17  Fellowship / For Men Only / Re: Pornography- The silent killer of the Body of Christ on: July 15, 2007, 01:39:10 PM
Has anyone other than myself ever suffered the spiritual decline brought on by pornography? If so lets unite here to discuss and overcome this major obstacle in a brotherly way. I realize most posters have a reputation to uphold here as with any discussion forum, but at the end of the day I wish to maintain the reputation as an honest man. I will tell you I am a Minister who has obtained deliverance from all addictions and still struggle with pornography for unlike other substances God has delivered me from (drugs etc) pornography consists of a God given desire to be attracted to the opposite sex. This is a major problem in America where 1/3 of all Pastors suffer from pornography addiction in one form or another. So who will be honest and engage this discussion in a realistic manner. Hopefully some will to edify the Body of Christ and exhort the Brethren.

God Bless, Paul
Pastors, preachers, are human like the rest of us, so why single them out in any given sin?

We are all to help keep one another out of the coming fire.

Jude 1:21.  "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
 22.  And of some have compassion, making a difference:
 23.  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."

Pastors and preachers are not singled out in these verses. The letter is addressed "to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:"

18  Theology / General Theology / What Makes Man Righteous? on: March 18, 2007, 11:38:55 AM
All of man could not find rightouseness in the law due to his inability to keep it all perfectly.

So, with this inability to be righteous in and of ourselves through keeping all the law. We therefore are found to be unrighteous.

I then ask what makes man righteous if he/she is unable to keep the law and transgresses the law to be sinners?

Can someone provide scriptures that show what makes man right/righteous, in his/her inability to keep the law perfectly, approved of/with God?

19  Entertainment / Politics and Political Issues / Fascism in America on: March 03, 2007, 09:27:03 AM
America seems to be filled with fascism these days. An attitude that if one thinks there is a better way or a different way than how things are being done, then they are not patriotic, they are un-American and can pack their bags and leave.

Our troops are in Iraq fighting those who have the same attitudes. Those who want only one opinion and others not be free to express and implement other ideas on things. The free expression that considers all thoughts with out fear of harm or put down.

James 1:14.  "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
 15.  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

1 Peter 4:1.  "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
 2.  That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God."

Where is the heart, the spirit of man that he will go after what he wants in the flesh and not what God wants walking in the Spirit?

Lay hold upon yourself to be guided by the Holy Spirit of God in the light that shines forth through the Christ.

Donot allow yourself to fall victim and revel in the things of the devil that abide in darkness and put you in the dark.

21  Theology / General Theology / Re: About Love on: March 01, 2007, 09:06:54 PM
God's love and the love that is required of Believers in Him is not that love excercised naturally by man either believers or non believers.

It is a love willing to die for all, that all might live. John 15:12-14
It is selfless love caring for others more than self. Jude 1:20-23
It is a love that if absent from one, yet all other aspects of Christian living are fulfilled, one will be nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
It is a love that fulfills all the law of God when exercised. Romans 13:8
It is a love that is a debt never to be paid off. Romans 13:3-8
It is a love that believers have for one another, the same love that the Christ has for them. He died for them in and out of that love. John 13:34-35
It is a love that identifies the disciples of Christ. John 13:35

Non believers are seperated from that love and will go into eternal seperation, Matthew 25:31-46, if they are not pricked to believing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
It is not a love experienced by non believers, but only believers. It is a love that should be shown to all by believers. The love of God.
As God works this love through His believers so that all may come to know it and be pricked in the heart to obey and receive the love of God. The giving of His Son on the cross for all who would believe.

And yet there is even more to be studied in His word that identifies the love of God and God being love spiritually as opposed to the love that is natural in His created natural man not yet born again into this spiritual love.

Point taken. I'll stick with the non-demonic cryptids.
Looks like your cereal may have to go with out milk.

Kryptid:
The ones that concern me are the popular cryptids that may well be demonic in nature. My case in point is the Chupacabras, a telepathic, humanoid entity that sucks the blood of sheep in an unexplained way. My personal belief is that the Chupacabras is not only real, but a demon. However, the Chupacabras is also a popular cryptid, which has a large amount of controversy surrounding it. Since it is one of the most famous cryptids, it would feel unnatural for me to leave it out of my book. That is like cereal without milk.

23  Theology / Prophecy - Current Events / Re: Israel to hold nationwide nuke-attack drill on: February 28, 2007, 10:03:41 AM
The only hope for natural Israel, as it is for all the natural world, is to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the saviour from their sins. So far to date they are anti-Christ.

24  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Tainted peanut butter spreading on: February 28, 2007, 09:56:35 AM
I fell victim to that peanut butter and was very sick for a few days. It was not your ordinary upset digestive system. I purchased the Peter Pan brand with that code number at a local discount grocery store. Unfortunately we had consumed most of that jar by the time this news came out. My son was also affected by it.

Tom,

I hear you, dear, brother.

Let us share the wondrous Christ and the saving power, in love, that he gave on the cross 2000 years ago or so. Let us share and give one another of that same love, that love that would lay down physical life for friends, so that they might have eternal life.

Nothing that comes out of Hollywood or the world of the flesh can ever change the facts of the gospel and how it pricks the heart with the Spirit to obey and believe our Lord unto salvation to eternal life and Godly living in this life.

America needs wisdom and it seems grossly missing from its leaders. I do not see it forthcoming in those who are gearing up to want to take the helm in 2009.

However it is God's will that be done. There is reason for everything. God's people rejoice living in the things of the Lord and not the things of the devil.

28  Prayer / General Discussion / Re: Separete Yourself From This World!!!!! on: February 28, 2007, 09:32:09 AM
That seperation is only possible through what Jesus Christ does within us through our faith to become, from His workmanship, new creatures in Him created unto good works.

Ephesians 2: 7.  "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
 8.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
 9.  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
 10.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

29  Theology / General Theology / Re: How to find God on: February 25, 2007, 11:07:21 AM
Many times God finds us, but some are unable to recognize or hear His call. The natural man cannot, only the spiritual.

30  Prayer / General Discussion / Re: God's People should be separate on: February 25, 2007, 11:03:11 AM
"God’s people should be separate from the world in spirit and conduct. ... Habits, which influence others wrongly, ought to be given up, even though harmless to those who practice them.

The body is to be honoured and treated as God’s dwelling-place, and hence should not be polluted or injured.

It is reasonable that seekers after Holiness should completely renounce everything wrong or doubtful."

Quoted from a old book of Doctrine of the Salvation Army.
Seek after the Christ. In Him are we made Holy to walk in the Spirit, seperated.
