Communist Party ecstatic over '08 election results
Voice of Marxism announces 'hard work is just beginning'
Hailing Barack Obama's win as a victory for the "working class," the Communist Party USA is calling on the president-elect to carry out his promises, including his noted commitment to "spread the wealth."
An editorial by the People's Weekly World said the victory was for "workers of all job titles, professions, shapes, colors, sizes, hairstyles and languages."
The newspaper, which boasts of its "partisan coverage," identifies itself as "a national, grassroots weekly newspaper and the direct descendant of the 'Daily Worker.'"
"We are partisan to the working class, racially and nationally oppressed peoples, women, youth, seniors, international solidarity, Marxism and socialism. We enjoy a special relationship with the Communist Party USA, founded in 1919, and publish its news and views," the publication states.
The paper said Obama's victory is "important … not only for people here in the U.S., but also for our sisters and brothers around the world."
"The election outcome represents a clear mandate for pro-people change on taxes, health care, the war in Iraq, job creation and economic relief, union organizing and the Employee Free Choice Act. Reform and relief are in the air. Their scope and depth will be the arena of struggle. The best thing the coalition that won this victory can do is to stick together and help the new administration carry through on its promises," the editorial said.
Get the No. 1 New York Times best seller, Jerome Corsi's "The Obama Nation," personally autographed - today only $4.95, a $23 discount!
"Jubilation and celebration, yes, along with realization that the hard work is just beginning," the PWW editorial said.
Obama's commitment to "spread the wealth" was caught on tape as he talked with an Ohio voter, "Joe the Plumber," who became a personality in the 2008 election campaign for the exchange in which he suggested Obama's plan sounded like socialism.
Obama's media team did not respond to a WND telephone message and e-mail requesting a comment.
Michelle Obama has made similar commitments, warning that some Americans may have to give up a piece of the pie in order that others may have a larger share.
Samuel L. Blumenfeld, a WND columnist, earlier cited Obama's history of links to significant players in the communist effort in the United States.
"In his famous autobiography, 'Dreams From My Father,' Obama reveals that his earliest mentor in Hawaii was a man by the name of Frank Marshall Davis. It so happens that Davis had been sent to Hawaii in the late 1940s by the Communist Party to organize the party in Hawaii," Blumenfeld wrote.
"Davis had begun his communist career in Chicago. He was a friend and associate of Paul Robeson, the great singer, and Harry Bridges, head of the communist dominated International Longshoremen and Warehousemen's Union. Both men were secret Communist Party USA members."
Blumenfeld sees sees the impact of those influences in Obama's vision for the country.
"Obama has already proposed the creation of a homeland police force that will no doubt terrorize those in the 'ultra-right' who will become the most vociferous and active opponents of his socialist regime. Hitler had a similar police force called the Gestapo – Geheime Staats Polizie or Homeland State Police – that terrorized the opponents of the Nazi regime," he wrote.
"In 1933 a majority of Germans voted for a demagogue who promised 'change' and seemed to be the answer to their economic and national problems. None of those voters could have foreseen that 12 years later Germany would lie in ruins and be occupied by foreign armies," he wrote.
WND previously reported Davis, frequently accompanied by young Barack Obama and his grandfather, sold marijuana and cocaine from a "Chicago style" hot dog cart in the early 1970s, according to a source.

Bush anger: Obama aides leak chat details
Top source warns, senator 'would be wise to keep close counsel'
Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.
MORE
The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."
Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.
"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

Obama adviser denies Hamas meeting
Nov. 11, 2008
Hilary Leila Krieger and Jpost staff , THE JERUSALEM POST
US President-elect Barack Obama's office flatly denied a Hamas official's claim Tuesday that advisers to Obama met with representatives from the terrorist organization while on a visit to the region.
"This assertion is just plain false," Obama's senior foreign policy adviser, Denis McDonough, told The Jerusalem Post.
Earlier in the day, the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper published an interview with Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef in which he said that a secret meeting was held in Gaza ahead of the US election on November 4.
"We are maintaining contact with them," Yousef said. "We first made contact on the Internet and then met with some of them here in the Gaza Strip. They advised us not to reveal this information lest it influence the elections or become manipulated by [Republican candidate John] McCain's campaign."
With the campaign over, he added, Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh would be sending a letter of congratulations to Obama.
Yousef also said that he personally had friendly relations with a few of Obama's advisers whom he had met when he lived in the US.
Obama stressed throughout the campaign that he would not meet with members of Hamas so long as it didn't accept the international community's three demands - that it halt violence against Israel, recognize Israel and accept previous agreements between the Palestinians and Israel.
