Otis Moss compares Wright to Jesus, backs up predecessor on AIDS, drugs

 More pastor problems for Sen. Barack Obama?

The man slated to become chief pastor at the Trinity United Church of Christ has called blacks "lepers" with a "skin disease," claimed U.S. entertainment corporations operate with "disdain" for black people, and in a fiery sermon claimed retired pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright was "lynched" by the media and compared the embattled pastor to Jesus.

Otis Moss III, lauded this week by Obama as a "wonderful young pastor," also recently refused to deny claims by Wright that the U.S. government was involved in distributing illegal drugs to minorities or spreading the AIDS virus to blacks.

The 37-year-old Moss, nicknamed the "hip-hop pastor" by congregants, will become the head of Trinity Christ in June, taking over for Wright, whose controversial remarks landed Obama in hot water.

Following a series of national media interviews given by Wright last week, Obama strongly denounced some of Wright's statements as "divisive and destructive."

Wright had defended his views that the U.S. was to blame for the 9-11 attacks and referred to Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan as "one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century." Wright also quoted controversial Farrakhan remarks, such as his calling "Zionism" a "gutter religion."

While slamming Wright this week, Obama told the New York Times he will continue his membership in Trinity. He referred to Moss as "wonderful."

"Well, you know, the new pastor – the young pastor, Rev. Otis Moss, is a wonderful young pastor. And as I said, I still very much value the Trinity community."

In what was labeled his first national broadcast interview, Moss spoke last month to National Public Radio amid national media controversy surrounding some of Wright's views.

NPR interviewer Michelle Noris asked about Wright's statements regarding the spread of drugs and AIDS:

"As part of a member of this new generation is that a concept that you embrace? That the government was involved in the distribution of drugs or in the spread of HIV and AIDS?" asked Noris.

Moss replied: "Well, I think in terms of that particular narrative, I think we need to be very, very honest in terms of that our government has the ability to place a Hubble Telescope in the sky but yet we haven't had the political will to shut down drugs coming into our community. And from that perspective I think that's something we can look at in terms of policy. That we just have lacked the political will."

Like Wright, Moss has a trail of fiery sermons posted on YouTube.

In one, an animated Moss compares blacks to biblical "lepers" who have a "skin disease."

"You see they still are lepers. They still have a skin disease. They had a skin disease. They had a skin disease. Based on their skin condition, they were considered to be second-class citizens. They had a skin issue. They had a skin disease.

"And the lepers lived in a leper project. The lepers had bad health care. The lepers were disrespected. They had funny names for lepers. The lepers were considered inferior. They had an inferior school system. The lepers lived in a ghetto leper colony. The lepers were segregated from everybody else," he continued.

Moss went on to imply those who segregated blacks are the "enemy."

"But they (blacks) refused to give up. They decided to leave the city. They said that's not going to stop me from my destiny. Once they left the particular area, they then find out God has cooked things up. The camp of the enemy...nobody is there. So they go into the enemy's camp. They find food. They find shelter. They find gold. They find silver. They even find some drink. In the enemy's camp. They find gin and juice. In the enemy's camp."

"The one who wanted to destroy them ends up being the one who blesses them. Every once in a while God will use your enemies to end up blessing you," said Moss.

In his Easter sermon last month, Moss said Wright was "lynched" by the international media.

"No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching,” Moss said.

"The lynching was national news. The RNN, the Roman News Network, was reporting it and NPR, National Publican Radio had it on the radio. The Jerusalem Post and the Palestine Times all wanted exclusives, they searched out the young ministers, showed up unannounced at their houses, tried to talk with their families, called up their friends, wanted to get a quote on how do you feel about the lynching?” he stated.

He went on to compare Wright to Jesus:

"The people gathered around Jesus, they knew better. But they kept repeating sound bytes from his ministry. They kept saying, you know, things like the last shall be first and didn't say the first shall be last."

"They just kept quoting things. Did not talk about his parables. Did not talk about his work. Just there he is on the cross being lynched. No rabbis came to the aid of Jesus during his lynching."

Moss served under Wright as an assistant pastor for two years. He graduated from Yale Divinity School and is the son of a preacher and former adviser to Martin Luther King Jr.

Under Wright, Moss wrote in the Trinity church newsletter that American entertainment companies operate with contempt for the black community.

"Currently, there are about eight companies controlling 90% of everything we hear, read, watch on television or view in the movie theater. These companies operate with contempt and disdain for the Black community," Moss wrote.

He was introducing an article featured in the newsletter about the music industry and blacks.

That same church newsletter was widely featured in the media after it was reported the bulletin reprinted an opinion piece by a top Hamas official that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group's official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America's Declaration of Independence.

