Brothers and Sisters,

This is definitely horrible and an example of how skilled the devil is. YES - we should be praying for this man and many others who are being consumed by the devil. YES - he can be forgiven by GOD if he wants to be. He can also be forgiven by man.

I would say that this man has committed criminal acts that must be answered for. I'm guessing from the details in the article that this man isn't ready yet to begin what should be done. The criminal acts are only part of this, small really in comparison to GOD.

It's very sad to know how much the LORD'S Work has been hurt by this. This is a HUGE hypocrisy that the devil will use with great skill for some time to come. It could also be an example of the devil quoting Scripture, but we really don't know at this point. Only GOD knows. As we should all know, all Christians are sinners SAVED BY GRACE! The only unforgivable sin after the CROSS is rejection of JESUS CHRIST!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Favorite Bible Quotes 56 - 1 John 2:20-29 But ye have an unction from
the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you
because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie
is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is
the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that
acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 24 Let that therefore
abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye
have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall
continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise
that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 26 These things have I
written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing
which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any
man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,
and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall
abide in him. 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he
shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at
his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one
that doeth righteousness is born of him.

38,000 Protest Over S. Korean President's Alleged Pro-Christian Bias

Tens of thousands of South Korean Buddhists took to the streets of Seoul last week to protest what they say is pro-Christian bias in the administration of President Lee Myung-bak.

Mon, Sep. 01, 2008 Posted: 10:45 AM EDT

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Tens of thousands of South Korean Buddhists took to the streets of Seoul on Wednesday to protest what they say is pro-Christian bias in the administration of President Lee Myung-bak.

Discontent among Buddhists has been brewing for months over Lee's alleged favoritism toward Christianity. Buddhists have criticized Lee, a Presbyterian, for filling most of his Cabinet and top presidential posts with other Christians.

Police estimated that 38,000 people, including 4,000 monks, gathered Wednesday at Seoul's City Hall. Organizers said they would march to the Jogye temple, South Korea's main Buddhist temple, several blocks away.

Buddhist ire was raised again in June when the transportation ministry dropped Buddhist temples from electronic maps of the public transit system and by a photo in which the head of the national police agency posed with a famous pastor at a Christian event.

The ministry said the omission of the temples was a mistake by a lower official and they were later restored to the maps.

Adding fuel to the fire was a police inspection of the car of the Venerable Jikwan, head of the Jogye Order, South Korea's largest Buddhist sect, in July when his car was moving out of the Jogye temple. The temple is harboring some eight civic activists who led weeks of street rallies earlier this year against Lee's decision to resume imports of U.S. beef.

The protests rocked the president's administration, which took office in February, and Lee's approval ratings plummeted.

Monks and other Buddhist officials have called on the government to take steps to end what they say is religious discrimination.

Lee "should fire the head of the national police agency to show his sincerity" toward religious neutrality, said Park Jeong-kyu, a spokesman for one of the Buddhist groups that organized Wednesday's rally.

Park also called for legislation banning religious discrimination.

Buddhism is the oldest major religion in Korea, though Christianity has grown dramatically, especially during the 20th century. According to government figures, Buddhists made up 22.8 percent of the population in 2005, while Christians accounted for 29.2 percent.

In early July, Prime Minister Han Seung-soo, a Catholic, instructed all ministries not to give the mistaken impression that the government favors a specific religion, according to his office.

Han also visited the Jogye temple and expressed regret over alleged discrimination.

I've always thought that buddhists were very peaceful people. I have noticed though, in the past few months that a lot of buddhists are beginning to get a bit rowdy.

Happy Meal profits fund homosexual strategies
McDonald's boycott organizer cites conference to promote 'gays'
Posted: September 04, 2008

© 2008 WorldNetDaily

The profits from families who buy Happy Meals for their children have been used to pay for 56 McDonald's staff members to meet in San Diego to strategize about promoting homosexuality within the company, according to the organizer of a boycott of the fast-food chain.

The American Family Association recently launched a boycott campaign against the company for its anti-family agenda as well as the public condemnation by a McDonald's official of traditional family supporters as being motivatd by "hate."