One of Obama's Middle East policy advisers, Rob Malley, resigned during the Democratic candidate's campaign once it became known that he had met with Hamas members in the course of his conflict resolution work with the International Crisis Group.

Obama’s U.N. Global Poverty Act
By adopting the Millennium goals in 2000, the U.N. escalated its demands to impose international taxes. Specifically, the Millennium called for a “currency transfer tax,” a “tax on the rental value of land and natural resources,” a “royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection — oil, natural gas, coal,” “fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels.”
It doesn’t bother U.N. sycophants that most U.S. handouts go into the hands of corrupt dictators who hate us and vote against us in the U.N., and that only 30% of our foreign aid ever reaches the poor. U.N. bureaucrats accuse the U.S. of being “stingy” in its handouts to underdeveloped countries.
There is much more to the Millennium goals than merely extorting more money from U.S. taxpayers. The goals set forth a comprehensive plan to put the United States under U.N. global governance.
Losing Sovereignty [meaning the United States of America] - These goals include a “standing peace force” (i.e. a U.N. standing army), a “U.N. Arms register” of all small arms and light weapons, “peace education” covering “all levels from preschool through university,” and “political control of the global economy.” The goals call for implementing all U.N. treaties that the United States has never ratified, all of which set up U.N. monitoring committees to compromise American sovereignty.
To achieve this level of control over U.S. domestic law, the plan calls for “strengthening the United Nations for the 21st century” by “eliminating” the veto and permanent membership in the Security Council. The goal is to reduce U.S. influence to one out of 192 nations, so we would have merely the same vote as Cuba.
The Global Poverty Act would be a giant step toward the Millennium goal of global governance and international taxes on Americans. Tell your senators to kill this un-American bill.

The U.N. is nothing but a dark hole of corruption. The obvious answer should be "NO" if the U.N. touches a project in any way.
They can't and won't be giving ANY of our SOVEREIGNTY to the U.N. without DUE PROCESS vote of the people. They don't get one thin dime or one square inch of territory without DUE PROCESS vote of the people, and they can forget about an International Tax that would also be ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL without DUE PROCESS vote of the people. The PEOPLE aren't going to vote "YES" for a single thing wanted or demanded by the U.N.
However, as an individual, I will buy the U.N. a single kite they can share, and the U.N. can go fly a kite. The U.N. is nothing but a parasite on the taxpayers' backs, and we need to get rid of them with a good flea and tick spray.

Emanuel volunteers
Americans to do 'a lot'
'If you're worried about having to do
50 jumping jacks the answer is yes'
A video of a 2006 interview with now-Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for president-elect Barack Obama reveals plans for mandatory induction for all young adults into a civilian "force."
"If you're worried about, are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks, the answer is yes," Emanuel told the interviewer, a reporter who was podcasting for the New York Daily News at the time.
WND reported last weekend when the official website for Obama, Change.gov, announced he would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs.
However, after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama's proposed youth corps, officials softened the website's wording.
Originally, under the tab "America Serves," Change.gov read, "President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps.
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced.
WND previously reported on a video of a marching squad of Obama youth and Obama's "civilian national security force," which he said in July would be just as powerful and well-funded as the U.S. military.
In the interview, Emanuel was questioned whether participants in the proposed force would live in barracks.
"Somewhere between the age of 18 to 25 you will do three months of training. You can do it at some point in your college time," he said. "There can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint, similar experience of what we call civil defense training or civil service."
Emanuel said the planned requiring service "will give people a sense of what it means to be an American."
He said, of course, the plan at that point was flexible.
"We propose three months [but] at the end of the day [if] someone says it should be four … I'm not going sit here and hold up [plans]," Emanuel said.
When the reporter questioned the commitment, Emanuel responded, "Guess what. We have a lot more challenges. We are going to need a lot to do it. If you're worried about are you going to have to do 50 jumping jacks the answer is yes."
He chuckled at the reporters concerns.
"Rather than figure out if whether you take a train ride or a barrack. … Think of it this way, it will be a common experience.
"There will be a body of citizens who are ready, capable and trained," he said.
But the plan, especially its demand that Americans participate in a domestic "force," has been raising questions.
The blogger Gateway Pundit called Obama's plan the "creation of his Marxist youth corps," and DBKP commented, "'Choosing' to serve should be approved by parents – not required by the government. No amount of good intentions can sugar-coat words like 'mandatory,' 'compulsory' or 'required.'"
Emanuel uses his book, "The Plan: Big Ideas for America," to specify that he would propose, for all Americans ages 18 to 25, that they "serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service."
Obama, meanwhile, also has yet to clarify what he meant during his July "Call to Service" speech in Colorado Springs in which he insisted the U.S. "cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set" and needs a "civilian national security force."
