I thought about the old time gospel and how brothers and sisters would not be brothers and sisters in the church only but out of the church...to invite those they do not know in the body to their home for dinner...to know one another as we are one..to meet the needs within the body...I thought about discipleship...There are so many people who go from church to church looking to be accepted and I have heard of those who have been hurt through a church and it should not be...Church is a place to go and Thank God...to hear His word...to bring the lost and the hurting...and to minister to them...Church has come so far from what is is meant to be...I know that there is alot of emphasis on programing and so much competition in numbers that the numbers are not discipled and fall away as babes left on their own...the program needed to day is to strengthen the body by the Word...I know the Word is mentioned so much in this forum..and I thank God for all of you who know how importrant it isand how it is life to those who apply it in their daily lives...It amazes me and encourages me...Everytime I post I think of the song...
I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of God...and to bring those who do not know the Lord into this light and disciple those that they can get stronger and not be thrown around by winds of doctrine that lead them astray...There is so much God will use us for if we will be available to His call and to do that which He commanded us to do..and that being the Gospel...there is no greater calling and no greater ministry...

Amen, sister! I can also remember a time when most of an entire city would get together for fellowship in the Lord. Several churches in the town would pass out fliers inviting the entire town and those from nearby towns out to a gathering for food and worship. Not only would these people be invited to church members homes for dinner later but many from the churches would continue going to their homes for visits, talking to them at the market or anywhere else they would see them.

In recent years people have become so secluded, changing the word of God to avoid offending them or not giving it to them at all. God's true word is still just as beautiful today as it was 2,000 years ago and if we truly love as God says we should we should all want to continue sharing that beautiful old time religion with any and all that we meet and to continue bringing the babes in Christ to a fuller maturity in Him.

Society of Heaven

These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb: therefore are they before the throne of God. Rev. 7:14, 15

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Matt. 13:43

Saints Shall Be Honored as Victors

I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. Rev. 7:9

To the Lamb amidst the throne,
And proclaim in joyful psalms,
Victory through his cross alone.

Saints Shall Be Kings and Priests Unto God

Thou hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev. 5:10

This is the hope that shall sustain me

Joys of Heaven Are Abundant

The Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of water. Rev. 7:17

The Lamb that fills the middle throne
Shall shed around his milder beams,
There shall they feast on his rich love,
And drink full joys from heavenly streams.
