The windows firewall that came with my computer has been sufficient along with the hardware protection that I have so I haven't gone searching for anything else in the firewall category.

Pastor Roger. I have read on numerous occasions that the windows firewall only stops one sort of traffic. I cannot recall if its outgoing traffic or incoming. But either way, if thats true, then you are seriously under protected. Of course its upto you but it may be worth just researching this and asking a few questions, to find out if this is correct.

I use zone alarm free firewall and found it very good and very reliable. I often test it and it passes every test that is thrown at it and not one port is able to be seen by probes that shields up send out.

As many of you know, i am a HUGE firefox fan and have been for a few years now. Of course, the biggest plus for me is the security gaps it fills that IE doesn't, but i love the versality of it, with extensions and themes you can add.

This past month i have also been playing with the Opera browser a lot and enjoying that also. Opera is slightly faster than firefox and since they have done away with the ugly advertising banners on the browser now and you can have a clutter free browser for free. So thought i would try it again and finding it pretty good.

And then of course, there is the new sea monkey browser that is taking place of the Mozilla suite. Sea monkey is in very early BETA testing so i haven't downloaded that yet but give it another few weeks and i am going to give it a try. By what i have heard, its very good and very fast.

I use all 3. Spybot, AdAware and also microsoft antispyware. One will find what the others may miss. If i had to pick a fav it would probably be AdAware, but microsofts antispyware is a close seceond.

Tom, i noticed you mentioning spywareblaster in the same group. You may know already but just to clarify for people who may not know, spywareblaster does NOT remove spyware. It is a program (and an excellent program at that) that stops spyware getting onto your computer in the first place. A very valuable piece of software and free.

I visited a web site this evening that i often visit and i think some of you may know about already, and on the home page, the author states how he was an unbeliver and he set out to prove that the bible was untrue. He searched and studied for months to try and find one contradication or one error and when he did, he would discount Christ forever. However, he never found one mistake and in the end, he had no choice but to accept that the bible was completly true and God was real and he then accepted the Lord as his savour.
I was reading the home page and he showed just 10 prophecys that have come true and i found it absolutely fascinating. Looking forward to digging into this even more.