Joseph Farah, founder and editor of WND, used his daily column first to raise the issue and then to elevate it with a call to all reporters to start asking questions about it.
"If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?" Farah wrote. "I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?
"Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that? If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?" Farah wrote.
The Obama campaign has declined to respond to WND questions on the issue.
But Farah's call generated intense Internet discussions.
The Blue Collar Muse blog commented, "The questions are legion and the implications of such an organization are staggering! What would it do? According to the title, it's a civilian force so how would it go about discharging 'national security' issues? What are the Constitutional implications for such a group? How is this to be paid. … The statement was made in the context of youth service. Is this an organization for just the youth or are adults going to participate? How does one get away from the specter of other such 'youth' organizations from Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union when talking about it?"

8,000 Beduin stake their claim as the lost tribe of Barack Obama
A sheikh in Galilee says he has evidence that he and his family are linked by blood to the new PresidentJames Hider in Bir al-Maksour
He has a host of relatives in exotic locations from Hawaii to Kenya, and during his run for the American presidency he discovered that he had an aunt living in Boston.
Now Barack Obama is being claimed by not one but as many as 8,000 Beduin tribesmen in northern Israel.
Although the spokesman for the lost tribe of Obama has yet to reveal the documentary evidence that he says he possesses to support his claim, people are flocking from across the region to pay their respects to the “Beduin Obama”, whose social standing has gone through the roof.
“We knew about it years ago but we were afraid to talk about it because we didn’t want to influence the election,” Abdul Rahman Sheikh Abdullah, a 53-year-old local council member, told The Times in the small Beduin village of Bir al-Maksour in the Israeli region of Galilee. “We wrote a letter to him explaining the family connection.”
Mr Obama’s team have not responded to the letter so far but that has not dampened Sheikh Abdullah’s festivities.
He has been handing out sweets and huge dishes of baklava traditional honey-sweetened pastries to all and sundry, and plans to hold a large party next week at which he will slaughter a dozen goats to feed the village.
It was his 95-year-old mother who first spotted the connection, he says. Seeing the charismatic senator on television, she noted a striking resemblance to one of the African migrant workers who used to be employed by rich sheikhs in the fertile north of British Mandate Palestine in the 1930s.
The Africans would sometimes marry local Beduin girls and start families, though, like many migrant workers, would just as frequently return home after several years.
One of those men was a relative of Barack Obama’s Kenyan grandmother, Sheikh Abdullah maintains.
He estimates that his tribe extends to as many as 8,000 members, all of them loosely connected to the African-American senator for Illinois.
Sheikh Abdullah swears that he has papers and pictures to back up his claim but has promised his mother not to divulge them until he has presented them to Mr Obama, something he hopes will happen once his “relative” is in the White House.
“We want to send a delegation to congratulate him, and we know we’ll get an answer soon,” he grinned.
Sheikh Abdullah’s renown as the relative of the soon-to-be most powerful man on Earth has spread like wildfire among the Arab community of northern Israel, and especially among Beduins, a formerly semi-nomadic group of pastoralists corralled into townships by the modern state of Israel.
Two baby boys born into the sheikh’s large clan have even been named Obama.
“We knew he’d win,” the sheikh said, constantly interrupted by a barrage of phone calls from wellwishers and those hoping to cash in on his newfound wasta, an Arabic term denoting influence or clout. “We have always been a lucky family.
“We hope he’ll end all wars and intervene here to solve our problems in Israel. The Beduin are the people who suffer the most here,” he added while greeting a wellwisher from Ghajar, an Arab town divided between Israel and southern Lebanon, the bitter legacy of the Jewish state’s long occupation of southern Lebanon.
“We hope to God that Obama will solve the problem of Ghajar,” said Sheikh Issam al-Khalil, a leading citizen of the divided town, whose residents mostly speak Hebrew and Arabic but many of whom consider themselves as originally Syrian.
“Everyone is talking about [Sheikh Abdullah’s ties to Mr Obama] . . . They believe it. The sheikhs from all the villages are talking about it. There’s a whole delegation of Druze leaders coming from the Golan Heights to congratulate him.”
The history of the Middle East is littered with the stories of false messiahs and their brief followings. For the time being, Sheikh Abdullah is greeting a dozen respectful visitors a day, basking in the reflected glory of what would be not only the first African-American US President but the first one who could claim kinship with an entire clan of Beduins.
I didn't realize that Barakkkkkkk (Agh. Fur ball again. Sorry) had lost his tribe. Now that they are found though and they are migrants who usually return maybe Barakkkkkkk (Sorry.) could return also.

