He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:10

Look'd upon our misery:

Ever faithful, ever sure.

Of the Divine Counsel and Instruction

I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. Psalm 16:7

Sure the Lord thus far has brought me,
By his watchful tender care;
Sure, 'tis he himself has taught me
How to seek his face by prayer:
After so much mercy past,
Will he give me up at last?

Of Divine Promises Fulfilled

Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed therof. Josh. 23:14

Of Unnumbered Blessings

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psalm 40:5

Of Early Pious Instruction

Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and has been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. 2 Tim. 3:14

Conduct me in thy fear;
And grant me such supplies of grace

Of His Natural State

You that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. Col. 1:21

Of Past Unprofitableness

Of the Season of Conversion

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Col. 1:12, 13

And cut up all my follies by the root,
I never trusted in an arm but thine,
Nor hoped but in thy righteousness Divine:--
Cast at thy glorious feet, mine only plea

Of Spiritual Deliverance

Great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. Psalm 86:13

Bade all my sorrows cease;

Kindly he brought me to the place

The banner of his love he spread.

Of Support in Affliction

Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction. Psalm 119:92

God of my life, how good, how wise
Thy judgements to my soul have been!
They were but blessings in disguise,
The painful remedies of sin.
How different now thy ways appear,
Most merciful, when most severe!

Of Answers to Prayer

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1, 2

That thou shalt overcome at last?

Of Deliverance from Adversity

Be all my added life employ'd
Thy image in my soul to see:
Fill with thyself the mighty void;
Enlarge my heart to compass thee.
