enters guilty plea

SEATTLE — A 21-year-old Seattle man pleaded guilty Monday to a terrorism-related charge after being arrested while trying to board a flight to join the Islamic State group.

Elvin Hunter Bgorn Williams was arrested last June at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as he checked in for a flight to Cairo.

He entered a guilty plea in U.S. District Court to one count of providing support to a foreign terrorist organization and is due to be sentenced June 14.

Initially, when the case opened, the perpetrator of Maghdid's death was merely referred to as "unnamed assailants." However, reports now claim that Emam’s 17-year-old brother fired multiple bullets in her. Police in Kirkuk, Iraqi Kurdistan, detained the alleged killer who is accused of shooting his sister eight or nine times on a lane in Erbil on Sunday.

A recent French survey on antisemitism found that 85 percent of French Jews believe that antisemitism and antisemitic sentiments are widespread in France, CNews reported.

The survey, published by IFOP, a French international polling and market research firm, found that 64 percent of the general population in the country and 85 percent of the Jewish community feel that antisemitism is ever-present in French society, and that 68 percent of French Jews reported that they had faced harassment and abuse for being Jewish. Twenty percent also said they were the victims of anti-Jewish physical assaults at east once.

According to the survey, antisemitic stereotypes are held by a large majority of the country.

A 17-year-old Sudanese boy was shot and killed after he attacked a Pima County sheriff's deputy with a pair of scissors, seriously injuring him during an altercation Saturday evening in a neighborhood on Tucson's far West Side, authorities said.

On Monday, the Pima Regional Critical Incident Team announced that Zakareya Ibrahim was fatally shot after he attacked Deputy Eduardo Toral, who has been with the Pima County Sheriff's Department for one year.

The incident began around 6:30 p.m., when an unidentified male called 911 and made several threats, including saying, "I want to kill all you... I have scissors," officials said.

Rebel attacks in eastern Congo kill more than 60

BENI, Democratic Republic of Congo, March 15 (Reuters) - Suspected Islamist militants have killed more than 60 people over five days of attacks on villages in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, local residents said on Tuesday.

The assailants, believed to be rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), have targeted at least five villages, and the offensive was still ongoing, the residents told Reuters.

Overwhelmed by violence in its eastern regions, Congo's government appointed military officers to run North Kivu and neighbouring Ituri province in May. Uganda sent more than 1,000 troops in December to wage joint operations against the ADF.

“Today, the UN has finally recognized the grave challenge confronting the world: of Islamophobia, respect for religious symbols, and practices and of curtailing systematic hate speech and discrimination against Muslims,” the prime minister said in a series of tweets.

The prime minister, as he congratulated the Muslim Ummah, said “our voice against the rising tide of Islamophobia has been heard”.
