On a sad note, I just heard a news spot about 4 police officers being executed by a madman in Tacoma, Washington. Initial information indicates there was no reason at all for their deaths except for them being police officers. I'd like to ask everyone to join me in prayer for the families of these slain officers.
Already there brother, I heard on the news a while ago(Fox). I add my prayers to many others, who I'm sure are praying for the families, of the 4 men and the woman officer assassinated earlier. And yes, to me is was an assassination of 5 police officers in Washington.

Hello Brother Bob,
I must have misunderstood the number killed. I just caught part of a news clip on Fox, and they didn't have many details. My wife and I talked about this at dinner, and she shared what news she heard on another channel. She said the officers were from Lakewood, Washington - I assume a suburb of Tacoma or a smaller city encompassed by Tacoma. My wife heard a clip stating that these slain officers were 10% of the entire department killed on a single day. This is a horribly sad day that won't be forgotten. I don't think there's been an official news release yet. If so, I missed it.
I remember some horrible days in Oklahoma when multiple officers were killed in a single day, but they were in gun fights and at least able to defend themselves. Yes, assassination would be a good word for what happened today, and it was done by a coward who had no intention of giving the officers a chance to defend themselves. This world is going insane.

An update from an hour ago says that the shooter of the 4 police officers was injured and may have been killed. According to one of the witnesses at the coffee shop one of the officers wounded him before being killed by the shooter.

We are indeed heading into some very sad times.

Amen to that. It seems these random acts of violence are becoming more and more of every day occurrences. It is a sad day for America when God is removed then evil charges in. Be in prayer for those families of the police officers. It will be a sad Christmas for them.
I received an e-mail with this clever idea, that you may want to do:
As you know the ACLU has been working hard to get rid of the Christmas part of the holiday. So may be we all should send them a nice Christian card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world.
Make sure it says "MERRY CHRISTMAS" on it. Don't be rude or crude.
Address is:
ACLU
125 Broad Street
18 th Floor
New York, NY 10004
Hope you all have a nice day.

Add this: just think about how easy it appears to be to deceive masses. Many of those masses are blind to what's going on under their noses. We know what God's Word says about the later days. The stage is set and the players are ready. Before all is said and done, the entire world will be plunged into greed, violence, insanity, and chaos. The world appears to be teetering on the edge - ready for some big events clearly foretold in God's Word.

I sure hope Jesus doesn't tarry much longer. I can't stand how this world, has gone down the toilet this past few years.
Just think, no more pain, tears, all there will be is fellowship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As well as with other brothers and sisters. The first thing I'm going to do is kneel before the Lord and thank Him, and tell Him He is the Lord, Jesus Christ. Praise God for His kindness He shows us, and His saving Grace.

Brothers and Sisters,
I can't remember the exact date when we leave, but my wife, my mother, and myself are flying out of state to spend Christmas with my daughter's family. My son is also flying in, so we'll have our entire immediate family there. We will attend some special worship services, and I'm sure that we will have a great time.
Here's wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!
Luke 2:4-20 (KJV) 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen [it], they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard [it] wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered [them] in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Thanks Islandboy and Brother David,
I appreciate the best wishes and extend the same to you. If the weather for the airlines cooperates, I don't think we can miss having a good time.

We're back from St. Louis and had a wonderful Christmas. Our entire family gathered. The weather cooperated perfectly on our departure and our return, so we give thanks. There was a blizzard at home the day after we left. We had a White Christmas in St. Louis, and it cleared well enough for our return flight. We got home late last night, and it's snowing again here. Again, we give thanks. We just got some groceries and things we needed before it started snowing again.
I hope and pray that everyone had a Great Christmas! Everyone has been in my thoughts and prayers.
Love In Christ,
Tom
2 Corinthians 9:8-15 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; 13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; 14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

I pray that each and everyone of y'all had a very Merry Christmas. I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee and looking at alot of posts made while I wasn't here. Reading anything that is of the Lord's work is always enjoyable though.
Isaiah 66:12
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
