To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God.

You all have made a complete travesty of   MY

jail thread.

Maybe I can help.

I hereby make a citizen's arrest of sincereheart, shylyyne, and MsGuidedAngel for making a mockery of the Jail thread. The judge (BEP) will decide whether or not to hear all three cases at the same time or at different times.

I will be the prosecution and I select Brother Love as my lawyer (it'll help him get more posts  Grin). The defendants will have to find some kind soul to represent them.

Goofy time:
I'd be glad to be part of the defense team...hey...i believe the Scripture "If God be for us, who can stand against us" That's the best defense there is  Tongue

Ok Serious time: So Jesus...please help those in bondage right now...get them out of jail as seeing you have paid the price in full...Lord for those captive, set them free...this is my defense.

Care to stand against it?

Just a few things to think about and ponder. God Bless!

Excuse me for not really posting these threads any more. Brother Love has made me feel like, having a sense of humor is a sin. That is why I haven't really been posting in fellowship lately.

Go in peace with God.

Ah! The key to that is being under man's conviction and not God's!  Wink Here's a little ditty that you can sing for the times when the opinions of mere men weigh you down, as a reminder to follow the Lord and never man!:

They go walkin' into church every Sunday morning
They the self-appointed sin patrol
Well, they whisper and they gossip behind the back
Of anybody they can't control
See that girl in the choir, she's got evil desires
She must be drinking from the devil's well
She's a downright disgrace with that paint on her face
She looks just like a Jezebel
And they're running around putting everybody down
What are you trying to do
You need to pick up the Book and take another look
'Cause brother I've got news for you
You know Jesus was sent with a new covenant
And He even died for you
New Pharisees
Like a fatal disease
Always flapping your jaws
Trying to live by the law
You see that boy over there with that long shaggy hair
Ought to be ashamed of hisself
He wearin' hip-hop clothes, got a ring in his nose
Don't he know he goin' straight to hell
And then yesterday mornin'
Me and sister Johnson
Were talkin' on the party line
She said that Deacon Brown
Was havin' dinner downtown
Somebody seen him with a glass of wine
And you act so righteous and you look so pious
You always pay your tithe
But there's a rock in your heart
And a fire on your tongue
And there ain't no love in your eyes

Bad news is begotten and the devil is smilin'
You gossip and you criticize
Well, you can't get by the law
So quit flapping your jaws
New Pharisees
Yes, you're a lot like me

~Charlie Daniels
