YES, I do have my coffee, and I'm enjoying a nice, quiet day at home with my wife. We will watch fireworks on television and listen to some music. We will also be giving THANKS for the many Blessings of GOD.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

GOD IS FIRST AND LAST!

Isaiah 26:1-21 ASV In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: we have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks. 2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth faith may enter in. 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jehovah, even Jehovah, is an everlasting rock. 5 For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. 6 The foot shall tread it down; even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. 7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou that art upright dost direct the path of the just. 8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; to thy name, even to thy memorial name, is the desire of our soul. 9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee earnestly: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. 10 Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah. 11 Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see thy zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries. 12 Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us. 13 O Jehovah our God, other lords besides thee have had dominion over us; but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. 14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish. 15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land. 16 Jehovah, in trouble have they visited thee; they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them. 17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain and crieth out in her pangs; so we have been before thee, O Jehovah. 18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 19 Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Read this carefully and see if you can say "I know the ROCK OF AGES WHO WAS CLEFT FOR ME!" I don't have to wait - HE knows me, and I know HIM.

YES - Isaiah 26:3-4 was the inspiration for Augustus Toplady to write "Rock of Ages" while seeking shelter in a cleft in a rocky crag during a violent thunderstorm.

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Cleanse me from its guilt and power.
While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on Thy judgment-throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

Isaiah 9:6-7 ASV  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  7  Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

NO, I'm not just getting up. I've been up for awhile, I have my coffee, and I'm having a nice morning reading a variety of excellent Christian materials. I was just reflecting on how hard this world is getting in comparison to our Unchanging and Loving God and Saviour. Our Rest, Peace, and Hope is in HIM - not this world. I am more convinced than ever that all of our answers are IN HIM, and HE continues to shower us with HIS LOVE AND GRACE.

SO SMILE AND KEEP LOOKING UP!

Love In Christ,
Tom

G'DAY MATES!

I remember this being said often by some Australian friends.

Brother Bob, that's a beautiful portion of Scripture in Numbers. That's one of the nicest things you could say to anyone. There is definitely peace, beauty, comfort, and love in God's Word that we should avail ourselves of every day.

You also talked about coffee, and I don't have any in front of me right now. So, this situation needs to be handled ASAP.   Wink

Love In Christ,
Tom

Brother Tom,

I was about to read a bit in my Bible, and was feeling a little out of it. So I just opened my Bible, and that is the first thing (Numbers 6:24-26) I saw. God knows when we need, just that little extra, and He provides.

Brother Bob,

I know that neither one of us believes in coincidence. This would be especially true with the blessings, strength, guidance, and comforting of God. God is with us always, and we know beyond doubt that He will never leave or forsake us.

Brother, I was just thinking about the rich and famous who have been in the news recently and how miserable their lives really were. They had everything the world has to offer, but they were empty and alone. It's very sad to think about people without Christ. What an amazing difference it would be if they would invite Jesus Christ into their lives!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB  14  For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,  15  from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,  16  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,  17  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  18  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  19  and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

GOOD MORNING BROTHER DAVID AND ALL!

Brother David, I see you here bright and early reading and making posts, and I hope that you have a great day.

I was just thinking about how fortunate we are. We are Children of the King of Kings, and this is another wonderful day that the LORD has made - Let us be glad and rejoice in it.

We can Smile - KEEP LOOKING UP! - and know that God has wonderful plans and intentions for us.

I was just thinking about some Scripture that I'd like to share.

Psalms 130:1-8 ASV  1  Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Jehovah.  2  Lord, hear my voice: Let thine ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.  3  If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?  4  But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.  5  I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.  6  My soul waiteth for the Lord More than watchmen wait for the morning; Yea, more than watchmen for the morning.  7  O Israel, hope in Jehovah; For with Jehovah there is lovingkindness, And with him is plenteous redemption.  8  And he will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Romans 8:24-28 ASV  24  For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?  25  But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.  26  And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;  27  and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28  And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.

2 Corinthians 10:14-15 ASV  14  For we stretch not ourselves overmuch, as though we reached not unto you: for we came even as far as unto you in the gospel of Christ:  15  not glorying beyond our measure, that is, in other men's labors; but having hope that, as your faith groweth, we shall be magnified in you according to our province unto further abundance,

Philippians 1:19-20 ASV  19  For I know that this shall turn out to my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,  20  according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

Acts 26:6-7 ASV  6  And now I stand here to be judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers;  7  unto which promise our twelve tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain. And concerning this hope I am accused by the Jews, O king!