Why Obama voters won't repeat their mistake
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Commentary
While it's true that the Republican Party must do some soul-searching and needs to restore its commitment to limited government and traditional values that made it so successful in the past, the truth is, the future is not as bleak as advertised. The party is more in a state of recession than depression. A full analysis of the 2008 election bears this out.
America still center-right
In addition, a majority of Americans still support traditional American values. Initiatives to uphold traditional marriage were on the ballots in two states carried by President-elect Obama, California and Florida. In both states, voters passed measures to ban gay marriage.
In California, where Obama beat McCain 61 percent to 37 percent, "values voters" beat special interest voters 52.5 percent to 47.5 percent on the issue of same-sex marriage.
In Florida, another state won by Obama, the margin of victory for values voters was even more substantial – 62 percent of Floridians voted against gay marriage, while only 38 percent voted in favor. Many of these values voters who voted for Obama and against gay marriage will certainly be disappointed in Obama's presidency.
Likewise, when Obama and the Democratic Congress institute the "Freedom of Choice Act" and lift all state restrictions on abortion, how will the 49 percent of Catholics who attend church on a weekly basis feel about their vote for Obama?
Read stunning blueprint for upcoming White House agenda. Get Brad O'Leary's blockbuster, "The Audacity of Deceit," for just $4.95 today – a $21 savings!
How will the roughly 9.1 million evangelical Christians who voted for Obama vote in the next election? Will Obama's actions compel the 31.2 million evangelicals who didn't vote in the 2008 election to vote next time?
President-elect Obama deceived gun owners as well. In rural district after rural district, he aired commercials, dropped fliers and dispatched surrogates to dupe voters into believing he strongly supports the Second Amendment. Polls show that National Rifle Association members weren't fooled, but gun owners who didn't have access to the NRA's massive political communications system were duped. A full 37 percent of voters in gun-owning households pulled the lever for Obama, despite his long history of hostility toward gun owners. Another 80 million eligible voters in gun-owning households didn't vote at all, nor did 3 million union gun owners. Money buys deception, as Obama and his supporters easily outspent the NRA's political victory fund 20 to 1. And this doesn't count the money spent by union bosses to convince the 6.43 million gun owners within their ranks to vote for Obama. How will they vote next time, after witnessing President Obama's disdain for their right to hunt and their right to use a firearm for self-defense?
McCain was the candidate of special interests – or was he?
The notion that Obama's fundraising advantage was the result of a groundswell of donations from average Americans is a myth. Obama raised substantially more money from special interests than McCain during the campaign, according to Federal Election Commission data.
For example:
Obama had 66 percent more individual wealthy special-interest donors (donors who gave the maximum allowable contribution of $4,600) than McCain.
Lawyers and lobbyists gave 245 percent more to Obama than they gave to McCain.
The investment industry gave 59 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The banking and finance industries gave 19 percent more to Obama than McCain.
Labor unions gave 1,880 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The education industry gave 1,075 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The film and music industries gave 615 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The hedge fund industry gave 69 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The pharmaceutical industry gave 187 percent more to Obama than McCain.
The health care industry gave 98 percent more to Obama than McCain.
So much for Obama's campaign being fueled by "the little guy." In reality, he is more beholden than ever to special interests, as you can see from the groups listed above, which gave him a total of $148,932,012.
95 percent who are getting tax relief from Obama
Obama was also able to gain substantial support for his candidacy by running on an issue that Republicans used to own: tax cuts. The president-elect constantly repeated in the debates, and told anyone who would listen, that his economic plan would cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans.
This would equate to 274 million Americans receiving a tax cut. However, a true analysis of his tax plan shows that only 40 percent of Americans will actually get a tax cut. This means that 173 million Americans Obama told would get a tax cut won't get one. How do you think they will vote in the next election?
Additionally, when the 13 million wealthiest American taxpayers discover that $1 trillion of their hard-earned money will go to a U.N. welfare program and another trillion will go to tax credits for people with no income tax liability, how many of them will vote differently next time? How many of the 6 million wealthiest Americans who didn't vote will be motivated to do so in the next election?
The final numbers in perspective
In the end, McCain received 6.7 million more votes than George W. Bush received in 2000, 13.3 million more votes than Ronald Reagan received in 1980, and 2.7 million more than Reagan received in 1984.
Many Democrats projected they would gain 10 seats or more in the Senate. However, they managed only six and fell short of achieving a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority. (Three Senate seats are still technically undecided, however. Republicans lead in all three.) In the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrat projections of a 30-seat gain fell way short. As of this writing, they gained 20 seats (four elections are still too close to call, and Republicans are leading in three of them.)
