Hello DreamWeaver,
Brother, it's great to have you back. I just got back from St. Louis night before last. We had a wonderful time, and God blessed us with safe travel.
I'm doing the same thing you are - reading excellent Christian materials and having a cup of coffee. We've had snow and more snow, but things appear to be slowing down now and leveling off to just plain COLD. We have groceries and all we need, so we don't need to go out anyway. So, we're resting up from our trip and taking it easy.
Love In Christ,
Tom
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV) 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Hello Brothers.
Brother Tom, I am glad you had a wonderful trip.
I read your post about loyalty to Christ. I know I am not being very loyal, but I want to. I am just very weak.

Hello Brother David,
I'm glad to be back, and my puppies are also glad that we're back. They stayed in a boarding kennel while we were gone, and they are glad to be home.
Ref. Loyalty to Christ, we all have a long way to go. Not one of us comes anywhere close to measuring up the way that we should be. This is another reason to give thanks that we are in Christ, and God the Father sees us through Christ. The only way we have any Righteousness is the Righteousness of Jesus Christ imputed to our account because of our Faith in Him. Truly, the Law of Faith in Jesus Christ has set us free from the curse of sin and death. Our Lord and Saviour measures up in all ways, and we are Members of His Body - the Church Which Is The Body of Christ.
Love In Christ,
Tom
Romans 10:4-13 For Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness to every one that believeth. 5 For Moses writeth that the man that doeth the righteousness which is of the law shall live thereby. 6 But the righteousness which is of faith saith thus, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down:) 7 or, Who shall descend into the abyss? (That is, to bring Christ up from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: 9 because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: 10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be put to shame. 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him: 13 for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 15:1-10 Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand, 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I preached unto you, except ye believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures; 5 and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve; 6 then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep; 7 then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles; 8 and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Ephesians 2:1-10 And you did he make alive, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins, 2 wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience; 3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest: - 4 but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved), 6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus: 7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus: 8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not of works, that no man should glory. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.
Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, 5 not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
As Christians, every day can and should be HAPPY for us because we know about God's Promises to us. Regardless of our personal circumstances, we have huge lists of things to give thanks for. The most important things on our lists are Eternal - the things of God and from God.
This world is not our home - our Citizenship is in Heaven.

Good Morning Everyone!
I've just got enough time to say hello and read a few posts, and then I have to go to the Dentist - my 4th recent trip. If I'm a good boy, I'll get a lolly-pop. No drill this time - YEAH!
Everyone stay warm.

You might find this hard to believe, but we had a flat on the car and had to reschedule the appointment. I think they had a hard time believing also, so the new appointment is all the way to 2-24.
BUT, we did have a flat.

Hello Everyone!
I hope that everyone is well and staying warm. We've gotten over most of our extreme winter we had this year, and we're back to what we normally have - 40s and 50s in the day and 30s at night. I understand that many are still in the deep freeze, and you are in my prayers.
Drink a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and read some excellent Christian materials.
Love In Christ,
Tom

LOL, you should be here brother David. It's a good thing I have a pot of coffee, as we'll need it tonight.
We had 8 inches of snow last night, and then it rained today. There is about 2 inches of snow left, and more is expected tonight. The creek is also close to cresting now, but I'm far enough away so I don't have to worry about it, at least.
They are calling for up to 3 foot of snow tonight. Over night temperatures are to be around 31 tonight, and we had a high of 38 degrees. And the wind just started blowing and is at 14 miles per hour now. We are also under a "Winter storm warning", and a "Flood warning" until noon Saturday.

Hello Brother David and All,
I forgot - you also drink hot tea instead of coffee. My wife does the same. She doesn't like the taste of coffee at all. I think that almost everyone likes hot chocolate from time to time. Me, I must have my coffee, and I just got some fresh and hot.
Our weather here has warmed up some to what we usually have, but we still had the roughest winter we've had in a long time. They've even had snow storms in California and Florida this year, so it's been an unusually cold year.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to let everyone know that we're beginning cleanup after the ice storm, but we're still going through times without electricity. We were just warned today that we might also go through times without water. We will go stay with relatives if these services are turned off for any length of time.
I hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining. We are very thankful that our damages are relatively minor compared to many others. Our whole city looks like a war zone with fallen trees, power lines, power poles, and significant damage to many structures. We still have new shelters opening because of large numbers of homes without electricity. Right now, we feel very fortunate to have electricity and water. They even had to run our local hospitals on emergency generators for a time, and I think that public service has power back on for emergency services. We even lost some local radio stations and our emergency weather radio due to towers that fell during this ice storm.
Let me conclude by saying that we give thanks and appreciate your prayers during this storm. We are indeed fortunate.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Well this week, (tomorrow in fact) we are taking off for York, Pa. and then Denver, Co. We will be visiting family members, and enjoy our time out of state. My daughter will be coming over to feed our animals, and take care of things in general.
I hope and pray that each one of y'all have a safe and blessed time on the forum. And brother Tom................ Let's try and not get to wild while I'm gone. I know how you like to get wild, with your creamers, for your coffee.
