Heaven a Rest

There remaineth a rest to the people of God. Heb. 4:9

Oh where shall rest be found,
Rest for the weary soul?
'Twere vain the ocean-depths to sound,
Or pierce to either pole.

Beyond this vale of tears,
There is a life above,
Unmeasured by the flight of years--
And all that life is love.

Heaven Compared to a Marriage Supper

Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. Rev. 19:9

"Worthy the Lamb!" aloud they cry,
"That brought us here to God:"
In ceaseless hymns of praise they shout
The merits of his blood.

Heaven an Inheritance

He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of etermal inheritance. Heb. 9:15

There is my house and portion fair,
My treasure and my heart are there,
And my abiding hom;
For me my elder brethren stay,
And angels beckon me away,
And Jesus bids me come.

Heaven a Kingdom

I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom. Luke 22:29, 30

O God! O Good beyond compare!
If all thy meaner works are fair,
How glorious must that kingdom be,
Where thy redeem'd shall dwell with thee!

Heaven Is Prepared Mansions

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

High in yonder realms of light,
Far above these lower skies,
Fair and exquisitely bright,
Heaven's unfading mansions rise.

Glad within these bless'd abodes,
Dwell the' enraptur'd saints above,
Where no anxious care corrodes,
Happy in Immanuel's love.

Heaven Compared to Paradise

Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Luke 23:43

There is a land of pure delight,
Where saints immortal reign;
Infinite day excludes the night,
And pleasures banish pain.

There everlasting spring abides,
And never-withering flowers:
Death, like a narrow sea, divides
This heavenly land from ours.

Heaven a State of Holiness

There shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev. 21:27

The soul, from sin for ever free,
Shall mourn its power no more,
But clothed in spotless purity,
Redeeming love adore.

Heaven a State of Happiness

Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Love, in an ever-deepening tide,
O'er all the plains above
Spreads, like a sea immensely wide--
For God himself is Love.

Heaven a State of Service

They serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. Rev. 7:15

And swift to do his high behest
Each spirit wings its flight;
And virtue glows on every breast,
A gem of purest light.

No Sorrow in Heaven

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4

Joy and gladness banish sighs,
Perfect love dispels their fears,
And for ever from their eyes,
God shall wipe away all tears.

No Curse in Heaven

There shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it. Rev. 22:3

When we shall Christ in glory meet,
Our utmost joys shall be complete:
When landed on that heavenly shore,
Death and the curse shall be no more.

No Night in Heaven

There shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Rev. 22:5

Nor needed is the shining moon,
Nor e'en the sun's bright ray;
For glory, from the sacred throne,
Spreads everlasting day.

It does not matter the times...He's the same today as yesterday...His mercy is renewed to us each day He gives...He keeps us in the shelter of His wings...and puts His angels charge over us...This earth will pass away and all in it...but on this earth...He has prepared us...he has prepared us to STAND through His word.....and by His power we can GO...In the Name of Jesus and tell the gospel even though there is persecution..and by His love...we can REST...safely in His presence everytime we come to Him in prayer....knowing our hope in SECURE in Jesus...and this is what this world and all that can come against us can never take away from those who are in Christ Jesus..
