Hello Dreamweaver,

Brother Bob, that's definitely an impressive list for such a short period of time, and we know this is only a partial list. Thanks Brother!

Great hosts of the lost don't have a clue, and they're going about their temporary pleasures as usual. It isn't even recognized that great peril and deadly diseases are more and more commonly associated with those temporary pleasures. BUT, this doesn't make any difference either. The incredible evil of mankind is common and out in the open now. There doesn't appear to be any limits for mankind's depravity.

YES - it does appear that the end days of this Age of Grace are near. OR, they might be here. Regardless, I would think that the patience of ALMIGHTY GOD with evil mankind is growing short. Mankind is more deserving of HIS RIGHTEOUS WRATH by the day, and that time will come at HIS Appointed Time.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ezekiel 7:25-27 NASB
'When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there will be none. 'Disaster will come upon disaster and rumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a vision from a prophet, but the law will be lost from the priest and counsel from the elders. 'The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with horror, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. According to their conduct I will deal with them, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the LORD.'"

AMEN!
Good Job Brother...
I think the Greatest Sign for me is,
Isreal becoming a self ruled nation again after 2500 yrs.(not under Gentile Rulers)
The times of ANY Gentile rule over Isreal, IS OVER... Except for the AntiChrist He will set up his kingdom their
for a short time.
The fact that they are a burdensum stone to that part of the world,
just as the Lord said they would be in the end times...
Your Lovig Brother Duane

Brothers and Sisters,

I'll just say AMEN AND AMEN!

The pieces of a huge and eternal puzzle are falling together. This would be better stated that GOD is placing the pieces of the eternal puzzle together most perfectly. The number of details are vast, but they were known by GOD in eternity past. ONLY HE can put all the pieces together with such precision. The timing will be HIS alone, and the time appears to be near.

This world is getting more evil and out of control by the hour. If someone wonders, GOD is allowing this. The Holy Bible tells us that the time will come when the "Great Restrainer" will be removed and the devil will be free to do what he wants on the earth. Most Christians will know that the "Great Restrainer" is the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. Mankind has desired evil, and mankind will get all they can handle. It will be a time of unimagined horror. Much of mankind has had it with GOOD standing in the way of evil, and they will finally get their wish.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the times for us might grow very difficult quickly. We must remember that this world IS NOT our home. Our Citizenship is in Heaven and our hopes aren't of this world. We are Children of THE KING OF KINGS and we await going HOME. Let us all pray that GOD gives us the strength, courage, and guidance to yield to HIS Use until the last moment. Brothers and Sisters, let's finish our course, finish our fight, and complete our race. We do "Love HIS Appearing"!

Love In Christ,
Tom

2 Timothy 4:5-8 NASB
But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Small Asteroids Pose Big New Threat

Charles Q. Choi
Special to SPACE.com
SPACE.com Wed Dec 19, 6:45 AM ET

The infamous Tunguska explosion, which mysteriously leveled an area of Siberian forest nearly the size of Tokyo a century ago, might have been caused by an impacting asteroid far smaller than previously thought.

The fact that a relatively small asteroid could still cause such a massive explosion suggests "we should be making more efforts at detecting the smaller ones than we have till now," said researcher Mark Boslough, a physicist at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, N.M.

The explosion near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River on June 30, 1908, flattened some 500,000 acres (2,000 square kilometers) of Siberian forest. Scientists calculated the Tunguska explosion could have been roughly as strong as 10 to 20 megatons of TNT 1,000 times more powerful than the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Wild theories have been bandied about for a century regarding what caused the Tunguska explosion, including a UFO crash, antimatter, a black hole and famed inventor Nikola Tesla's "death ray." In the last decade, researchers have conjectured the event was triggered by an asteroid exploding in Earth's atmosphere that was roughly 100 feet wide (30 meters) and 560,000 metric tons in mass more than 10 times that of the Titanic.

The space rock is thought to have blown up above the surface, only fragments possibly striking the ground.