The AFA's petition to the company seeking a change of policy and other outreaches have been assembled at the website BoycottMcDonalds.com.

The site condemns the company's decision to pay $20,000 to become a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and have an executive on the organization's board of directors.

The AFA said it learned McDonald's also has funded a seminar to train homosexuals in promoting their agenda, and now has confirmed the company paid to send 56 employees to San Diego for a "Pioneer Summit."

"The purpose of the meeting was to develop a plan to promote the gay agenda within the company," according to a statement from American Family Association. "Those attending were thrilled that McDonald's showed such support for their agenda."

The AFA cited a comment from Brian Unger, a senior vice president, "It was truly inspiring to see McDonald's Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender members come together to share heartfelt, personal stories about their journeys, challenges and personal reflections. Better understanding these journeys … will help us better grow our people in the restaurants and across the company."

American Family Association had asked McDonald's simply to remain neutral in the culture battle in which advocates for homosexuality repeatedly have attacked those pursuing traditional family values.

The response was less than satisfying, AFA reported.

"A McDonald's official (Bill Whitman) went so far as to say that those who oppose the gay agenda are motivated by hate," the group said.

According to a published report from Bob Witeck, co-founder of a communications company who is described as an expert of homosexual issues, the San Diego event was a huge success.

It featured "fully paid travel and accommodations for the first-ever conference" that brought in 56 "LGBT and allied employees" so they could "talk, to learn, and to celebrate one another."

Witech reported the conference provided McDonald's with a mandate "to discover how to make internal education a reality throughout the corporation, how to properly add gender identity and expression to the company's non-discrimination policies and how to handle transitions among their workforce."

The report indicated McDonald's now should push forward with its corporate promotion of homosexuality.

"Champions and allies in the corporate offices include Marcia Vargas, VP of Diversity, and Gus Viano and Kevin Bradley, directors in McDonald’s Corporate Diversity office who are adept at challenging long-held beliefs that a company as deeply embedded in the American consciousness as McDonald’s must tread lightly into this aspect of workforce and workplace diversity," the report said.

WND also has reported on AFA's documentation of McDonald's sponsorship of a homosexual festival featuring public nudity for both men and women.

The AFA revealed McDonald's sponsorship of the 2008 San Francisco "Gay" Pride parade with a television commercial. The ad originally was posted on YouTube by a McDonald's employee, the group said. "After AFA exposed it, it was removed by the McDonald's employee," the AFA said.

"McDonald's says they 'stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment,'" the AFA said. However, "Here is what they won't tell you. McDonald's helped sponsor the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade."

Whitman made his comment about "hate" to the Washington Post.

However, it is McDonald's officials who are at fault, said a spokesman for a family of mutual funds whose managers refused to invest in the company. McDonald's officials, in fact are "neglecting" their "fiduciary" duty to stockholders by their pursuit of homosexual activism, the spokesman said.

"It continues to amaze me that corporations, like McDonald's, continue to publicly and financially support things that alienate their consumer base," said Arthur Ally, the president of the Timothy Plan family of mutual funds.

The company refuses to invest with McDonald's.

"Shareholders as well as customers should be outraged at the blatant position this company has taken on this issue. McDonald's corporation has a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to continue to earn profits and expand their company. By alienating such a large consumer base, the Christian community, they are undoubtedly neglecting this responsibility," he said.

On the AFA's comment forum for boycott participants, thousands of families have promised to stop making purchases at the stores.

"America is tired of corporations and organizations twisting the free speech and actions of its citizens into 'hatred' when we simply oppose the corporation's, or organization's, involvement in areas where we don't want our money going," wrote one participant. "Don't expect any more of my money."

"McDonald's is a thing of the past for me," said another.

"We love your fries, but we will not compromise truth. You have taken money that our family, and millions of others, have contributed to the success of the McDonald's Corp. and chosen to use it for an agenda that defies the foundation of our nation, the family, as created by a man and woman," said a third.

