I took a look and I see that Dreamweaver has been on one of his posting frenzies again so I thought I'd pop in here for a cup of coffee first.  Looks like I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up!  I'm also staying up to so some laundry tonight since I missed my laundry day while I was out of town!  I have absolutely nothing to wear and it kind of freaks people out if I don't put something on before leaving the house!

I guess you see why I call them characters.   Wink

Those are great and I'll take them!  This one reminds me of the time my little guy was having a bowl of cereal and wanted Barney turned on.  As the show was starting, I started dancing to the music and Matias says, "NO GRAMMY!  Don't dance!"  As I continued to dance, I asked him "Why?"  And he said......
"Because you will hurt yourself!"

I've got the twins today and it's hard to keep up with them especially with this knee acting up but I'm still enjoying the time with them. Now for some time for some coffee?

Well I'm off to work.  Enjoy your twins PR.  My guy just called to chat.  It never fails, as soon as we start talking he'll say, "Don't hang up Grammy, I have to ask mommy something."  Then I'll hear him ask when is he going to Grammy's house!!

Have a great day in the Lord, all!

It's time for a cup of coffee, and I plan to finish that cup of coffee unless a meteor hits in the general vicinity. If the meteor ruins my cup of coffee, I won't be happy.   Wink

Hello Pastor Roger,

I envy you and look forward to a time soon when my grandkids are close enough for me to be able to see them often. Just watching all their energy and listening to them laugh is good medicine. They are truly GIFTS from GOD and I give thanks for them. It's nice to just stop thinking about all of the world's problems and enjoy spending some quality time with the grandkids.

Yes, it was a great time and I'm sure that you will enjoy your time with the grandkids just as much as I did. It was quite tiring though. My wife and I both took the afternoon sleeping after they went home. As tiring as it is we still miss them a lot when they aren't here.

I've been told that just adds to the flavor of the next cup of coffee.  Cheesy Cheesy My coffee never gets the chance to grow fur though.

I think that I'll pass on that cup of coffee. Speaking of that, it is time for another cup of coffee. By the way, coffee never lasts long enough in this house to grow fur. However, me thinks there is something suspicious about this cup of coffee. It's getting more and more expensive at the grocery store, especially on meat - SO, maybe we should wait and see what develops in this coffee cup. Maybe it's edible.   Grin

I think it is time for another cup of coffee.  My doctor now says, I can now drink 6 cups a day. So far, I've only had time for two cups. Cry

But I'll make up for that tonight, the other four cups............... Grin Grin Grin Grin

Hot coffee is heartwarming

Published Date: 24 October 2008
By John von Radowitz
IT MAY be no coincidence that so many relationships start with an invitation to "come in for a coffee", research suggests. A study has found that merely holding a hot coffee cup leads a person to see others as more generous and caring.

Researchers also discovered that warm hands make people more inclined to give than to receive.

They believe descriptions of "warm" or "cold" people tap into sensations and experiences dating back to an infant's first contact with its mother.

Psychologists in the US carried out the experiment to test the hypothesis. First, a number of unsuspecting students were casually asked to hold either a cup of hot coffee or iced coffee, while a researcher wrote down information.

The students were then asked to assess the personality traits of an individual whose details they were given. Those who had held the hot cup judged the target person to be significantly "warmer" – more generous and caring – than those who had held the cold cup.

In the second part of the study, volunteers were asked to "product test" either icy or hot therapeutic pads used for pain management.

After holding the pads for a short time, they were allowed to choose either a gift for themselves or for a friend as a reward for taking part in the study.

Those who held the hot pad were more likely to want a gift for a friend, while those with cold hands were inclined to choose a reward for themselves.

Imaging studies suggested that the same part of the brain processes both physical and psychological warmth information, said the scientists.

I do find this funny also. Scientists are always looking for the answer in the wrong places. The physical warmth and spiritual warmth has nothing to do with each other and often this sort of research comes out according to what the scientist want them to show. It is the warmth of the heart that matters not the warmth of the hands. I have known many warm hearted people that have some very cold hands and many of them are soda only drinkers.