Now new supercomputer simulations suggest "the asteroid that caused the extensive damage was much smaller than we had thought," Boslough said. Specifically, he and his colleagues say it would have been a factor of three or four smaller in mass and perhaps 65 feet (20 meters) in diameter.

The simulations run on Sandia's Red Storm supercomputer the third fastest in the world detail how an asteroid that explodes as it runs into Earth's atmosphere will generate a supersonic jet of expanding superheated gas. This fireball would have caused blast waves that were stronger at the surface than previously thought.

At the same time, previous estimates seem to have overstated the devastation the event caused. The forest back then was not healthy, according to foresters, "and it doesn't take as much energy to blow down a diseased tree than a healthy tree," Boslough said. In addition, the winds from the explosion would naturally get amplified above ridgelines, making the explosion seem more powerful than it actually was. What scientists had thought to be an explosion between 10 and 20 megatons was more likely only three to five megatons, he explained.

All in all, the researchers suggest that smaller asteroids may pose a greater danger than previously believed. Moreover, "there are a lot more objects that size," Boslough told SPACE.com.

NASA Ames Research Center planetary scientist and astrobiologist David Morrison, who did not participate in this study, said, "If he's right, we can expect more Tunguska-sized explosions perhaps every couple of centuries instead of every millennia or two." He added, "It raises the bar in the long term ultimately, we'd like to have a survey system that can detect things this small."

Boslough and his colleagues detailed their findings at the American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco on Dec. 11. A paper on the phenomenon has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of Impact Engineering.

Asteroid Has High Odds of Hitting Mars in Next Month

Friday, December 21, 2007

LOS ANGELES   Mars could be in for an asteroid hit.

A newly discovered hunk of space rock has a 1-in-75 chance of slamming into the Red Planet on Jan. 30, scientists said Thursday.

"These odds are extremely unusual. We frequently work with really long odds when we track ... threatening asteroids," said Steve Chesley, an astronomer with the Near Earth Object Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

The asteroid, known as 2007 WD5, was discovered in late November and is similar in size about 50 yards across to an object that hit remote central Siberia in 1908, unleashing energy equivalent to a 15-megaton nuclear bomb and wiping out 60 million trees.

Scientists tracking the asteroid, currently halfway between Earth and Mars, initially put the odds of impact at 1 in 350 but increased the chances this week.

Scientists expect the odds to diminish again early next month after getting new observations of the asteroid's orbit, Chesley said.

"We know that it's going to fly by Mars and most likely going to miss, but there's a possibility of an impact," he said.

If the asteroid does smash into Mars, it will probably hit near the equator. close to where the rover Opportunity has been exploring the Martian plains since 2004.

The robot is not in danger because it lies outside the impact zone.

Speeding at 8 miles a second, a collision would carve a hole the size of the famed Meteor Crater in Arizona, which is nearly a mile wide and was created by an object roughly 50 yards across 50,000 years ago.

In 1994, fragments of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 smacked into Jupiter, creating a series of overlapping fireballs in space. Astronomers have yet to witness an asteroid impact with another planet.

"Unlike an Earth impact, we're not afraid, but we're excited," Chesley said.

Israel is in the throes of a major religious awakening
December 22, 2007 Tevet 13, 5768

By Anshel Pfeffer

The farewell party in the dining hall of Ashrei Ha'ish Yeshiva, in Jerusalem's Bayit Vegan neighborhood, resembled any other celebration in a place of Torah learning. The rabbis sat at the head of the table, on either side of the excited guest of honor. On the tables were various bottles of cheap wine and the normal kitchen fare: salads, bourekas, hummus and pita bread. One after another, rabbis and students got up to say a few words about the man of the hour: his love of Torah, his devotion to prayer, his secret acts of hesed (charity) and everyone's certainty that he would fulfill his destiny. But the tall, starry-eyed, soft-spoken almost-graduate was not leaving to become a rabbi or a Torah teacher in some other outpost of the Orthodox world. He was returning to northern Israel to resume his career as a top-division basketballer.

