Of Victory Over Sin

Of a Joyful Resurrection

I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: and though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Job 19:25, 26

Great God! what do I see and hear!
The end of things created:
The Judge of mankind doth appear

Of Meeting the Judge

We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Cor. 5:10

Oh! on that day, that wrathful day,
When man to judgment wakes from clay,
Lord, be the trembling sinner's stay,
Though heaven and earth shall pass away.

Of Entire Acquittal

Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died; yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Rom. 8:33, 34

For He that is to be thy Judge,
Thy Saviour is become.

See the Judge, our nature wearing,
Cloth'd in majesty divine;
Ye who long for his appearing
Then shall say, "This God is mine:"

Unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Jude 24
