Muslims Urinated Next to Torah Scrolls at Cave of Patriarchs
September 15, '08
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu
(IsraelNN.com) Muslims converged on the Cave of Patriarchs in Hevron Friday for Ramadan prayers, urinated next to Torah scrolls and left behind Hamas flags.
The Cave of the Patriarchs is the tomb of the biblical founders of the Jewish faith, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their wives, Sarah, Rivka, and Leah.
The desecration occurred on one of the 10 days during the year that the holy site is open only to Muslims and is closed to Jews. The same arrangement also is accorded to Jews on 10 holy Jewish days.
Uri Karzen, a Hevron resident, reported that a Kohen, who recites the priestly blessings during the Sabbath morning service, told him he smelled urine next to the Holy Ark containing Torah scrolls. Karzen and other worshippers moved the table, where the Torah scrolls are placed during the reciting of the portion of the week, in order to avoid the foul smell.
The Hamas flags were discovered in the windows that mark the burial sites of Abraham and Isaac and the matriarchs, Sarah, Rivka and Leah.
Hevron resident Asher Horowitz explained that he and others spotted the flags when they were returning holy books, which had been taken into safe storage before the prohibition from Jews entering the Cave of the Patriarchs went into effect. He used a stick to pull one of the flags from the marker of the burial site of Avraham and friends told him they found flags at other markers.
Ever since Muslims destroyed Torah scrolls in the Cave of the Patriarchs in the 1980s, Jews always remove holy books and lock the Holy Ark when they are prohibited from entering.
Noam Arnon, spokesman for the Jewish community in Hevron, said there is always some sort of damage discovered upon their return every time Jews are prohibited from entering the holy site.
"It is not all the Muslims," he said. "But there always are a few who in the past have ripped mezuzot off the entrances to the rooms of worship or simply leave behind vandalism. Complaints have been filed with the police in the past, but no one ever has been arrested."
He added that two policemen are always on guard when Jews pray, especially when Arabs are prohibited from entering, but there are no policemen present when Jews are excluded.
Surveillance cameras are mounted, but Karzen said the place where urine was smelled may have been out of range of the cameras. The cameras should have caught on film the placement of Hamas flags, according to Horowitz.
Hevron police said they know nothing about the incidents and that an official complaint may not have been filed yet out of respect for the Sabbath.

Now, if Jew's or Christians, did that to their almighty koran, there would be a
WORLD WAR
!!
I remember when they took over the Bethlehem church a few years ago they did something similar. Using books there as toilet paper, defacing inside the church etc. They demand respect but are not willing to give any.
I know, I know, might end up on their hit list for saying something as innocent as this!!
Genesis 16:10-12
And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
11
And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
His descendants have certainly, made that Prophecy clearer.