"I will take [my] 10 great grand children to Wendy's, Burger King or some other place. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN!" said one.

"Yes Wendy's, I will have a Frosty with that," said another.

"Consider my family's patronage 'McGone,'" said one.

AFA Chairman Don Wildmon said, "It's a shame that McDonald's would tarnish their family-friendly image. But the company has ramped up its support of the gay agenda and it leaves us no option but to call for a boycott."

Church damaged in shooting spree

By Lori Kurtzman
lkurtzman@enquirer.com

Bullet holes were everywhere. The front door was blown out. Shattered glass littered the ground.

When Bishop Bobby Hilton arrived at his church early this morning he was stunned. “I was just absolutely shocked at what I saw,” he said.

Police called Hilton to the Word of Deliverance church in the 11000 block of Southland Road after they say a man unloaded round after round into the Forest Park building early this morning.

Police told Hilton the man fired at least 36 shots. Bullets even reached the sanctuary.

Damage is estimated at $75,000.

Jerry Rains, 29, was arrested just after 1 a.m. on charges he fired a 9 mm handgun from his vehicle into the church, which has been on Southland road for 12 years.

Rains was charged with desecration, carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to court records. He’s due in court for arraignment Thursday.

Hilton said word of the shooting was slowly leaking out to the church’s 2,000 members.

Staff started to clean up the mess today, but questions remain about why the church was targeted.

“I have no idea who this guy is,” Hilton said. “We have no idea what this could be about.”

Police offered some clues, Hilton said.

One officer told him that their suspect said he didn’t believe in Jesus, Hilton said, and was “tired of hearing about your Jesus.” Cry

