Raid on mosque in Dortmund, Germany: “Hotbed of Islamism”

Large police operation in the Dortmund city area. The North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior has banned an Islamic cultural association. Now police officers are enforcing the ban with a raid. Heavily armed, they searched a mosque and several flats in the Nordstadt on Thursday morning ( March 10).

The association “Islamischer Kulturverein Nuralislam” is now considered anti-constitutional. This was announced by the state ministry of the interior of North Rhine-Westphalia. The association is against the constitutional order and the idea of international understanding, according to the announcement by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Minister of the Interior Herbert Reul ( Christian Democratic Union, CDU) plans to comment on the ban and the raid on Thursday.

Seven Children Killed In Stampede As Residents Flee Terrorists’ Onslaught In Katsina

Seven children have been reported dead and several others injured following a stampede in Shimfida village of Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Sources say the fear of a terrorists’ attack sent residents into a frenzy, leading to the casualties recorded.

Although the police are yet to confirm the incident, a resident of the area, Abdulrazak Ahmad told Channels Television that the tragedy occurred late on Thursday, after soldiers serving in a joint security task force were totally evacuated and withdrawn from the community.

He said the withdrawn soldiers were initially stationed at the Government Secondary School, Shimfida, about 27 kilometres from Jibia town.

Three Coptic Christians Brutally Murdered in Egypt

Egypt (International Christian Concern) – On March 1, three Coptic Christian brothers were brutally murdered by a group of six Muslims who claimed the attack was a “revenge killing” after the death of their own family member seventy years ago. The three brothers, Youssef Youssef Youssef, Afifi Youssef Youssef and Bushra Youssef Youssef, were working in an agricultural at the time of their death.

Their attackers, from Jaweer village, shot the men in Ibshadat village of Mallawi district and then cut and mutilated their bodies. The attackers reportedly danced as they committed their crime. The village from which they came also celebrated with musical instruments when they heard the news. The family and friends of the Youssef Youssef family mourned and wailed upon hearing about the men’s death.

Lawyers and those familiar with the incident reported that the men knew nothing of the killing that happened when their father was younger and that the manner of the recent murders did not match those of typical revenge killings. Some remarked that the mutilating of the corpses made it clear that the violence was linked to religious identity and mirrored the killings of the Islamic State.

Saudi blogger Badawi out of prison, still faces travel ban

RIYADH, March 11 (Reuters) - Saudi blogger Raif Badawi was released from prison on Friday after spending 10 years behind bars, his wife said, but rights groups said he is still banned from travel for another 10 years.

Badawi, who created and managed an online forum, was arrested in 2012, charged for "insulting Islam" and subsequently sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes. He received 50 lashes in 2015.

His public flogging caused an international outcry and prompted strong criticism of Saudi Arabia's human rights record, including its restrictive laws on political and religious expression.

LVIV, Ukraine — Russian forces pounding the port city of Mariupol shelled a mosque sheltering more than 80 people, including children, the Ukrainian government said Saturday as fighting also raged on the outskirts of the capital, Kyiv.

There was no immediate word of casualties from the shelling of the mosque. Mariupol has seen some of the greatest misery from Russia's war in Ukraine as unceasing barrages have thwarted repeated attempts to bring in food and water and to evacuate trapped civilians.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey said that a group of 86 Turkish nationals, including 34 children, were among the people who had sought safety in the mosque of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and his wife Roksolana.

Dozens of civilians and members of a Tuareg rebel group that signed a peace deal with the government have been killed in northeast Mali by suspected jihadists, military and security sources said Friday.

A military source told AFP that civilians and combatants from the Movement for the Salvation of Azawad (MSA) died in a string of attacks this week in the Menaka region, which borders Niger.

The MSA, which operates from Menaka, signed a government peace accord in 2015 to try to restore stability to northern Mali, the cradle of an insurgency that broke out in 2012.

The MSA accused the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (IS-GS), an affiliate of the broader Islamic State group, of carrying out the killings.

Both Baghdadi and Quraishi died by blowing themselves and family members up during U.S. raids on their hideouts in northern Syria.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Saudi Arabia on Saturday executed 81 people convicted of crimes ranging from killings to belonging to militant groups, the largest known mass execution carried out in the kingdom in its modern history.

The number of executed surpassed even the toll of a January 1980 mass execution for the 63 militants convicted of seizing the Grand Mosque in Mecca in 1979, the worst-ever militant attack to target the kingdom and Islam's holiest site.

It wasn't clear why the kingdom choose Saturday for the executions, though they came as much of the world's attention remained focused on Russia's war on Ukraine — and as the U.S. hopes to lower record-high gasoline prices as energy prices spike worldwide. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson reportedly plans a trip to Saudi Arabia next week over oil prices as well.

French authorities say a man with a knife injured three police officers in the southern city of Marseille and was killed by police after repeatedly ignoring warning shots

MARSEILLE, France -- A French man with a knife injured three police officers in the southern city of Marseille on Saturday, and was killed by police after repeatedly ignoring warning shots, authorities said.

The reason for the attack was unclear.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin described a “violent attack with a knife” and said police were able to “neutralize the victim and avoid the worst.”

Speaking from the site of the attack, Darmanin said the attacker was not known to police and had no police record. He said the officers tried various ways to warn him that didn’t work, and “then they opened fire and stopped him.”

Las Vegas police arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her date she met online in retaliation for the US drone strike that killed an Iranian military leader in 2020.

Henderson Police Department charged 21-year-old Nika Nikoubin with attempted murder last Saturday after she allegedly lured a man she met on the dating site Plenty of Fish in bed only to attack him with a knife, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Police said that on March 5, Nikoubin and her date, who has not been identified, rented out a room together at the Sunset Station Hotel where the 21-year-old turned off the lights and they began to have sex.

Miyetti Allah plotting to disarm vigilantes in South East, IPOB claims

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) claims it has uncovered a secret plot Fulani pastoralist advocates Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), in collaboration with security agencies to disarm vigilantes in the South East.

IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful, in a statement on Saturday, claimed that MACBAN held a meeting with some heads of security agencies to perfect the plot.

Powerful alleged that the aim is to destabilise the people of the South East for easy access by Fulani pastoralists to continue their onslaught in the region.

‘We have uncovered a secret meeting Miyetti Allah held with the hierarchy of various security agencies to disarm vigilante groups in Biafra land. They agreed at the meeting that all vigilante groups in Biafra land would be directed to surrender their weapons to security agencies,’ Powerful claimed in the statement.

Their intention is to weaken our people and pave the way for the invasion of our communities by Fulani bandits masquerading as herdsmen. We want to place the world on notice about this wicked plot.

‘We also raise alarm over the influx of Fulani rapists and terrorists called Fulani hunters in our land. Our people must be careful because Fulani and Miyetti Allah have devised another means of killing our people in the bushes and forests in Biafraland,’ the statement read.