For its part, the media breathlessly warned of nationwide voter problems due to unprecedented turnout. However, the percentage of eligible voters who turned out in 2008 was roughly the same as it was in 2004, and there was no substantial turnout of young voters. This is hardly the groundswell for which the Democrats had hoped.
Though the Democrats may call Obama's victory a landslide, the true margin of victory was about 1 million votes spread out over seven battleground states. Not quite as large as the Electoral College indicates. And, there were roughly 35 million eligible conservative voters who did not cast a ballot in this election. If just 1 million of these conservatives had turned out to vote in Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Colorado, Nevada, Virginia and North Carolina, McCain would have received 274 electoral votes and won the election.
So, yes, it is true that the Republican Party has some serious work ahead of it. Yet proper perspective indicates that it's a stock worth buying and all is not lost.

Obama camp: Lawsuits by citizens are 'garbage'
Legal challenges spring up across U.S., demand proof of eligibility for office
© 2008 WorldNetDaily
More than a half-dozen legal challenges have been filed in federal and state courts demanding President-elect Barack Obama's decertification from ballots or seeking to halt elector meetings, claiming he has failed to prove his U.S. citizenship status.
An Obama campaign spokeswoman told WND the complaints are unfounded.
"All I can tell you is that it is just pure garbage," she said. "There have been several lawsuits, but they have been dismissed."
WND is tracking the progress of many cases across the U.S., including the following:
Ohio
David M. Neal of Turtlecreek Township, Ohio, filed suit in Warren Common Pleas Court in October to force Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Warren County Magistrate Andrew Hasselbach denied Neal's request, saying, "The onus is upon one who challenges such public officer to demonstrate an abuse of discretion by admissible evidence – not hearsay, conclusory allegations or pure speculation."
Connecticut
Connecticut resident Cort Wrotnowski challenged the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate on Oct. 31, and asked the court to order Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz to verify Obama's citizenship before allowing the candidate to appear on the state ballot. State Supreme Court Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers threw out the case for lack of jurisdiction within a half hour of reviewing it.
"I have not seen the ruling yet," Wrotnowski told WND. "So, in reality, the case was not heard on its merits. … Currently, we are assembling information for another and better try."
Washington
As WND reported earlier, Steven Marquis of Fall City, Wash., filed suit Oct. 9 in Washington State Superior Court, calling for Secretary of State Sam Reed to determine whether Obama is a citizen before Election Day. Marquis released a statement saying the state has the authority to "prevent the wholesale disenfranchisement of voters" who might have otherwise had the opportunity to choose a qualified candidate should records show Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Marquis said Obama's Hawaii birth certificate isn't evidence that the president-elect is a natural-born citizen because it doesn't reveal the hospital where Obama was born, a doctor's name or the baby's footprint, the Associated Press reported.
Superior Court Judge John Erlick dismissed the lawsuit, claiming the secretary of state does not have authority to inquire about Obama's birth certificate. He also said Marquis failed to name Obama as a party to the lawsuit.
New Jersey
In Leo C. Donofrio v. Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey, retired attorney and New Jersey resident Leo. C. Donofrio asked the U.S. Supreme Court for an emergency stay on Nov. 3 prohibiting three candidates from appearing on New Jersey's ballots: Republican candidate John McCain, Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Socialist Worker's Party candidate Roger Calero.
Donofrio claimed the candidates are not "natural born citizens" as enumerated in Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States, which states, "No person except a natural born citizen of the United States, at the time of adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President."
He wrote, Obama is not eligible for the presidency "even if it were proved he was born in Hawaii, since … Senator Obama's father was born in Kenya and therefore, having been born with split and competing loyalties, candidate Obama is not a 'natural born citizen' …"
"Republican candidate John McCain was born in Panama," the request states. "Socialist Workers Party candidate Roger Calero was born in Nicaragua. And the birthplace of Democratic candidate Barack Obama has not been verified by Respondent."
Donofrio said Panama has never been considered U.S. soil, and that McCain is merely a citizen at birth by statute, and not a "natural born citizen."
With three ineligible presidential candidates on ballots, Donofrio warned, New Jersey voters will "witness firsthand the fraud their electoral process has become."
Justice David Souter denied Donofrio's application on Nov. 6. However, his case is still pending as an emergency stay application. Donofrio is resubmitting his request for an emergency stay of the national election results and Electoral College meeting to Justice Clarence Thomas.
Pennsylvania
As WND reported earlier, prominent Pennsylvania Democrat and attorney Philip J. Berg filed suit in U.S. District Court three months ago claiming Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Berg claimed that by failing to respond Obama has legally "admitted" to the lawsuit's accusations, including the charge that the Democratic candidate was born in Mombosa, Kenya.