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This attack sounds almost Satanic. Satan knows the end is near and is stepping up his attacks. On another thought though......... Wouldn't it be something if while he was in prison he repented and accepted Jesus later on? Wouldn't that be a great testimony?
Spain moves to amend strict abortion law
By DANIEL WOOLLS, Associated Press Writer Thu Sep 4, 12:21 PM ET
MADRID, Spain - Spain has taken a first step toward amending its restrictive law on abortion, a government minister said Thursday, moving to fill one of the last big gaps in a drive for sweeping social change in this traditionally Roman Catholic country.
A panel of 13 lawyers, doctors and other experts has been appointed to come up with recommendations for the Socialist government on how to amend the current law, Equality Minister Bibiana Aido told reporters.
She said she expects a bill to be presented to Parliament in the first six months of 2009, but could not specify if it would provide for abortion on demand up to 12 to 14 weeks into a pregnancy, as demanded by pro-choice campaigners.
The current law, which dates from 1985, allows abortion in the first 12 weeks in case of rape, 22 weeks in case of fetal malformation, and at any time if a psychiatrist certifies that the mother's physical or mental health is endangered.
The vast majority of the roughly 100,000 abortions carried out in Spain each year fall into the latter category, according to the Association of Accredited Abortion Clinics. Abortion foes call it a loophole that is grossly abused.
Aido said the current law has to be changed because Spain's 17 semiautonomous regions, which administer their own health care systems, apply the legislation unevenly, with women in some areas having trouble getting the procedure performed or obtaining government financing to which they are entitled.
"This cannot be," Aido said.
When Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero came to power in 2004, he embarked on an ambitious program of social change that eventually saw Spain legalize gay marriage and enact fast-track divorce proceedings. Along the way, he infuriated the church and the conservative opposition.
In the campaign leading up to the 2004 election, Zapatero had promised abortion on demand but after taking power he eventually dropped the issue.
United Left, a small party in Parliament, has said the Socialist Party told lawmakers it had already angered too many people by engaging in peace talks with armed Basque separatists and granting more autonomy to the Catalonia region and did not want to pick another fight.
Zapatero won re-election in March of this year and has been saying ever since that abortion reform would once again be a priority.
During the campaign, however, his Socialists steered way clear of the issue, as did the conservative Popular Party. So sensitive is the issue politically that both were wary of spooking centrist voters.
In January, about 40 abortion clinics went on strike for five days to protest what they called police harassment in raids targeting facilities that were allegedly carrying out illegal abortions.
Some of the clinics targeted were in Madrid, and they blamed the campaign here on conservatives who run the regional government.
Ex-priest in Australia faces 93 child sex charges
Thu Sep 4, 12:23 AM ET
SYDNEY (Reuters) - A former priest has been charged with 93 child sex offences stemming from an alleged paedophile ring at a Catholic boy's school, police said on Wednesday.
The 65-year-old was arrested and charged with the offences police allege took place from late 1970s to the early 1980s, according to a statement issued by the New South Wales police.
Police suspect dozens of boys may have been abused during alleged hypnotic "prayer" sessions at St Stanislaus College, located 75 kilometers (45 miles) west of Sydney, according to local media reports.
The former priest, who was not named in the statement, was charged in May with 33 offences stemming from evidence of alleged victims, and a further 60 offences on Wednesday relating to at least 13 alleged victims, police said.
He was released on bail on Tuesday and is due to appear in court on September 15.
St. Stanislaus' principal John Edwards last week told local media he first became aware of the allegations "several years ago" and referred the claims to police.
The allegations reportedly included claims of late night prayer and chanting sessions in which boys were sexually abused.
A total of 615 boys attend St Stanislaus' and 188 live on the campus as borders.
The priest is the fourth person arrested by the Strike Force Belle police unit, which is investigating a number of sexual assault offences that allegedly occurred at one Catholic and one Anglican secondary school in the town of Bathurst in the 1970s, according to the police statement.
"We are currently sifting through a significant amount of information and as a result we have broadened this investigation," Detective Superintendent Michael Goodwin said in the statement.
"Inquiries are continuing and we cannot rule out further arrests," he said.
The allegations came to light five weeks after Pope Benedict apologized for sexual abuse in the Church during a visit to Sydney.
Sexual abuse by Catholic clergy shadowed the pope's week-long visit to Sydney in July, with emotional pleas by victims and their families for the pope to ensure that the Church deals openly with the issue.
Thousands cheer Ethiopian obelisk restoration
Thu Sep 4, 2:11 PM ET
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Thousands of Ethiopians on Thursday cheered the long-awaited restoration of the 1,700-year-old Axum obelisk to its original site in the country's north.
