Well this week, (tomorrow in fact) we are taking off for York, Pa. and then Denver, Co. We will be visiting family members, and enjoy our time out of state. My daughter will be coming over to feed our animals, and take care of things in general. I hope and pray that each one of y'all have a safe and blessed time on the forum. And brother Tom................ Let's try and not get to wild while I'm gone. I know how you like to get wild, with your creamers, for your coffee. Bob Luke 9:6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Enjoy your trip Brother Bob. I'll have to confess that I did have some hazelnut creamer yesterday, but it's plain black today. Love In Christ, Tom

Hello Everyone!
Pull up a chair, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy some excellent Christian materials.
Our last forecasted winter storm missed us here, but many others didn't get missed. Stay warm and safe, and know that you will be in our prayers.
Love In Christ, Tom

I am trying out a Christian dating site. I need to describe myself and my personality.
What would you say about me? Please be completely honest and blunt. Please add as much detail as possible.

Hello Brother David, First, I'm an old guy who hasn't done any dating in 40 years, so I might not be a very good person to ask. This is also about as personal as one can get and should involve what you want to say about yourself. I also don't have a lot of details - just what you've said about yourself on the forum and in emails. I might say something like: young and sincere Christian, growing in the Strength of Christ. I think that much more than this would be a personal matter for you to decide. I realize that I didn't help you much, but I'm a 60 year old who would have a hard time thinking about dating and your age group. Love In Christ, Tom

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. We are on our way here of getting damages repaired and things cleaned up from our ice storm. We were pleasantly surprised with the insurance adjuster and won't have to deplete as much of our savings as we first thought. This is just a note to tell everyone how fortunate we feel, and we know that God watched over us. One of our biggest trees that was about to fall would have fallen into the house, but we got it removed before it fell. God is good to us. Pull up a chair, relax, have a cup of coffee, and read some good Christian materials. Love In Christ, Tom Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

In fact I've wiped out for the past few days. I also think I'll need a few more days to recover. Reading through the posts, I see you been up to your normal mis-behavior. I hope and pray that the people in Hawaii, are being safe (and smart) from the "Tsunami". My son-in-law called me earlier to let me know of the tsunami warning. And my prayers are going out for those in Chile. Bob Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hello Brother Bob and All,
The people involved in earthquakes and tsunamis are already in my prayers. I'm listening to some news about that right now. There was just another 6 point earthquake in Argentina. There is no news about whether the two could be related, but there are also after-shocks anticipated that could also be huge. The one in Chile was 8.8, and I don't think that the experts know what other events something this massive could trigger. One expert said that the Chile earthquake was 500 times more powerful than the one that hit Haiti, so I think it would be safe to say that only God knows how many other events will happen because of this one.
In thinking about this, I couldn't help but think about Bible Prophecy yet to be fulfilled and many recent events that MIGHT be related to an emerging "Big Picture of Bible Prophecy". Regardless, all involved will remain in my prayers. I just heard an expert on Fox News say there could be dozens of after-shocks of 5.0 or greater magnitude that could last for days, weeks, or even months from a massive 8.8 earthquake. I don't remember anyone mentioning what the record might be in magnitude for an earthquake, but I would imagine this might be close.
Love In Christ, Tom

Chile was hit with 9.5 in the 1960's. That is the largest known as of today. So far there has been over 60 aftershocks of 5.0 or higher and it is expected that there may still be some of 7.0 to hit Chile. The one to hit SALTA, ARGENTINA is now being reported at 6.3 and it is around 200 to 250 miles inland from the one in Chile. The entire Pacific rim is experiencing a lot of earthquakes today.

I haven't heard about this one yet. I also appreciate the additional information in your previous post. My home is near a fault line that's been inactive for a long time. In fact, it's a juncture of several fault lines. By the way, we're still having trouble with our Internet connection, so this will probably be short.

Good Morning Everyone! I'm in my favorite chair, drinking a cup of fresh coffee, and enjoying a variety of excellent Christian materials. It's Wednesday, and I hope that everyone is having a great week. I was just reflecting again about how short the time may be left in this Age Of Grace. It makes me very happy to know that we have a better Hope than this world. I love thinking about our real Citizenship in Heaven and the Promises of God. This world appears to be sinking into evil chaos, just as God's Word said that it would. For us, this simply means that we are getting closer to the Glorious Appearance of Our Lord and Saviour to take us Home. I was just reading one of my favorite portions of Scripture and want to share with you: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
AND: Matthew 6:19-21 KJV Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.Love In Christ, Tom