In his 34 years, Doron Sheffer has led three of Israel's top basketball squads to national and international titles, was a top player for the University of Connecticut's Huskies for three years, fought cancer and spent a year in a commune in Central America. During the past two years, he has devoted himself to study and contemplation. Now he was going back to his old life. The only real question was which had changed more - the yeshiva that was giving its blessing to a graduate who was leaving for the world of professional sports, or Hapoel Galil Elyon, the team that was willing to take on a veteran player regarded by many as a religious nutcase?

Israel is in the throes of a major religious awakening, reaching deep into all parts of society, but no one has been told about it yet. This renaissance of Jewish learning is going unreported and largely unremarked upon because it has not resulted in a perceptible shift toward one religious stream or denomination. There is no new mass movement, and none of the charismatic rabbis or teachers has turned into a guru with a following of thousands.

On the surface, the old fault lines between Haredi (ultra-Orthodox), dati (modern Orthodox), traditional and secular Israelis are still in place, but just beneath, these boundaries are becoming increasingly blurred.

Next week, over two thousand Jews of all ages and flavors will descend on the University of Warwick, in England, for this year's Limmud Conference. Founded 25 years ago, Limmud is a unique platform for volunteer-based, diverse, nondenominational Jewish learning. It has been transplanted successfully to Jewish communities from New York to the former Soviet Union. In Israel, however, similar events such as Hakhel at Ramat Efal and the Judaism festival at Kibbutz Kfar Blum have a much more structured and formal atmosphere. But at a grassroots level the country is coming alive with every possible form of learning and return to tradition.

On one level, this should not be surprising: Shouldn't the Jewish state be the easiest place to participate in Jewish life? But the truth is that for 50 years it has been impossible to be a Jew on your own terms here. There were a limited number of religious categories and you were automatically slotted into one of them by dint of your family, location, education and the way you spoke and dressed. Any deviation meant you had to change your entire way of life - zero tolerance for mavericks.

A secular Israeli undergoing hazara be'teshuva ("return to faith") would not only start observing Shabbat and praying three times a day, he or she would also dress differently, leave one's job and move to a religious neighborhood or settlement.

Leaving the Haredi world was even more traumatic, almost always involving a complete break from family and community.

New acronyms and euphemisms are being invented almost daily to define the ever-changing groupings. These include dati lite, Datlash (an acronym for dati lesheavar, formerly religious), Datlashlash (a formerly religious person who has returned to religion), Datlaf (dati lifamim, sometimes religious), mit'hazek ("getting stronger," anyone with a growing interest in religious observance) and Hardalnik (Haredi-leumi, Haredi Zionist).

While religious politics in Israel has remained as divisive as ever, the communities themselves have evolved dramatically in just a few years. In the secular world, there is suddenly much greater tolerance for those who engage in religious study, who assume a certain level of religious observance without leaving their jobs, homes and friends. Even in the Haredi community, at the same time that the rabbis are attempting to exercise ever more control over their followers, there have never been so many outlets for youth to express doubt, to challenge their elders and to indulge in non-approved pastimes while remaining within the fold as parents and teachers turn a blind eye.

The best analogy is to choosing an organic-diet lifestyle. In the not too distant past, if you wanted to live according to organic ideals, you had no choice but to move to one of the few organic communities in the Negev or Galilee. Today, every Tel Aviv supermarket offers a wide variety of organic products and nearly every city apartment can be adapted accordingly. As a result, organic urbanites abound. It's the same with religion. Israel is fast becoming a free market of Judaism, offering a range of widely available brands.

There is no way to measure the extent of the trend, in contrast to the past, when there were only a few hazara be'teshuva organizations. There are now so many unofficial communities that nothing is surprising anymore. It is no longer unusual to hear of a suburban Tel Aviv group that practices Vipassana meditation and also meets for Kabbalat Shabbat on Friday evening. Veteran Haredi educators who once persuaded young secular Israelis of the truth of the Torah and saw them through a total transformation grumble about the superficiality of it all. They view the new approach as having a lack of commitment, but they too have had to move with the times.