With great pomp, the obelisk was unveiled in the northern city of Axum. The obelisk, an 80-foot high piece of carved granite, was transported from Italy in three separate pieces.
The project took three years of work by Italian engineers and cost an estimated $10 million.
Italy took the funeral stone, or stele, in 1937 on the orders of fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. Italy, which occupied Ethiopia from 1936-1941, returned the obelisk in 2005, after demands by Ethiopia's government.
The obelisk is considered a symbol of African civilization and is a remnant of the ancient kingdom of Axum, which ruled the region from about 400 B.C. into the 10th century.
O PASTOR IN SEX SCANDAL
REV. WRIGHT DONE ME WRONG: CHURCH LADY
New York Post
September 9, 2008
He almost wrecked Barack Obama's presidential dreams, and now firebrand pastor Jeremiah Wright has helped destroy a Dallas church worker's marriage - and her job, The Post has learned.
Elizabeth Payne, 37, said she had a steamy sexual affair with the controversial, racially divisive man of the cloth while she was an executive assistant at a church headed by a popular Wright protégé.
When word of the unholy alliance got out, Payne's husband dumped her, and she was canned from the plum job at Friendship-West Baptist Church, she told The Post.
"I was involved with Rev. Wright, and that's why I lost my job and why my husband divorced me," Payne said.
She refused to reveal when the adulterous affair started or how she met Wright.
But fellow churchgoers at Friendship-West "found out about the affair in the spring," Payne said.
At the time, she was secretary to the Rev. Frederick Haynes III, a longtime Wright disciple.
In April, Payne organized a series of Texas public appearances by Wright, 67. Weeks before, Obama had disavowed his preacher of 20 years after Wright's anti-government rants came to light.
"Liz was by Rev. Wright's side day and night during those days," a church source said.
"It's all true," said Payne, adding that she has filed a wrongful-dismissal claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to get her job back.
In an ironic twist, Wright last night spoke at an East Orange, NJ, church revival on the subject of "unexpected problems."
"There's no such thing as a problem-free relationship," he told a packed Elmwood United Presbyterian Church. "In life, you'll have unexpected problems."
He punctuated his 45-minute sermon with evocative 1960s hits, including the Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go," Frankie Beverley's "Joy and Pain," and the Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg." He's set to speak there again tonight.
Payne's husband, Fred Payne, 64, said he learned of the affair in late February, when he discovered e-mails between his wife and Wright.
"There must have been about 80 of them, back and forth," he said. "Wright said things like he was going to leave his wife for Elizabeth."
Wright has been married to his second wife, Ramah, for more than 20 years.
The preacher reportedly wooed Ramah away from her first husband in the 1980s, when the couple came to marriage counseling at Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
After discovering he had been cuckolded, Fred Payne, who had married Elizabeth in October 2006, headed straight for divorce court.
"I was downright mad about this bull- - - -," said Fred, who said he is "in the oil and gas business," belongs to a hunting club and makes his own bullets in his garage.
"People wouldn't be happy to know that my wife was sleeping with a black man."
He added, "Rev. Haynes doesn't like the interracial thing, either. This was quite an issue for him."
Elizabeth Payne said she has been banished by Haynes and the flock at Friendship-West.
"I'm not a member of the congregation anymore; I'm not even allowed on the premises," she said.
Wright became an embarrassment for Obama after videos of the preacher's old sermons emerged.
In them, Wright blamed the United States for the 9/11 attacks and boomed, "God damn America!"
Record 259 corporations honored for 'gay' support
Foundation lauds businesses toeing line of social campaign
Longtime logo from Campbell's soups. The company has been a perfect score from an organization advocacy homosexual "rights"
The newly released Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index, which ranks hundreds of businesses on their "treatment" of employees who have chosen homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender lifestyles, awards a record 259 corporations perfect scores, including newcomers Campbell's Soup and Target.
The total in the 2009 report is up one-third from the 195 corporations so honored in 2008, according to the Human Rights Campaign, which explained that now an estimated nine million workers "are protected from employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression because of their employers' policies on diversity & inclusion, training, health care, and domestic partnership benefits."
The report notes that when the evaluation was begun in 2002, there were 13 corporations with such perfect scores – a total of 100 out of 100 possible – and that rose to 26 in 2003, 56 in 2004, 101 in 2005, 138 in 2006 and 195 in 2008.
The 2009 index "shows that corporate America understands that a diverse workforce is critical to remaining successful and competitive," Joe Solmonese, the foundation chief, said in a prepared statement posted on the organization's website. "In the absence of federal law that prohibits workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, it is up to employers to take the lead and implement policies that ensure all their employees are protected."
