1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NASB  13  But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.  14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.  15  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.  16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  17  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.  18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NASB  50  Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  51  Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,  52  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  53  For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.  54  But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.  55  "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O  DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"  56  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;  57  but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  58  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

I do have my coffee, but I was thinking how strange things are. We've been having high winds, thunderstorms, tornadoes, and snow storms all at once. Al Gore's global warming sure is COLD for this time of the year. In fact, we're thinking about upgrading our winter weather gear.

We haven't had any snow or ice accumulations here, but they have North of us.

I just saw the forecast for your area. They are calling for rain changing to snow on Saturday. We haven't had any snow yet. Lot's of rain though causing worse flooding than we already had. I've seen heavy flooding here but it looks like it is heading toward breaking all records. We also have possible snow by Monday or Tuesday.

Hello Pastor Roger and all,

YES, I've heard several news spots about various catastrophes in progress. Many people suffering with flood conditions are in the prayers of all Christians who know about these things.

We also have an active volcano in Alaska and other potential disasters that could happen at any time. We are living in perilous times, and only GOD knows what tomorrow will bring. As Christians, we can and should give thanks that we are already in GOD'S Hands - HIS WILL be DONE! - And it WILL BE!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Isaiah 5:20-23 NASB  20  Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!  21  Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!  22  Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine And valiant men in mixing strong drink,  23  Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!

Well as I check the volcano site, I've found there are 2 (red) in eruption stage, and in 33 (orange) stage. That number has gone up, since I posted in "Volcanic Eruptions" a few days ago. When I posted then there were only 22 volcanoes in the orange warning. So far todate, there have been 37 eruptions. Yes that number is high, for the year only a few months old.

To refresh everyone's memory;

YELLOW = Volcano is restless; eruption may occur.

ORANGE = Volcano is in eruption or eruption may occur at any time.

RED = Significant eruption is occurring or explosive eruption is expected at any time.

God is in control, and is letting everyone know!!

Now, can someone please pass the coffee..................... Wink

AND, I don't like the thoughts of heads on sticks and shrunken heads.

I think of a few heads that would look nice on a stick and all the shrunken heads are in Washington so I doubt we'd have any problem of them being on our island!

 Grin   Grin   Grin

Maybe we could just make each of our representatives carry one of those shrunken heads in their pockets as a reminder of what happens to those who SELL OUT THE PEOPLE AND RUN ROUGH-SHOD OVER THE RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION! To make things handy, the facilities for making more shrunken heads would be in Washington D.C.

For those who haven't noticed, our representatives are passing laws and bills that they KNOW ARE ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Most of them are lawyers, and they KNOW what they are doing is ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL. BINGO! - NEW SHRUNKEN HEADS!

I do have my coffee, and it sure is good. By the way, we should establish priorities for the shrunken head machine and let the people vote on who needs to be shrunken first. The few representatives who have taken a STAND AGAINST TYRANNY should be given medals for public service!

By the way, I LIKE TEA PARTIES, and I might have to start drinking tea at least once per day. I still like coffee, but I'm experiencing an URGE FOR TEA!

HELLO EVERYONE!

I've got my coffee and I'm trying to have a good time while I can. We're told that we're going to get hit with some massive storms - one right on top of another one. I can hear the beginnings of it now, and I suspect that we will lose many services. I would hope we can at least keep electricity, but that might be too much to ask.

The thunderstorms, lightning, high winds, and tornadoes are supposed to come first - AND I hear them now getting off to a roaring start. At some point, all of this is supposed to be joined with a BLIZZARD. We don't know which weather system will win the battle, but the battle might be spectacular. Oooooophs - there went the television and the lights are flickering. Oooooophs - the thunder, lightning, and winds are here.

Brothers and Sisters, there are many facing natural disasters today. Let's all keep each other in prayer.

Love In Christ,
Tom

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 NIV  50  I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  51  Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--  52  in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  53  For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.  54  When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."  55  "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"  56  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  57  But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  58  Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Brother I keep everyone I know in prayers, but you know this. But I say extra prayers for those of you in trouble with weather, sickness, etc, etc.

Now then I do have my coffee, and am doing fairly good. I've gotten back to my normal 2-3 hours of sleep, and feel like a million bucks. what was really surprising was I slept 4 hours last night. Shocked

Hello DreamWeaver,

Brother Bob, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling and sleeping better.

So far, it appears that some of the worst weather has missed us here, and there is no hint of a blizzard - at least yet. We did get what I call a medium thunderstorm, but I think that most of the worst weather hit North of us. It started just like the weatherman said it would, but it fizzled out. I'm really not disappointed. I'll just give thanks.

KEEP LOOKING UP!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. There is about 3 inches of snow covering everything. My Iris', crocus' and paperwhites were just starting to peek through. They are completely covered now so they shouldn't be damaged too much.

A good day for coffee (isn't everyday though) and some good Bible studies.

Hello Everyone,

I am enjoying a cup of coffee, and I've gotten wild enough to eat some oatmeal cookies with it. So far, I'm watching my manners and not dunking, but I am thinking about dunking.   Grin

For whatever reason, my part of SW Oklahoma was skipped by almost all the rough weather. Things are actually pretty pleasant here, but I've heard some news spots about many facing hard times. They are in my prayers.

In the meantime:  KEEP LOOKING UP! This is the only direction that's good all the time, and I'm not talking about the weather.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Good morning everyone!  I've got my coffee and I made it extra strong this morning.  It's my Friday so I need it.  However, I'm really not getting a day off this week as I'm driving a moving truck for an older lady friend.  Funny that she is afraid to drive a truck but she drives a little two-seater, red sports car!  Then on what would be my second day off I have a half day of training at our new building on the kitchen equipment and the key-maker for client rooms.  That reminds me.  I will be staying at our old mission for a couple of weeks while we're moving it.  That will be starting on April 17th, so I'll be MIA around here for a bit unless I come home on my days off and get to jump on.
My little 7 year old grandaughter has been here from Spokane this past week.  Spring break.  So my lap has been full lately.  I have been entertained with song accomanied by a toy piano also!
Now my BIG news......I finally have a car again!  WhooHoo!  I have been without wheels ever since my van broke down over a year ago and it's been hard.  But no more!  Grammy is back on the road again!

(Picture Toby Mac, Third Day, Newboys, etc. blaring out the windows!)
