It is upsetting to hear so much on the news, most of it coming from politicians, about the debate and what should happen with it. The debate is not the biggest agenda right now as most people have already made up their minds who to vote for. Yes, there is a margin of those that haven't but I doubt that the debate will be a major factor. It is the economy that needs everyones focus.

I hadn't heard about Reid having a hissy fit but that is expected from him as it is his norm when he doesn't get his way. This bailout bill is definitely a socialist move which I find surprising coming from Bush but it is completely understandable why the democrats are jumping on it so quickly. It is also understandable that the democrats are so ready to funnel money into ACORN. After all they are the ones that have been fingered for voter fraud in support of democrats, especially so for Obama. ACORN has at least four outstanding law suits against them and they have numerous court proceedings against them of which Obama is involved in at least one of those.

Yep, they're leaving politics out of this energy crisis solution. 

I sometimes wonder if this whole thing wasn't planned by the democrats that want to instill socialism on us so badly.

I've tried to listen to a few more news spots, but it's obvious that it's dirty politics. I do find it amazing that someone like Reid can bluntly LIE often with nobody holding his feet to the fire. Members of his own party wouldn't agree with some of his statements. It certainly didn't resemble a group of serious people trying their hardest to handle a crisis the best way possible. Instead, it was set-up, back-stab, finger-point, lie, manipulate, and every other dirty trick in the book. Instead of LIES, they like to call it SPIN. It's not SPIN - it's outright LIES.

It's almost impossible to believe that they tried to slip ACORN into the equation and return 20% of the money to them instead of the treasury - THE PEOPLE. I'm really surprised that our representatives have approval ratings in the low double digits. Some have proven that they will use every opportunity to RIP the people off some more. It's sickening. There is little or no confidence left - they know it - AND THEY DON'T CARE!

You're totally right, they don't care about anything except money in their pockets, forcing socialism/communism on the people ... totally breaking the back of the United States and chopping the legs out from under as well. The last I heard, Brother Bob was doing better and getting over the bee attack. You're right - it's been a couple of days since I've heard from him also. We can all offer a few more prayers for him.

In fact, I have a feeling that all Christians are going to need more frequent prayer now, regardless of health or personal circumstances. Big advances AGAINST Christians are being made every day now, so I expect that many things will be more difficult. I also feel that we will all need more encouragement in our every-day lives. Above all, we need to remember that GOD is with us.

Many Christians feel REAL JOY in JESUS CHRIST often. This is something that the lost don't understand, especially during difficult times. The Holy Bible tells us how to make our JOY more full even in this short life. A big part of our JOY is LOVE for the PRECIOUS ONE who died on the CROSS for us. This JOY and LOVE can grow in the ultimate REALITY:  We are the Children of the KING OF KINGS! All kinds of bad things can be happening in this increasingly evil world, but GOD'S Promises to HIS Children remains the same. The increasing JOY and LOVE of JESUS CHRIST also results in increasing STRENGTH in JESUS CHRIST! This can and should be a REALITY for every Christian.

Brother David, I like to think about the ULTIMATE REALITY and GOD'S Promises often. There should be a great PEACE when we know that this world isn't our HOME. Our Citizenship is in HEAVEN and our KING is ALREADY JESUS CHRIST. Our happiness is NOT determined by what men do or what world conditions are. AND, we don't depend on ourselves - WE DEPEND ON JESUS CHRIST WHO NEVER FAILS! Brother David, it's wonderful to know that our HOPE for all Eternity is SURE in JESUS CHRIST and not subject at all to the failures and chaos of men - including ourselves. All men and All world systems fail and are corrupt. Our KING is PERFECT, and our HOME is PERFECT PEACE because it doesn't depend on men AND IT ISN'T OF THIS WORLD!

Brother David, I also think about the RAPTURE every day. It's a PRECIOUS PROMISE from GOD that could happen at any moment. It makes me happy just to know that the RAPTURE IS GOING TO HAPPEN! Christians who Love CHRIST must think about these BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS PROMISES OFTEN. It's normal and healthy for us to CONCENTRATE ON CHRIST - THE CORE OF OUR LIVES - AND LONG FOR HOME! It makes me very happy that this evil and dying world IS NOT OUR HOME! Just about everything we look at in this world is increasingly evil and corrupt, BUT WE KNOW THIS WORLD IS NOT OUR HOME. Some countries are looking at major elections right now, and it's fair to say that much of our leadership IS going to fail and be known for corruption. As Christians, our LEADER is JESUS CHRIST. JESUS CHRIST is absolute PERFECTION and IS PERFECT PEACE FOR ETERNITY! Brother David, thanks for sharing some beautiful thoughts. I share those same thoughts often.

Hey!  I forgot to tell you guys my best new ever!  Probably because I've so sick the past few days.....
My little 4 year old grandson asked Jesus into his heart this weekend!  Whoo Hoo!  It was the happiest day of my life!  I am so Rapture-Ready now!

It appears there never was anything close to a deal on the bailout. UM? - One side agreed and the other one didn't - and then Reid blew his top. The democrats do still have to consult with the republicans on problems of this magnitude, and it appears they forgot this. One of the problems appears to be the democrats wanting to put 20% of the money in a corrupt housing program called Acorn. SO, we have a massive socialist program with corruption injected, and the other side just didn't buy it.

BY THE WAY, the priority is in Washington, D.C. right now - nowhere else. Forget about the debate. The WOLVES AND FOXES ARE BUSY, AND SOME OF THE ROOSTERS AREN'T GOING TO STAND FOR IT!

BLUNTLY, it appears that many in Washington, D.C. right now want to fix the RIP-OFF WITH ANOTHER RIP-OFF. I'll just say that I would rather have McCain and Palin in Washington, D.C. watching what's left of the hen house. I would at least HOPE that no portion of the 700 BILLION dollars will go to radical, anti-American groups to address this crisis.

Did y'all notice Obama's stance when he was talking. He was thinking, while answering NOT EXACTLY SURE OF HOW HE WAS ANSWERING.

McCain's answers he was relaxed while answering most of the questions, amost in a power position.