Target's target logo. The company is among 259 given a perfect score for its advocacy for homosexual "rights"
Officials from companies honored in the ranking of nearly 600 companies overall were enthusiastic.
"We are thrilled to share this with our LGBT employees and the loyal customers and diverse communities we serve," said Denise Lynn, an American Airlines vice president.
"Our 100 percent score on the HRC Corporate Equality Index gives us all a shot in the arm and explains why I love the job I do," added Betty Young, an LGBT marketing team member for the airline.
"Barnes & Noble was one of the first retailers to offer domestic partner benefits to our booksellers more than 13 years ago," boasted Michelle Smith, a vice president for her company.
"We are extremely proud to accept this distinction in recognition of Chevron's diversity and inclusion efforts, and the outstanding contributions our GLBT employees and the Chevron Pride Employee Network have made to the company," said spokesman Joe Laymon.
"Recognition always pushes Dell to move to the next level and so we'll continue our efforts advocating for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered equality," said Dell vice president Gil Casellas. "It's part of our global diversity efforts."
The rating "affirms our position that ING has created a welcoming environment," said ING North American Insurance Corp. chief Tom McInerney.
Wilson Dunnington, director of inclusion for J.C. Penney, said the company's perfect score recognizes the company's "inclusive and diverse environment."
"We believe it is a true honor to receive a perfect ranking on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index for the second year in a row," said David Windley, head of the company's human resources.
"Shell is pleased to have achieved a perfect score on the CEI-rating. This was a priority for us because it further demonstrates our commitment to inclusiveness in the workplace," said Marvin Odum, president of Shell Oil Company. "A 100-percent rating helps us to better attract, recruit and retain diverse talent to contribute to our overall business success."
"Often we are singled out for discrimination and, very often, job termination, solely because of our gender change or gender expression regardless of work history. The significant increase in companies achieving 100 percent on the CEI shows that the business-employee climate is improving, but we know there is still significant progress to be made," said Meghan Stabler, a member of the HRC's business council.
The report also reveals that more than four dozen companies "have taken significant and substantial steps to remove discrimination from at least one of their health insurance plans."
The organization said its other major findings are the of 255 Fortune 500 corporations included, 120 got perfect scores, and the biggest leap for this year was among law firms, which were included in the assessment for the first time in 2006. Those rose from 13 in 2006 to 64 for this report.
Brothers and Sisters,
It's a sad commentary in a once great country when SEXUAL PERVERSIONS become a PRIORITY and GOD is mocked, ignored, and rejected at the same time. A time for judgment will come, and that time might be soon. As Christians, our priorities haven't changed, and  our work for the LORD should continue as usual. Some are elated at new strength and acceptance for EVIL. What they don't realize is it will be like a flash in the pan and be trod underfoot soon by an angry GOD. The end of this age is coming, and all GLORY will go to GOD! GOD will crush EVIL and reserve it for the eternal fires of HELL! GOD foretold this, and all will come to pass most perfectly at HIS Appointed time. The time for SALVATION is also growing short.
GOOD NEWS!
1:  Romans 3:10 NASB  as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
2:  Romans 3:23  NASB  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:  Romans 5:12  NASB  Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
4:  Romans 6:23  NASB  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5:  Romans 1:18  NASB  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
6:  Romans 3:20  NASB  because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
7:  Romans 3:27  NASB  Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
8:  Romans 5:8-9  NASB  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
9:  Romans 2:4  NASB  Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
10:  Romans 3:22  NASB  even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
11:  Romans 3:28  NASB  For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
12:  Romans 10:9  NASB  that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
13:  Romans 4:21  NASB  and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
14:  Romans 4:24 NASB  but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
15:  Romans 5:1  NASB  Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
16:  Romans 10:10  NASB  for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
17:  Romans 10:13  NASB  for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT!, JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever!
Church to Charles Darwin: We're sorry we doubted you
Archbishop of Canterbury takes heat for 'ludicrous' apology 150 years later
Some say the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams is making a monkey of himself with a half-baked apology to Charles Darwin for misunderstanding the author of "Origin of the Species" 126 years after his death.
Nevertheless, that's just what the Church of England plans to do today – make an act of contrition to the godfather of evolution.