The Hamas piece was published on Wright's "Pastor's Page," which later printed an open letter by a pro-Palestinian activist that labeled Israel an "apartheid" regime and claimed the Jewish state worked on an "ethnic bomb" that kills "blacks and Arabs."

This whole situation has done about as much for race relations as the KKK did.

It appears that most of Obama's supporters don't believe that he is capable of this kind of race hatred and a list of other RADICAL history. This is the real Obama, but most people don't believe it yet. WHY? - I don't know. They've been deceived into believing the portrait that Obama has painted of himself, but the portrait bears no resemblance to any portion of his life - not now and not ever. Obama mentor: 'Smash on, victory-eating Red Army'
Poetry also lambastes 'Sweet Jesus,' mocks 'Onward Christian Soldiers'

The man who heavily influenced U.S. Sen. Barack Obama during his growing years wrote poetry praising the aggression of communism, criticizing "Sweet Jesus" and mocking the traditional hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers," according to an advocate for media accuracy.

WND reported earlier when Cliff Kincaid wrote at Accuracy in Media about the link between Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, and Obama, who cited a mysterious "Frank" in his book.

Now Kincaid has uncovered poetry written by Davis that hails the Soviet Union's Red Army, with a call to "Smash on, victory-eating Red Army," and a wide range of attacks on or mockery of Christianity.

"One Davis poem, 'Christ is a Dixie Ni—er,' dismisses Christ as 'another New White Hope' and declares: 'Remember this, you wise guys Your tales about Jesus of Nazareth are no-go with Me I've got a dozen Christs in Dixie all bloody and black…," Kincaid said.

He said the poems from Davis are in the book "Black Moods" which was edited by John Tidwell, a University of Kansas professor and expert on Davis' writings. He confirmed to Kincaid that Davis joined the Communist Party but that he publicly tried to deny his affiliations.

"Davis' poem, 'To the Red Army,' says that 'rich industrialists' in Washington and London wanted Hitler to win and 'wipe Communism from the globe,'" Kincaid said, adding, "One Davis poem, 'Onward Christian Soldiers,' mocks the Christian hymn by the same name. It talks of Africans being killed with 'Christian gun' instead of a spear by the missionaries following 'the religion of Sweet Jesus.'

"Another Davis poem refers to Christians 'who buy righteousness like groceries,'" Kincaid said.

The writings of Davis are being reviewed because he served as a father-figure to Obama, a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for U.S. president.

They were together while Obama was growing up in Hawaii, and in his book, "Dreams From My Father," Obama acknowledges he took advice from a black poet named "Frank," Kincaid said.

"The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where he developed his close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, and listened to his 'poetry' and views," Kincaid wrote on the AIM website.

"Tidwell says that several Davis poems were viewed as 'subversive' by the FBI and that they help explain why it monitored his activities," Kincaid wrote.

For example, Davis' poem called "Peace Quiz for America," asks: "Uncle Sam, Uncle Sam Why did you send me against Axis foes In the death-kissed foxholes Of New Guinea and Europe Without shielding my back From the sniping Dixie lynchers."

Nearly five decades ago, the House Committee on Un-American Activities heard testimony from the Honolulu branch of the NAACP, which concluded Davis had tried to "propagandize" its membership.

Kincaid, in a statement on his USA Survival organization website, said a full report will be released May 22 on how communist and socialist forces have influenced Obama.

"Herbert Romerstein, a former investigator for the House Committee on Un-American Activities, will present a detailed report on Obama's years in Hawaii, when he came into contact with and under the influence of a member of the Communist Party, Frank Marshall Davis," Kincaid said.

He also will detail "Obama's years in Chicago, when he came into contact with and under the influence of communists, socialists, and even communist terrorists. There is a very disturbing pattern here … It can be no accident that Obama always seems to gravitate to the most extreme, anti-American forces. If you think Rev. [Jeremiah] Wright [Obama's pastor] is something, wait until you see the information that we have developed."

Wright has made comments suggesting American invented AIDS and infected blacks with the disease, and the U.S. deserved the attack of 9/11 because of the "terrorism" it inflicted on other nations.

Kincaid writes that in addition to Tidwell's confirmation, another book, "The New Red Negro: The Literary Left and African American Poetry, 1930-1946, names Davis as one of several black poets published in Communist Party-supported publications.

