Hello Grammyluv,

I just have one question about your new car:  what's the range on your new WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION?

Well I can tell you this...since it's a white 4 door sedan with a bumper sticker (put on yesterday) that says:

"FBI" in large black letters and then in small letters it says: "firm believer in Christ"

I'll bet I get some second looks!

(isn't that just like me!?)

I also have a black t-shirt that says:

I think that we all need bumper stickers and t-shirts like that. Open a small business and see what happens.

Quite frequently our dreams reflect those things that are of concern to us and are not necessarily any kind of a "message" from God. It is natural to be worried that we might be headed for hell. After all it is exactly where all of mankind deserves to go. Thank God though we can be assured through the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that we are not going there.

We can have the peace in our hearts because we can know positively that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. Eph 1:13

Brother, you know in your heart who Jesus Christ is and you have professed Him to be your Lord and Saviour. Have full faith that He which is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him will do so according to His promises.

Brother, every once in a while I will have a dream that I'm drinking or using drugs.  When I wake up I start praising God that it was only a dream and that the things about me that used to be true are not true anymore because I'm forgiven and loved by Christ.  In the same way, our destination before turning our lives over to Christ was hell, it is not true any longer because of the salvation we recieved the minute we accepted Him as Lord in our lives!  Don't listen to the devil tell you things about yourself that are untrue.  He is a liar and would love nothing more than for us to doubt the love of God.  Let peace reign in heart that God loves you and you are the apple of His eye!

Hello Brother David, Grammyluv, and All,

The devil is the accuser of the individual Christian. As a beautiful analogy, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF is the defense attorney because there is no condemnation in CHRIST.

This is really a beautiful Promise from GOD - not just an illustration. We have peace with GOD - but certainly NOT peace with the world or with the devil. The devil is going to be attacking us any way that he can for the rest of this short life. His objective is to weaken us as Ambassadors for CHRIST, and he is highly skilled.

Ephesians 6:11-20 NIV  11  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.  12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  13  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  14  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,  15  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  16  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  18  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.  19  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,  20  for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

AMEN! - GOOD MORNING PASTOR ROGER AND ALL!

I just had your very same thoughts in reading recent posts. Strength does become a major issue for all Christians when we see all of the things going on around us every day. The vast majority of news these days is really depressing, but we have to remember this is news about the world, NOT NEWS ABOUT THE BODY OF CHRIST.

I read several articles in the last couple of days that pertain to things happening in many local churches. We are also watching many local assemblies crumble and fail with immorality and conforming with the world. We must remember to put things in the proper Biblical Perspective when we think about local gathering places called churches. The CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST is made up of ALL SAVED MEMBERS! The BODY OF CHRIST hasn't changed and won't change, and neither will the BODY OF CHRIST conform to the world. This Biblical perspective is very hard for lost people to understand. Going to church doesn't make one a Christian. The church membership of a local church is written down on a man-made piece of paper. The CHURCH MEMBERSHIP FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST is an Eternal Covenant with GOD. This is almost impossible for the world to understand. That local church building is made with human hands, but the BODY OF CHRIST IS MADE BY GOD WITH LIVING STONES! That local church has men in charge, but the BODY OF CHRIST HAS JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF IN CHARGE!

I give thanks that there are still many local assemblies that yield themselves to CHRIST. As Christians, a proper Biblical Perspective of CHRIST BEING IN CHARGE also applies to our homes and marriages. The world perspective is that men fail frequently. The Biblical Perspective is that CHRIST NEVER FAILS! SO, as Christians, common sense would tell us to be yielded to CHRIST as the first priority in all things! The world is going to fail miserably, and this is a FACT set in concrete. As a STARK CONTRAST - THE ONLY VICTORY IS IN CHRIST - AND CHRIST IS VICTORY!

All The Way My Savior Leads Me

Words: Fanny Crosby, Music: Robert Lowry - 1875

All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav'nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate'er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate'er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread;
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Savior leads me
O the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father's house above.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages  -
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages  -
Jesus led me all the way.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Good Morning and another Amen!

Even though it is somewhat chilly it is still a fairly nice day here. Nice enough that it seemed to draw some of my immediate neighbors outside for awhile. We all gathered together and had a nice talk. The subject is one that comes up here frequently by many different members. The question was asked, how do know that God is with us? One person said it was because they would feel His presence. Another said they could sometimes hear Him talking with them and yet a third said they could occasionally see Him.

I couldn't help but notice that none of these statements were about all of the time. I asked them then what about the other times, you know, those times that you don't feel His presence, you don;t hear Him talking and can't see Him? What about those times? How can we know that Jesus Christ is with us?

I didn't get an answer from anyone and this is just the same as it is with a number of people today including a large number of various churches. They don't have an answer, they don't even have an inkling.

Even if we can't feel His presence, or we can never hear Him talking to us or we never see Him in any manner we can still be assured that He is with us at all times because Jesus Christ, our very God and Saviour, has told us that this is so.

Mat 28:20  ...  and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Heb 13:5  ...   for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Heb 13:6  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Nor do we need to fear the devil nor anything that he may try to do to us.

Amen? AMEN!

Psa 42:11  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psa 117:1  O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.

AMEN PASTOR ROGER!

I'm really enjoying this thread today. Sister May, it's also nice to hear from you. Sister May, you asked me if I'm ready for the GREAT DAY, and the answer is YES! In fact, I anxiously await it. All of my family are Christians, so they are going HOME also. Some in my family are very young, but even my grandsons know what it means in their own way to go to Heaven. I say that, but my youngest just turned two years old and is just learning to talk. I firmly believe that GOD takes all of the babies and children too young to understand.

I've had some health problems, but I don't have anything to complain about. I've had another series of tests and see my doctor tomorrow, so I'm hoping for some positive things. Regardless, we are Children of the KING OF KINGS, and we are just temporarily away from HOME in this short life. YES, I do think that the time is growing close for CHRIST to take us home. RIGHT NOW OR TONIGHT would be just wonderful! If not today - SOON!

Sister May, here's a portion of Scripture that I like to read often. It deals with "Crowns" which is over and above SALVATION. Some mistake it to mean SALVATION, but it's rewards that are over and beyond SALVATION!

A beautiful Bible study can be done on "Crowns", and this is definitely more than SALVATION. I would like some "Crowns", but not for pride or vanity. One must study the Epistles of Paul to understand this. Paul wanted to run his race and fight his fight well because he loved CHRIST. I would also like to hear one day "well done good and faithful servant", even though I know that I don't deserve anything at all.

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 ASV  23  And I do all things for the gospel's sake, that I may be a joint partaker thereof.  24  Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain.  25  And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

Philippians 4:1 ASV  Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 ASV  19  For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?  20  For ye are our glory and our joy.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 ASV  For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come.  7  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith:  8  henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

James 1:12 ASV  Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he hath been approved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to them that love him.

Sister May, if I don't get any crowns, going HOME to GLORY is more than any human can imagine.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Romans 8:24-28 ASV  24  For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?  25  But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.  26  And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;  27  and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28  And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.