U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick dismissed Berg's argument on Oct, 24, ruling that he lacked standing to bring the case. He said Berg's allegations were "too vague and too attenuated."
"This is a question of who has standing to uphold our Constitution," Berg told Jeff Schreiber of America's Right blog. "If I don't have standing, if you don't have standing, if your neighbor doesn't have standing to question the eligibility of an individual to be president of the United States – the commander in chief, the most powerful person in the world – then who does?"
Berg filed a writ of certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct.30, to force Obama to produce his birth certificate. Justice David Souter rejected an emergency appeal on Nov. 3, for the court to halt the tabulation of the 2008 presidential election results until Obama documented his eligibility to run for office. However, Souter set a schedule for a response from Obama, the DNC and all co-defendants on or before Dec. 1.
"I look forward to receiving Defendant Obama's response to the Writ and am hopeful the U.S. Supreme Court will review Berg v. Obama," Berg wrote in a Nov. 7 statement. "I believe Mr. Obama is not a consitutionally-qualified natural-born citizen and is ineligible to assume the office of the President of the United States."

Georgia
Rev. Tom Terry of Atlanta, Ga., appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court the day before the election to determine authenticity of Obama's original birth certificate and his qualifications to be president.
"I bear no personal ill will against Barack Obama," Terry, an independent, said in a statement. "In fact, his election solely on the basis as the first African-American president-elect is a very positive thing for our nation. However, as an American, I have very grave concerns about Mr. Obama's possible divided loyalties since he has strenuously and vigorously fought every request and every legal effort to force him to release his original birth certificate for public review and scrutiny. I think that is significant."
On Oct 24, Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter denied Terry's request for an injunction against Secretary of State Karen Handel.
"I don't think you have standing to bring this suit," he said. "I think that the attorney general has argued the law. I think he is correct. I think you are not a lawyer."
Terry is appealing his suit even though Obama didn't win Georgia because he said he wants to set an example for other states. He is asking the court to direct Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel to decertify all votes for Obama.
"Hopefully, this action will be noticed by other states and they will also take a serious look at the meaning of Georgia's Supreme Court's actions," he said. "It is apropos that the Latin motto in the Georgia Supreme Court is interpreted: 'Let justice be done, though the heavens fall.' I think if the Court rules in my favor, that motto will come alive with meaning and impact."
Hawaii
On Oct. 17, Andy Martin filed a writ of mandamus in Hawaii's Supreme Court to compel Gov. Linda Lingle to release a certified copy of Obama's vital statistics record. His request to expedite the circuit court was denied on Oct. 22.
Martin now has a pending case seeking access to Obama's original 1961 typewritten birth certificate. The circuit court hearing is set to begin Nov. 18.
The saga continues …
Several unconfirmed reports also indicate that citizens of Utah, Wyoming, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Texas, California and Virginia have also filed lawsuits or requested court orders to verify Obama's citizenship status.
As reported earlier, WND senior investigative reporter Jerome Corsi traveled both to Kenya and Hawaii to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth.
But his discoveries only raised more questions.
The governor's office in Hawaii said he had a valid certificate but rejected requests for access and left ambiguous its origin – leaving some to wonder if the certificate on file with the Department of Health indicates a Hawaiian birth or whether it was generated after the Obama family registered a Kenyan birth in Hawaii.
The Obama campaign posted a certification of live birth, a document stating the baby was born on Aug. 4, 1961. However, according to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, there is a difference between the two documents. A certification of live birth is not an authentication of Hawaiian birth, and critics say the procedure could have allowed Obama's mother to have the baby elsewhere, return to the U.S. and obtain the document in Hawaii.
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands makes a distinction between the two:
In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL.
However, Andy Martin has specifically requested verification of the original 1961 type-written certificate of live birth – or, as the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands describes it, the "more complete record" of Obama's birth.
Further adding to complications, Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro, has named two different Hawaii hospitals where Obama could have been born. In a November 2004 interview with the Rainbow Newsletter, Maya told reporters her half-brother Sen. Barack Obama was born on Aug. 4, 1961, at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu; then in February 2008, Maya told reporters for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin that Obama was at the Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children.
But a video posted on YouTube features Obama's Kenyan grandmother Sarah claiming to have witnessed Obama's birth in Kenya.
Seeking to settle the issue, Hawaii Department of Health Director Director Chiyome Fukino released an Oct. 31 statement saying, "State law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record. Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai'i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai'i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures."
The statement does not clarify whether "the record" is a certification of live birth or a Hawaiian certificate of live birth.