I agree completely. It is difficult to see how the democratic party could do this. It is equally difficult to see some of the the things that all of the parties are doing today. The U. S. as we have known it is coming to a quick end. It is no longer One Nation Under God as it has been. If Barack Obama does manage to get into the office of President it will only bring about the complete ending to this nation even quicker. Yet, if he does not make it into office I can see the possibility of that happening also because of the disgruntled people that are supporting him. A camera which caught Obama on the political stage during a fund raiser for Sen. Tom Harkin in Iowa with presidential candidates Bill Richardson and Hillary Clinton shows his lack of respect to this nation during the singing of the National Anthem. Angered that the photo was released (and because the reporter erroneously stated the photo was taken during the Pledge of Allegiance rather than the singing of the national anthem, Obama said: 'This is the classic dirty trick. This was not the Pledge of Allegiance. The woman was singing the Star Spangled Banner.'
As a sign of respect to their nation, many Americans place their hand over their heart when the National Anthem is played as well as when they recite the Pledge. In his case, Obama said '...I was taught by my grandfather that you put your hands over your heart during the Pledge of Allegiance. The Star Spangled Banner, you sing.' Only, when you look at the photo, its very clear that neither Obama nor the others on stage are singing. It was, however, the singing of the national anthem.

National and International Muslim American Leader Imam W.D. Mohammed endorsed Sen. Barack Obama saying 'He is the best candidate for the Presidency.'

Muslim Congressman Keith Ellision endorsed the 2008 presidential campaign of Sen. Obama saying ''He speaks with a unifying spirit.' He said he supports 'Obama's message of an open and fair economy, a balanced prosperity and clear opposition to the war in Iraq.'

Obama attempted to get his crony, Federal Indictee Tony Rezko, a contract to build a nuclear power plant in the new Iraq. Rezko, a Syrian Arab who helped Obama in a deal to purchase his home, was in a partnership with Nation Of Islam founder Elijah Muhammad's son, Jabir.
Barack Obama can denounce Louis Farrakhan ad infinitum. But with supporters like Ms. Saltzman, high-level staffers who are Nation of Islam members, and constantly morphing views on Israel merely for donor appeal, a Barack Obama White House bodes poorly both for Israel and far more importantly, for America.
Obama's Minister, Rev. Wright and his church presented Louis Farrakhan their 'Man Of the Year' award. Not an award one might expect from a Christian church.
Does Obama see himself as the man who will free the Muslim world from the Great Satan since his first action, he says, as President of the United States will be to pull all Americans troops out of the Middle East? The voters need to figure out exactly who Barack Obama's constituents really are because when I add 2 + 2 + Obama, it doesn't come out four.
 When Obama's mother moved to Indonesia-before she married her second Muslim husband-she enrolled her son in Francis Assisis Catholic School. He was enrolled as a Muslim because he was a Muslim. The enrollment form required each student to choose one of five state-sanctioned religions when enrolling: Buddhist, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, or Protestant. Had he been a lifelong Christian, or even a recent convert, he-or his mother-would have circled Protestant.
When confronted with this information, Obama said he couldn't understand how such an error could have happened. Los Angeles Times reporter Paul Watson, who dug into Obama's allegation of error, said '...his former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama's grade school teacher as childhood friends, says Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both schools he attended. The registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion classes. The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque.' (Something el se Obama claims he never did.) '...Obama's younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only 'for big communal events' not every Friday.' Obama, who belongs to a church that teaches that the Muslims of the world were wronged by both Israel and the United States, cannot afford to be labeled as a 'Muslim' by voters who expect the United States to win the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan where their sons and daughters are being killed by Muslims.

Thanks! I expect that more and more information like this is going to come out. There really is much more, and the much more isn't pretty. It's very sad that our country has sunken SO LOW - SO QUICKLY. Many of our best and most honest politicians are giving up the fight and going to the house. If we take a hard look at what most politicians are trying to accomplish, it's to destroy what's left of a once great country that was definitely UNDER GOD. This may be another sign of the End Days of this Age of Grace.

My jaw just hangs open.  You all know that I work in a place where I am surrounded by other Christians.  Indeed I work for a Christian organization.  And yet I am seeing some wearing "Obama" pins!  I don't understand this.  I really just don't understand.  And I really don't want to start a debate with a co-worker over politics, but I just know me.  And "Me" has a big mouth and is very opinionated.  What to do, what to do?  Keep my mouth shut.

I just checked out FOX news and it looks like Obama won NC but is trailing Hillary but only by two in Indiana.

Ya know, I just don't know.  I don't like ANY of the three and I don't think that I can in good conscience place my vote for any of them.  Some might say that I'm wasting a vote if I do a "write-in", but I think I'm wasting a vote anyway if I vote for any of the choices we have and at least my conscience is clear because I didn't sell out.  I think that this old world is had no matter which one ends up there because whatever happens is in God's good plan.
I'm honestly thinking about writing in "Huckabee" and at least letting my vote make a statement.