University opens women's dorms to men
'I don't think they've thought through the ramifications'
The University of Pittsburgh has announced plans to apply a new gender identity anti-discrimination plan to its housing facilities, raising eyebrows and prompting a family advocacy organization to lodge a protest with school officials.
Officials with the American Family Association of Pennsylvania told WND they had sent protest faxes to Chancellor Mark Nordenberg and Provost James Maher about the new school practice, which appears to open up women's dorms to those who are physically male but say they are female, and vice versa.
"Student safety should be utmost in the minds of the University of Pittsburgh and other schools," said Diane Gramley, president of the organization. "The addition of 'gender identity' to their policies is anti-safety. This policy change opens the door for sexual assault of female students and lawsuits from concerned parents and students."
She said the fax to Nordenberg and Maher said, in part, "Since this policy also affects housing, what is to prevent a male who says he believes he's 'really a female' from requesting and obtaining housing in the women's dormitory? This policy indicates that will be acceptable and, additionally, this 'man who thinks he is a woman' will be permitted to show and use the restroom in the women's dormitory."
University officials declined comment to WND on the issue, and Gramley said she had not gotten a response to her inquiry to the school.
"Increasingly we see schools such as the University of Pittsburgh become agents of social change. This attempt to validate the lifestyle of the gender confused places their other students at risk. Why can't the institutions of higher education stay within their academic goals and not seek to be agents of political correctness?" she asked.
The announcement about the university's efforts to broaden its anti-discrimination policies appeared in a report by the Associated Press, which quoted a university spokesman saying the new policy will apply to university housing assignments.
The report also quoted a vice president for the school's Rainbow Alliance, an advocacy organization for homosexual students and others with alternative lifestyles.
Rainbow Alliance vice president Kelly Cobern told the reporters the policy is intended to benefit those whose wardrobe or appearance "isn't what most people would expect of their sex."
The school's website diversity page boasts, "Within the Department of Residence Life at the University of Pittsburgh, we acknowledge that human difference takes many forms in the world including factors such as: race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religion, spiritual tradition, political affiliation, age, and ability. We recognize that the knowledge we gain from interacting with and learning from one another has both educational and personal value. This knowledge will move our students and staff toward acceptance of others."
However, such "acceptance" does have limits, the school confirmed, for the next statement on its website said:
We will not tolerate any form of behavior pertaining to racism, sexism, bigotry, harassment, intimidation, threat, or abuse, whether verbal or written, physical or psychological, direct or implied."
Regarding its goals for students' residential life experiences, the school said, "Resident Life is committed to providing you with a safe, comfortable, diverse, student centered living environment that promotes personal and academic success."
"If I had a student at the University of Pittsburgh or any of the satellite campuses, I would be very concerned," Gramley told WND. "This could allow a man to room with young ladies, use a women's restroom. It boggles the mind why a university would think that's okay."
"How could a responsible citizen believe that maintaining the highest quality of life means allowing men who think they are women to live in the women's dormitory, use the women's restroom and shower with female students? How will this provide a safe and comfortable living environment?" the organization asked.
"The AFA of PA is urging the University of Pittsburgh to remove 'gender identity' from its policy and provide a safe living environment for their female students," Gramley said.
WND previously has reported on the extended battle in Montgomery County, Md., where a similar gender identity anti-discrimination plan was adopted by the government council.
Members of the community organized the Maryland Citizens for a Responsible Government to challenged the law through referendum, only to have the state's highest court change the number of petition signatures required for the referendum after the fact.

The devil is busy and working overtime! One would think that officials would be smart enough to consider safety issues for the students, but they obviously didn't! This isn't just DUMB - it's INSANE!

Brothers and Sisters,
The common sense angles of this are mind-boggling. Let's say that I have a daughter and I'm wanting to send her to college, but I can only afford college dorms. Would I send my daughter to a college that openly advertised for PERVERTS AND DEVIANTS to come stay in the dorms?
NO! - NOT EVEN IF IT WAS FREE!
It appears that the devil is causing people to lose their minds and all common sense. AND, these people are actually tasked with running a university? These university officials are in need of adult supervision and have no business being in charge of anything, much less a university! I must add that the legislature of Colorado tried to do this same thing first, so maybe there is a "dumbing-down" type of virus going around. If so, the victims probably had limited common sense to begin with.