Before the election, WND retained a top private investigator in Hawaii with extensive FBI training and tasked him with visiting both the Queens Medical Center and the Kaliolani Medical Center to investigate claims that Obama birth certificates existed at either hospital.
However, the private investigator reported that sheriff's deputies were stationed at both hospitals to fend off press inquiries about Obama's birth certificate.
When WND asked the Obama campaign spokeswoman why Obama simply hasn't released the original 1961 certificate of live birth to make the lawsuits go away, she replied, "I have no idea. I think they released what they chose to release, and Hawaii has confirmed that he was born in Hawaii, so I don't know what else you want."

Communist Party hails role of labor unions in Obama win
Socialist activist pledges 'no let down' in helping White House bring 'change we need'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
© 2008 WorldNetDaily
The official magazine of the Communist Party USA has lauded the important role of labor unions in electing Sen. Barack Obama and quotes socialist-aligned labor leaders hoping the unions can work with the president-elect to enact policies related to jobs, retirement security and health care reform.
In a separate article, the Communist Party's Political Affairs magazine quotes a prominent socialist activist and longtime Obama friend petitioning the president-elect to push through a "single payer" health care system, or socialized universal medicine.
In an article titled, "Special Interest or Class Consciousness? How Labor Put Obama in the White House," Political Affairs reports on polling data released earlier this week revealing the extent of union support for Obama.
The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, or AFL-CIO, sponsored a poll showing union members supported Obama by a 68-30 margin and strongly influenced their family members.
According to the survey, Obama won among white men who are union members by 18 points. Union gun-owners backed Obama by 12 points, while union veterans voted for Obama by a 25-point margin. In the general population, Obama lost these groups by significant margins.
Political Affairs quoted AFL-CIO President John Sweeney, a longtime member of the Boston chapter of the Democrat Socialists for America, expressing hope labor unions can continue working with Obama.
"We have taken the first crucial steps to build a better future for our children and grandchildren. And what we've seen – the stunning voter participation and the common call for change – is an indication of the history we can continue to make together," Sweeney said.
"The election is just step one in delivering the change we need," Sweeney said. "Working men and women are poised to keep the energy pumping to help the Obama administration lead the change we need. There will be no gap or letdown."
The communist magazine said priorities for labor unions are "regulating Wall Street and restoring fairness to international trade," as well as "health care reform" to provide coverage to "nearly 50 million people without insurance and make medical care affordable for all."
In an adjacent article, the communist magazine features a plea from Quentin Young, a long-time Obama friend and socialist activist, calling for socialized medicine, which is is a major platform issue for both the Communist Party USA and the Democratic Socialists for America.
Quentin Young and Barack Obama
"The only effective cure for our health care woes is to establish a single, publicly financed system, one that removes the inefficient, wasteful, for-profit private health insurance industry from the picture," said Young, who is the national coordinator of Physicians for a National Health Program.
"Our country is hailing the remarkable and historic victory of Barack Obama and the mandate for change the electorate has awarded him."
Young said the adoption of a single-payer health system should be a "major component of the new president's economic rescue of Main Street."
Young noted Obama previously expressed support of a single-payer universal health care program, although he later waffled when asked about his position.
As an Illinois state senator representing a mostly black district on the south side of Chicago, Obama publicly supported universal healthcare. He also co-sponsored the Bernardin Amendment, which did not pass but which would have amended the Illinois State Constitution to add health care to the list of basic rights for residents.
The New Zeal blog documents how Young has been active in Chicago socialist circles and was previously accused of membership in a communist group. In 1992, Chicago's branch of the Democratic Socialists of America awarded Young, a member, with their highest honor – the Debs Award.
Young has had a relationship with Obama, particularly in the 1990s, when he reportedly advised Obama on issues of healthcare. Young was reportedly present at a 1995 meeting at the home of former Weathermen terrorist Bill Ayers that was said to have launched Obama's political career.
In a recent interview, Young said his opinion of Obama changed in 2005 after he voted to confirm Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state and waffled on supporting single prayer health care.
"I knew him before he was political," Young said of Obama, speaking to the Health Care Now website. "I supported him when he ran for state senate. When he was a state senator he did say that he supported single payer. Now, he hedges. Now he says, if we were starting from scratch, he would support single payer.
"Barack's a smart man," Young said. "He probably calculated the political cost for being for single payer – the shower of opposition from the big boys – the drug companies and the health insurance companies. And so, like the rest of them, he fashioned a hodge podge of a health insurance plan.
"When I heard about the vote [to confirm Rice], I wrote him a letter," Young said. "I told him I was disappointed in him. Rice was the embodiment of everything that was wrong with this administration. So, he called me back and he said 'Why didn't you pick up the phone and call me?' And he said, 'Do you think Bush would ever send to the Senate a nominee for secretary of state who I could vote for?' I said you are the constitutional lawyer. It's about advice and consent, right? You should have denied him your consent."
