I just have to share this one.

My wife and I have had the twins quite a bit recently. We have had to work with the girl a lot as she has seemed to pick up a demanding attitude from somewhere. We were all outside enjoying the nice weather the other day. Carly looked at Grandma and in a very demanding tone says "Get my bike for me. It is too heavy for me to get." Grandma looks at her and says, "Please, get my bike," with emphasis on the word please. Carly says, "Okay," and then runs to get her bike.

 Grin   Grin

I do have my coffee and I'm reflecting on the wonderful visit I had with my children and grandchildren. I can assure you that my three grandsons did their jobs, especially the two-year old. They kept us laughing most of the time and we got some great pictures. All we really had to do for entertainment was to be together.

I've also reflected often about the Blessings of God and all that we should be giving Thanks for every day. As Christians, we are rich beyond human imagination, but not in the ways of the world.

This Verse explains just one of the Joys that this world can't offer.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Luke 21:7-11 ASV  7  And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when therefore shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when these things are about to come to pass? 8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not led astray: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and, The time is at hand: go ye not after them. 9 And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified: for these things must needs come to pass first; but the end is not immediately. 10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; 11 and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven.

I give Thank to the Lord today for my coffee.   And His blessings He gives me every day that I am here on this wicked world. I know what is coming but, I'm ready for the Lord to call us home.

Praise Him in the highest for His calming He has given me.

Matthew 18:7 Woe unto the world because of occasions of stumbling! for it must needs be that the occasions come; but woe to that man through whom the occasion cometh!

Jesus' concern is the sin of being the temptation or enticement that causes others to sin. He does not stipulate whether one is the direct cause through persuasion or flaunted worldliness, or indirectly through one's manner of life. Hypocrisy may very well tempt others to sin more than outright atheism!

Time is getting short, in the mean time, KEEP LOOKING UP!!

Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Good Morning and praise God for a beautiful day!  This is my Monday but after this work week, I'm on vacation for 9 days!  WhooHoo.

To Brothers David and DW, please don't feel bad that I deleted your comments in my poll.  I respect your opinion of course!  I just didn't want it to influence how others might vote or not vote.  Forgive me if that hurt your feelings.  Certainly that was not my intention.   My first thought upon hearing of his death was it was too bad that his time had run out to turn to God.  In fact my heart is sad everytime I look around my environment at all the lost people.  I want to stand in the middle of them  and yell, "Turn to GOD!"  Unfortunately, I don't think that would go anywhere except for a one way ride to the looney bin for me!   Grin

That is alright.

It is sad whenever one dies without knowing God

Sister,

No I'm not mad, or upset. I just feel sad for the way he chose to live his life. I pray, that things came clear for him in the end.  My one wish for him, would have been that he would find Christ, before he passed away. He may have been messed up but God loved him, just as much as he loves each of us.

I have mixed emotions about Michael Jackson, but he appears to tell a story about how sad this world is and how cruel life can be when driven by money and fame. It could even be a story about this short life without CHRIST. There was misery with money and fame, and there was obviously a sad emptiness for a person who had everything by the world's standards. It's really a tragic story of someone having everything - but nothing. I don't know how else to describe it except that I felt sorry for him, and I feel sorry for everyone like him.

As Christians, we have a different way of describing real happiness in this short life, and it always begins with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fills a horrible emptiness, and HE gives a purpose and joy that this world can't offer. So, I again give Thanks that Jesus Christ rescued me from the curse of sin and death. I thought about the obvious loneliness of Michael Jackson and give thanks that I am never alone. Jesus Christ will never leave or forsake me. There is a long list of stark comparisons between what the world has and what Christians have. The list would take a book, but the first thing that should be most obvious is that the things of this world don't make people happy - just the opposite. As an individual Christian and person, I'm very sad that so many people are eaten alive by this world without CHRIST, and they die in their sins.

I just have one final reflection on this subject: the greatest gift Michael Jackson's parents could have given him would have been to bring him up in the ways of the LORD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Revelation 22:1-7 ASV  1  And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,  2  in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  3  And there shall be no curse any more: and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be therein: and his servants shall serve him;  4  and they shall see his face; and his name shall be on their foreheads.  5  And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.  6  And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angels to show unto his servants the things which must shortly come to pass.  7  And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.

This is for you 3 Stooges fans....I just stepped out my front door and my neighbor and a brand new shirt on with......a huge picture of Larry!  Oh my gosh, it was so funny.  Of course we got into a conversation of how men LOVE the stooges, but most women don't.

And now for your viewing pleasure.....

Wait a minute now. That's denigrating the 3 Stooges. We would all be better off if we had the 3 Stooges instead of the current obama cabinet.

Brothers and Sisters! Some of us are in grave error! Some of us have assumed that MJ is in Hell. We don't know this! We don't know his last thoughts.

Hello Brother David,

Anything is possible, so only God knows. All the world knows is what he professed - Islam.

Hey, that is mean sister. The three stooges are 100 times better then Obama could be on his best day. That is an insult to the greatest slap stick comedy actors of all time.