Officials of the church said senior bishops wanted to atone for the vilification heaped on Darwin by their predecessors.
The church is also eager to counter the view that its teaching is incompatible with science and distance itself from fundamentalist Christians, who believe in the biblical account of the creation.
"Charles Darwin, 200 years from your birth [in 1809], the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still," says the statement. "But the struggle for your reputation is not over yet, and the problem is not just your religious opponents but those who falsely claim you in support of their own interests."
The statement is written by the Rev. Dr. Malcolm Brown, the director of mission and public affairs of the Archbishops' Council, headed by Williams.
"People, and institutions, make mistakes and Christian people and churches are no exception," it continues. "When a big new idea emerges that changes the way people look at the world, it's easy to feel that every old idea, every certainty, is under attack and then to do battle against the new insights. The Church made that mistake with Galileo's astronomy and has since realized its error. Some Church people did it again in the 1860s with Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection. So it is important to think again about Darwin's impact on religious thinking, then and now."
Before the statement was even officially released it was under attack.
Former Conservative Minister Ann Widdecombe, who left the Church of England to become a Roman Catholic,  told the Daily Mail: "It's absolutely ludicrous. Why don't we have the Italians apologising for Pontius Pilate? 'We've already apologized for slavery and for the Crusades. When is it all going to stop? It's insane and makes the Church of England look ridiculous."
Andrew Darwin, a great-great grandson of the eminent scientist, said he was "bemused" by the apology, which seemed "pointless."
"Why bother?" he said. "When an apology is made after 200 years, it's not so much to right a wrong, but to make the person or organization making the apology feel better."
U.K. Mother Murders Daughter Because "Embarrassed" by Disability
By Tim Waggoner
CHESTER, Wales, September 12, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - This week, a UK court heard the case of a mother who allegedly deliberately drowned her disabled child in a bath because she was ashamed and embarrassed by her daughter's cerebral palsy.
According to the Telegraph, prosecutor Michael Chambers explained to the court how Joanne Hill's husband had refused to give four-year old Naomi up for adoption, despite Joanne's inability to accept the fact that her daughter had cerebral palsy. He recounted the evening of the murder, November 26, 2007: "When the bath was full she told Naomi she was having a bath, but Naomi didn't want one. The defendant carried her upstairs and undressed her."
"The defendant put her in the bath and drowned her by holding her head under the water for a long time until she was dead."
According to testimony Joanne then put her daughter's clothes back on and after driving around for eight hours while intoxicated, entered the hospital claiming her daughter was unconscious. She was arrested at the hospital an hour later on suspicion of murder.
"The defendant couldn't cope with caring for Naomi and left a lot of the everyday care to her husband Simon," said Chambers.
A representative of the organization that babysat for Naomi reiterated this point, saying that Joanne was ashamed of Naomi and used to dress her in ways that would hide her disability.
Chambers also told the court that Joanne's claims of mental problems as a reduced responsibility defense have not been "entirely honest", describing how she had admitted to lying to doctors about voices in her head.
"She quite simply wanted Naomi dead," said Chambers.
This trial, which is still in progress, comes during a week in which the devaluation of children with disabilities has been very much in the media spotlight, thanks largely to Gov. Sarah Palin's much publicized decision to carry to term her son Trig, who has Down's syndrome.
Prominent bioethicist Wesley Smith recently commented on the media bias against Palin, and says it occurs in part because, "Palin is viewed as 'the other,' symbolized by her and Todd's (Palin's husband) loving acceptance of Trig." Smith said he hopes that the unconditional love the Palin's show to their son Trig will be an example for a world that is evermore justifying murder of the innocent.
"I hope that people will decide to emulate the Palins in their unconditional acceptance and love for their beautiful son, Trig," said Smith.
However, according to a Globe and Mail report from several days ago, Palin's loving and highly-publicized acceptance of her Down's syndrome child has at least one doctor in Canada worried that her example may pressure some mothers to shun abortion after diagnosis of Down's syndrome. "The worry," said Dr. Andre Lalonde, executive vice-president of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, "is that this [Palin's example] will have an implication for abortion issues in Canada."
Already in Canada and throughout the West, abortion rates for unborn children diagnosed with Down's syndrome range from between 80% to 95%. In addition, prenatal screening for "abnormalities" other than Down's syndrome is becoming an increasingly popular phenomenon, with the result being that those unborn children deemed to be "undesirable" for various reasons are increasingly aborted.
I can't comment on this because I am angry!! I will how ever post this.............