Anglican church mocks Biblical Creationism with apology to Charles Darwin
World Net Daily
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A senior cleric of the Church of England wants his church to apologize to Charles Darwin in time for the observance of the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth next year. The Rev. Dr. Malcolm Brown, Director of Mission and Public Affairs for the church, made his case in an article entitled, "Good Religion Needs Good Science," published in a special new section of the Church of England's official Web site.
"Charles Darwin: 200 years from your birth, the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still," Brown wrote. "We try to practice the old virtues of 'faith seeking understanding' and hope that makes some amends."
Apologize to Charles Darwin? The Church of England may well need to apologize, but not to Charles Darwin. If anything, the church needs to apologize for its rightful embarrassment in considering an apology to Darwin. But, it seems, this church is not embarrassed.
Dr. Brown apparently is a big believer in Darwin's theory of natural selection. "Subsequent generations have built on Darwin’s work but have not significantly undermined his fundamental theory of natural selection," he insists. "There is nothing here that contradicts Christian teaching."
Well, Charles Darwin sure thought that the theory of natural selection contradicted Christian teaching. But, then again, he may have had a better understanding of Christian teaching than Dr. Brown.
To the end of his life, Darwin identified himself as a "nominal" Anglican, but by that time he had long abandoned theism and any belief in a personal God. The relationship between Darwin's changing religious beliefs and his developing scientific theory can be read either of two ways, and even Darwin appeared to have been unclear in his own mind how the two were related. The two options are these: Either Darwin's theory of natural selection undermined his belief in a personal God who directed creation, or his abandonment of his belief in a personal God as the agent of creation led to his development of the theory of natural selection. Either way, Darwin himself was clear that the belief that God is Creator and the belief that life is evidence of natural selection are incompatible beliefs.
Darwin differed, for example, with the American botanist Asa Gray over just this question. Gray allowed for God as the agent of design, working through what appeared to be natural selection - a form of what is often called "theistic evolution." But Darwin would have none of that, and he rejected any role for a divine Designer.
As Peter J. Bowler explains in Charles Darwin: The Man and His Influence (Cambridge University Press), "The one thing Darwin could not admit was that God somehow played an active role in controlling the direction of evolution."
Dr. Brown argues that Darwin was misunderstood. In his words: "Darwin’s meticulous application of the principles of evidence-based research was not the problem. His theory caused offense because it challenged the view that God had created human beings as an entirely different kind of creation to the rest of the animal world."
No, his theory caused offense because it challenged the view that God had anything to do with the creation of any species at all. Dr. Brown's version of Darwinism simply isn't compatible with what Darwin actually believed.
Dr. Brown wants to make the apology to Darwin because he is embarrassed that some in his church rejected Darwin's theories. This, Brown suggests, was due to the fact that the church is often fearful of new ideas. "When a big new idea emerges which changes the way people look at the world, it's easy to feel that every old idea, every certainty, is under attack and then do battle against the new insights."
That kind of facile thinking is all too evident in today's doctrinally disarmed church. Here a senior cleric attempts to do public relations by offering a posthumous apology to Charles Darwin, while dismissing any theological concern about his theory and instead insisting that nothing in Darwinism contradicts Christian teaching.
Charles Darwin abandoned belief in God, and he himself traced this loss of faith to his theory of natural selection. He believed that his own doctrine of evolution was a direct contradiction to theism in general and to Christianity in particular.
Darwin argued that belief in miracles was insane and that the Christian doctrine of hell is immoral. In his Autobiography he wrote, "I can hardly see how anyone ought to wish Christianity to be true; for if so, the plain language of the text seems to show that the men who do not believe, and this would include my father, brother and almost all my best friends, will be everlastingly punished. And this is a damnable doctrine."
There are several points to observe here. First, Darwin clearly expressed confidence that Christianity is not true, and that we should be thankful for this fact. Second, Darwin, unlike some modern reformers of hell, understood that "the plain language of the text," that is, the Bible, points to hell as everlasting punishment. Third, Darwin simply would not believe in a God who would send his relatives and friends to hell - period.
But, by the time Darwin wrote his Autobiography, he had already abandoned belief in any personal deity. As Janet Browne of the British Society for the History of Science and University College, London, explains: "Living out for himself the archetypal Victorian crisis of faith, Darwin perhaps recognized that he had lost the last vestiges of faith when he discovered that biology provided him with the answers he most desired. In the end, in his autobiography, he asserted that religious belief was little more than inherited instinct, akin to a monkey's fear of a snake."
In other words, Charles Darwin was, as he suggested, the original "Devil's Chaplain." In this role he made the same basic arguments now offered by Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, and other "New Atheists." Does Dr. Malcolm Brown intend to apologize to these atheists, too?
An official with the Church of England rushed to clarify in the press that Dr. Brown was not offering an official apology on behalf of the church. The Telegraph [London] reported that a member of the Darwin family dismissed the apology as "pointless." Andrew Darwin, a great-great-grandson of Charles Darwin, asked, "Why bother?" He went on to argue that the "apology" was more about making the Church of England "feel better" than to right a wrong.
Well, Dr. Brown's apology, offered on the official Web site of the Church of England, and in his role as Director of Mission and Public Affairs, may be "pointless," but it certainly makes a point about the Church of England. As a matter of fact, it might go a long way toward explaining how a church that once formed the backbone of British life now holds the attention of less than five percent of British citizens on any given Sunday.

Dr. Brown and everyone else has a choice of believing either Charles Darwin or GOD! It really is just this simple. GOD told us about HIS Creation in Genesis, so that's the END OF THE STORY for people who believe GOD. For people who believe Darwin, the Holy Bible isn't much use to them. In fact, they would be better off not even mentioning GOD in connection with Darwin because they are calling GOD a liar.
IT'S NOT SMART TO CALL GOD A LIAR - EVEN IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD!
There is NO way that both can be true, so it would be better for people like Dr. Brown to call himself an atheist.

