Entertainment / Animals and Pets / Re: Man's best friend

Hey all! I grew up having dogs and recently my family and I moved to an apartment where no dogs are aloud I am really missing having dogs in the family, I just feel that dogs add something special to a family. I think that the saying that dogs are a man's best friend is very true... Each dog seems to have it's own personality, it's really special... I am now already praying for us to find a house... the next dog that I want is a Siberian Husky I've found this rescue center where you can adopt them... But I guess what I actually want to say is that DOGS ARE AWESOME!!!:P Isn't our God just so amazing that He has created such wonderful things I agree totally. Last year, i was blessed with my first dog after a 42 year wait and how wonderful it is. Toby is now just over a year old and is a part of my family and brings such joy to my wife, children and I. God is awesome and Dogs are another part of the awesome work that he created

I wasn't really sure where to post these photos, but since they are of animals, i thought i would post them here. Yesterday, my wife, son and I visited the HQ of The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) here in Southern England....While their, for only the second time in my life, i viewed a Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and i managed to get a half decent photo of it...And then, while walking down one of the trails in the woodlands, a small snake slithered across the path in front of us...This was the first snake i have seen in the wild and didn't even know we had snakes in the UK...Hope you like the photos

To answer your question Lucky, 1) I would welcome everyone to join in as we are all one in Christ we should treat each other with love and respect for one another 2) encourage others to join in and let them know that any input they want to add is not only welcome, but important and welcome. 3) Acknowledge each person in all conversations, 4) In the case of a Forum such as this one, b ecome involved in as many topics as possible and try to give recognition to topics going on even if time does not allow for posting in each one, make an attempt to join in when time permits. After having done all the above I believe that it is up to everyone to do likewise, this would allow all to get involved, some people may not be interested in all the topics that are going on and that is fine, no one is expected to be. Also keep an open mind every one has a bad day at one point or another, put 10 people in a room and you will have as many personalities, some people just seem to get along with everyone, others may be a little more reserved, don't expect anyone to live up to your standards. These are just some ways, and they may not work all the time, but just as some may have a favorite aunt or uncle or a favorite cousin or friend, it does not mean that others are not allowed to mingle with them.
Great advice airIam2worship. Thank you

Brother John. Thank you for posting such a fantastic link. I have just been watching the eagle in the nest this morning and it was fascinating. Gods world of nature is truly breathtaking Pastor Roger, did you have any luck viewing the cam in firefox yet? I was able to 1st time, so i am guessing the cam was down when you tried.

This is the one thing about Computer Bibles that I don't like. They aren't very personal, and they won't be keepsakes.
Bro Tom. I found the same problem. My computer mointor looks pretty awful with all these highlighting marks on it

Intresting Thread and very thought provoking. However, i have to go along with what Pastor Roger said and that is, that we need to believe the word of God. What i have found over the years, whether it be by accident or on purpose, is that people take scripture, scripture that can be as clear as the nose on your face, and then try and make it mean something else or read something else into it. So often, i use to read a piece of scripture that seemed so straight forward and i thought to myself, "there must be more meaning to it than this or that". But i think i've learnt recently that what the word says is what it means and i have hopefully stopped trying to read other things into it. Of course, some parts of scripture, which are harder to grasp, i still wrestle with

I know that for most of you, today (March 26th) is not Mothering Sunday, but here in The UK, we honour our Mothers today with this special day and i therefore like to wish all Mum's on CU, wherever you may be, a wonderful, God Filled Mothers day.

Thank you all, for your kind comments about Toby. Yes, i would have to agree with you, he is a big dog and when i take him out for his walks, it can sometimes seem, who is taking who for a walk? He sure has been a joy and a real blessing to my family and I.
TalkerCat, once again, many thanks for the offer to talk about the 40 days of purpose course that we are running at our church during this period of Lent. I may well take you up on that offer one day soon...I am so enjoying the course and find it helpful and also encouraging. I have heard lots of negative comments online regarding this course, but i can only take it as i find it and for me, that is, a very good course that especially encourages people to go deeper in there walk with the Lord, becomming more commited to him. Also enjoying the time in small housegroups everyweek, which is what part of the course deals with, and once again, i am finding it true.