Luke 18:15-17 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Women Drugged, Sexually Assaulted in 'Prayer Sessions'
Friday , September 12, 2008
SYDNEY, Australia —
Two men were arrested Friday and charged with 230 sex offenses police said they committed during prayer sessions with a woman who believed one of the men could cure her of a religious curse.
The men, aged 61 and 38 years, are highly regarded members of Sydney's Greek Orthodox and Coptic Orthodox communities, New South Wales state police said in a statement. Officials declined to release their names.
The 61-year-old man claimed to be a spiritual mentor who could speak to angels, remove curses and banish evil spirits, police said. After telling the 30-year-old woman she had been cursed, he charged her money to remove the evil and then repeatedly assaulted her over a period of four years, police said.
The 61-year-old was charged with 151 sexual offenses, and the 38-year-old charged with 79 sexual offenses, police said.
At a press conference Friday, Fairfield Police Acting Superintendent Gary Bailey declined to discuss details of the alleged assaults.
"I have never seen anything as bizarre as this or as callous as this before," he said.
The woman told authorities she believed she and her family had been cursed by a member of the Greek community and that they would suffer terrible consequences including death and illness unless the curse was removed. Police said she attended numerous prayer sessions with the men at various hotels in Sydney between 2001 and 2005, during which she was blindfolded and sexually assaulted.
Police said she paid the men up to 70,000 Australian dollars (US$56,200) for the sessions.
The two men were arrested in June — along with the 38-year-old's wife — over allegations of sexual assault on another woman, and charged with similar offenses, including sexual assault and extortion, police said. They were released on bail and the two men re-arrested on the new charges Friday.
Bailey said both women had been assaulted by the men at hotels, and both may have been drugged during the attacks. He declined to say how they might have been drugged.
Bailey said police believe the men also assaulted additional women.
"We will allege these women have been the cruel prey of callous individuals who used religious fear to manipulate and abuse them for their sexual gratification and financial gain," Bailey said in an earlier statement. "Sexual offenses are heinous but an offender who hides behind the cloak of religious respectability is particularly vile."
The men were expected to appear in court later Friday.
The Coptic Church is the native Christian church of Egypt, and has a doctrine similar to the Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox churches.
Bailey said both women come from religious families and were raised to follow the Orthodox faith, which includes a belief in the evil eye — a glance believed to harm those on whom it falls.
"We believe this was a major reason why they were persuaded into believing they were cursed," Bailey said.
2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
'Muslim Massacre' Video Game Has 'American Hero' Avatars Wipe Out Followers of Islam
September 13, 2008
 A VIDEO game made by an Australian man that encourages players to massacre Muslim people has caused international outrage.
Muslim Massacre is promoted as taking place after the US "declares war" on the religion of Islam and encourages players to wipe out followers.
"The United States of America has declared war on Islam!" the Muslim Massacre website says.
"Take control of the American hero and wipe out the Muslim race with an arsenal of the world's most destructive weapons."
The targets appear as bearded men wearing normal clothes or characters in black outfits with facemasks. Later levels include suicide bombers and a "boss" opponent resembling Osama Bin Laden.
Mr Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the UK Muslim youth organisation the Ramadhan Foundation, said the game was unacceptable, tasteless and deeply offensive.
"When kids spend six hours a day on violent games they are more likely to go outside and commit violence," he said.
"If it was the other way around, with a game featuring Muslims killing Israelis or Americans, there would be uproar and rightly so."
Muslim Massacre was developed by Eric Vaughn, known online as "Sigvatr", a 22-year-old from Brisbane. He first released it online in January this year.
The game begins with audio from George Bush speeches, edited together to sound like a condemnation of Muslims.
The graphics are similar to 1990s arcade shooter games, with a bird's eye view showing the protagonist, a tiny pixelated US soldier, running and shooting other characters.
Mr Vaughn's website links to other projects such as a fictional sporting league for real-life massacre shooters and a webcomic.
Muslim Massacre bears a resemblance to two other independently-developed "shock" games released online: V-Tech Rampage (2007), which recreated the Virgina Tech shootings and Super Columbine Massacre RPG! (2005), which was a recreation of the 1999 Columbine High School shootings.
Those who have played Muslim Massacre provided mixed feedback to Mr Vaughn.
"I think it’s brave, because it’s the kind of satire that many people will misunderstand, especially in America and in Islamic countries," said a comment posted on Mr Vaughn's website.
"Still, you can’t be misunderstood any worse than the ‘super columbine massacre’ guy."
The Ramadhan Foundation has asked the British Government to conduct an inquiry into the game and urged internet service providers to block access to it.