Job 14:7 ASV  7  For there is hope of a tree, If it be cut down, that it will sprout again, And that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

Acts 2:26 ASV  26  Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope:

1 Corinthians 9:10 ASV  10  or saith he it assuredly for our sake? Yea, for our sake it was written: because he that ploweth ought to plow in hope, and he that thresheth, to thresh in hope of partaking.

Romans 5:2 ASV  2  through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 12:12 ASV  12  rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;

Ephesians 4:4-6 ASV  4  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling;  5  one Lord, one faith, one baptism,  6  one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 ASV  8  But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

2 Thessalonians 2:16 ASV  16  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

Titus 1:2 ASV  2  in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal;

Titus 3:7 ASV  7  that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 3:6 ASV  6  but Christ as a son, over his house; whose house are we, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end.

Hebrews 6:11 ASV  11  And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence unto the fulness of hope even to the end:

1 Peter 1:3 ASV  3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 3:15 ASV  15  but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:

Colossians 1:5 ASV  5  because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

Hebrews 6:18 ASV  18  that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:

1 Timothy 1:1 ASV  1  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and Christ Jesus our hope;

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 ASV  19  For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?  20  For ye are our glory and our joy.

Tom

Good Morning Brother Tom.

Hope you and everyone has a great day too.

Hello Brother David,

I am having a very nice day and enjoying a variety of excellent Christian materials. I am reminded daily that feeding our spirits with the wholesome things of the LORD is good for us in many ways. First, this is something that God wants us to do, and He has provided the opportunity to fill ourselves with His Word and other Godly materials. Second, this dramatically improves our joy as Christians while we anxiously await His Glorious Appearing.

Brother David, I know that I keep saying that I think the time is growing near for the Rapture, and that feeling is intensifying by the day. There are signs all over the world that the end of this Age of Grace is drawing near. Regardless, God is with us every step of the way for the remainder of this short life.

We can just Smile and KEEP LOOKING UP!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 89:13-16 NLT  13  Powerful is your arm! Strong is your hand! Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.  14  Your throne is founded on two strong pillars-righteousness and justice. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.  15  Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD.  16  They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness.

Psalms 118:19-24 NLT  19  Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the LORD.  20  Those gates lead to the presence of the LORD, and the godly enter there.  21  I thank you for answering my prayer and saving me!  22  The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone.  23  This is the LORD'S doing, and it is marvelous to see.  24  This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Hello Everyone,

I know that many had a problem reading the forum today and/or logging on to use the forum. Our Administrator had to clean some things up and reboot the forum software. Everything appears to be back to normal now, and our Administrator didn't mention anything about the forum being attacked or anything else negative.

So, get a cup of coffee and enjoy the forum. There's nothing wrong with your computer, and there's nothing wrong with Christians Unite.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 4:1-25 ASV  1  What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, hath found according to the flesh?  2  For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God.  3  For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.  4  Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt.  5  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.  6  Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works,  7  saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.  8  Blessed is the man to whom, the Lord will not reckon sin.  9  Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness.  10  How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision:  11  and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision; that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;  12  and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.  13  For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.  14  For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:  15  for the law worketh wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.  16  For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all  17  (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.  18  Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be.  19  And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb;  20  yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,  21  and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.  22  Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.  23  Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned unto him;  24  but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,  25  who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.

O'top of thee day to ye.

I see your on brother David, and pray you have a great day ahead of you.

Well I have my coffee, and the Lord with me. Reading my Bible, I came across  Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Talk about a powerful statement by the Lord!! It always feels good to read my Bible, to see that the Lord has to tell me. The Lord knows, just what each of us need for the day to keep on going for the day.

Hello DreamWeaver and all,

First, AMEN!

God does provide what we need the most each day, and that's HIM.

I'd also like to share a portion of Scripture that I'm reading right now:

Philippians 1:2-11 (ESV)2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

The Apostle Paul walked with God and was never alone. Paul's Epistles are among my favorite portions of Scripture because they describe what God wants to do and can do in our lives, even in this short life. Paul knew there was MUCH MORE and BETTER than just this short life, and so do we. Paul beautifully describes our inner life in the Spirit and fellowship with each other, especially those who are already One in CHRIST.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Philippians 1:12-14 (ESV)12 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. 14 And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