The Communist Party USA seems to be thrilled with Obama's win. WND reported earlier this week a newspaper identified with the party hailed Obama's election as a victory for the "working class" and called on the president-elect to carry out his promises, including his noted commitment to "spread the wealth."

An interesting article on what Obama is going to face as he takes over the Presidency.

Obama camp: Lawsuits by citizens are 'garbage'
Legal challenges spring up across U.S., demand proof of eligibility for office
These lawsuits do need to move forward with the results of Obama being made to provide the necessary proof that he is indeed eligible to hold the office of President. As long as he and the courts withhold this information it will do nothing but undermine his ability to properly administer this office.
Can you imagine the uproar and legal ramifications that will ensue though if the information is against him? The 60's will look very mild in comparison.

Bill Ayers: Bombings weren't terrorism
In TV interview says Republicans 'demonized' him to damage Obama
William Ayers, the 1960s radical whose violent history became a focal point in the 2008 presidential election, said today that the Republicans unfairly "demonized" him in an attempt to damage the campaign of President-elect Obama.
Ayers defended his bomb-throwing past and repeated a statement that has infuriated his critics: "I don't think we did enough."
The college professor also argued to "Good Morning America's" Chris Cuomo today that the bombing campaign by the Weather Underground, the group he helped found, was not terrorism.
The Weather Underground bombed the Capitol, the Pentagon and the New York City Police Department in protest of the Vietnam War.
"It's not terrorism because it doesn't target people, to kill or injure," Ayers said.
Ayers became a boogeyman for Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin, who demanded to know more about Obama's relationship with his Chicago neighbor. Palin accused Obama of "palling around ... with a terrorist."
Breaking his silence today, Ayers said that the GOP attack was a "dishonest narrative ... to demonize me."
"I don't buy the idea that guilt by association should have any part of our politics," he said.
Ayers scoffed at the Republican effort to make his ties to Obama appear suspicious.
"This idea that we need to know more, like there's some dark, hidden secret, some secret link," Ayers said. "It's a myth thrown up by people who want to exploit the politics of fear."
But he was unapologetic about his militant actions during the Vietnam War.
"What you call the violent past, that was a time when thousands of people were being murdered every month by our own government. ... We were on the right side," he told "GMA."
The co-founder of the Weather Underground was, as McCain has claimed, unrepentant about the the bombings his group committed during the 1960s.
"The content of the Vietnam protest is that there were despicable acts going on, but the despicable acts were being done by our government. ... I never hurt or killed anyone," Ayers said.
"Frankly, I don't think we did enough, just as today I don't think we've done enough to stop these wars," he said.
Ayers softened his stand on violence during the "GMA" interview.
"We knew it was wrong. We knew it was illegal. We knew it was immoral," he said, but the group's members felt they "had to do more" to stop the Vietnam War.
He urged people today "to participate in resistance, in nonviolent, direct action" to stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ayers, 63, currently a distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, became a political pinata for McCain and Palin during the presidential campaign.
Despite Obama's attempt to portray their relationship as a distant one, Ayers, in a new afterward to his book "Fugitive Days," describes Obama as a "neighbor and family friend."
On "GMA," Ayers again downplayed any close ties to Obama despite the reference to"family friend."
"I'm talking there about the fact that I became an issue, unwillingly and unwittingly," he said. "It was a profoundly dishonest narrative. ... I'm describing there how the blogosphere characterized the relationship."
"I would say, really, that we knew each other in a professional way on the same level of, say, thousands of other people," he said.
He added, echoing a phrase that Obama used to describe Ayers, "I am a guy around the neighborhood."
Ayers acknowledged that he held a reception in his home when Obama began his political run for state office.
"He was probably in 20 homes that day," Ayers said.
During the campaign, Obama tried to defuse the Ayers issue by condemning Ayers' past actions as "detestable."
"The notion that ... me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense," Obama said.
Palin Still Concerned About Ayers Tie
Ayers remained silent during the presidential race, but his proximity to Obama was highlighted on Election Day when the two men nearly ran into each other in the same polling place. As recently as Wednesday, Palin was still raising the Ayers' issue, telling NBC that she was still concerned about Obama's relationship to the former radical. Palin was the fiercest critic of the Obama-Ayers tie, accusing Obama of "palling around with a domestic terrorist." While he was a fugitive, he married Bernardine Dorhn, another member of the Weather Underground.
Obama and Ayers have several connections. The two men have also served on boards together, including the Woods Fund of Chicago and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.