Thought this would be a good place for this weeks update from Bill Koenig:
Connecting the Dots - Ancient prophecy gives warning and hope to nation that presents man's precepts as God's
by Bill Wilson, KIN Senior Analyst
An ancient prophecy of Isaiah appears to be a type and shadow of today's America that gives both warning to those who do not follow and hope to the remnant that stays faithful
. Writing more than 2,700 years ago, the prophet Isaiah used the example of Ariel, another name for Jerusalem, to identify the cause and effect of a nation adopting man's version of righteousness and wisdom and presenting it as it it were God's.
The prophecy describes the actions of a nation, nearly identical to that of the United States where emergent church and political leaders have twisted the Word of God and are teaching the doctrines of man as if they were God's.
Isaiah 29:10-13 (NKJV) says that, 'the leaders have entered a deep spiritual sleep, and the Lord "has closed your eyes; the prophets and your rulers the seers has He covered...And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying 'Read this I pray thee;' and he says, 'I cannot, for it is sealed;' and the book is delivered to him that is not learnded, saying, 'Read this i pray thee,' and he says 'I am not learned.' Wherefore the Lord said, 'For as much as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men
.'
As politicians use the word of God to justify killing the preborn and give special rights to homosexuals - and the people are going along with it - these are times where God's Word appears sealed.
And when highly touted
church leaders
are preaching a watered down gospel where there is
no sin
and
God's commandments are mixed
with other religions
to find common ground for the common good,
God's Word is sealed for those who seek to promote their own concepts as
God's
.
The Lord says in Isaiah 29:3, "And
I will camp against thee
around about, and
will lay seige
against thee with a mount, and i will
raise forts
against thee
." Is this not what has happened to America?
Islam has laid seige to our children and our finances. Russia and it's allies are raising forts against us. Our enemies are camped around us
.
But the
Lord promises the faithful
, "Therefore, behold, I will procede to
do a marvelous work among this people
...for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid...And
in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of
the blind shall see out of obscurity
, and out of darkness...They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine."
Ephesians 6:19 tells us how to be instruments of God in this day, "That I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel."

Hello Sister Barbara and All,
The entire world is a needy mission field, including our part of the world. In fact, the entire world is an evil mess that's getting worse by the day. There's a mountain of work for every Christian willing to yield themselves to GOD for HIS use.
The evil and the saved will be dealt with according to the Promises of GOD. Israel will be dealt with separately, again according to the Promises of GOD. Because of this, it's important to note that Isaiah 29 is specifically talking about Jerusalem - not America or any other place in the world. I'm only mentioning this because no other place in the world should be confused with Israel. The author hints that connecting the dots could lead to America, but the specific location of Isaiah 29 is Jerusalem.
Isaiah 29:1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
An interesting study and comparison can be made with verse one. "Ariel" has two meanings that contrast perfectly in Bible Prophecy: 1) Lion of GOD; 2) altar hearth. The contrast regards the once privileged people of GOD who go through meaningless religious motions and rituals that do not honor GOD. Jerusalem was once the "Lion of GOD", but now it is a "flaming altar hearth", and its people are the sacrificial victims.
It should be noted that Israel has the history of burnt offerings, sacrifices, and the Temple. Israel will be dealt with separately and specifically by GOD, and that is the specific subject matter of Isaiah 29. Trying to connect this portion of Scripture with another entity, especially Christians, would cause considerable confusion.
If we were to switch the subject matter to what America deserves, that would not be a pleasant topic. America deserves judgment and destruction - certainly NOT the blessings of GOD. The time is coming soon when the entire world will get what it deserves from GOD.
GOD will pour out HIS RIGHTEOUS WRATH on evil!
Love In Christ,
Tom

I definately see what you mean, blackeyedpeas! Thank you for bringing more clarity and correction on that subject! Very interesting!
I guess it was just too irresistable for Bill Wilson to see the comparison with what's going on in our own country and wondering what will be our fate. You're right, it isn't a pleasant topic. Our once beloved country has changed so drastically and it's heartbreaking to see things falling apart and away from it's once Christian foundation!

Hello Sister Barbara,
It actually gets more unpleasant. Israel will be rescued by GOD HIMSELF and restored. America won't be. The Bible doesn't say what the future of America will be. One could make some assumptions that America makes little or no difference in the Last Days Bible Prophecy. It isn't mentioned at all, so most would assume it's destroyed or otherwise insignificant. I know this is hard for most Americans to swallow because of current vanity in the world, but America will either cease to exist or be insignificant. If we look around us, we could see many ways that America could easily be humbled into insignificance.
As Christians, this world isn't our HOME, and we also have Promises from GOD. For Christians, our Citizenship is in Heaven regardless of where we currently reside, and GOD has Promised to rescue us from the WRATH to come.
Love In Christ,
Tom
