Blessed are the meek. Matt. 5:5

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill. Ecc. 9:11

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Prov. 16:9

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God. Psa. 123:1, 2

Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. Psa. 143:8

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5

When he, the Spirit of truth, is come he will guide you into all truth. John 16:13

O Lord God, ... with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. II Sam. 7:29

Thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever. I Chron. 17:27

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Prov. 10:22

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35

When thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the fame, the blind: and thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Luke 14:13, 14

Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Matt. 25:34-36

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. Psa. 41:1

The LORD God is a sun and shield. Psa. 84:11

I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Heb. 13:6

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom. 8:35, 37

Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:4, 5

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven. Matt. 5:10-12

None of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy. Acts 20:24

I will speak of thy testimonies ... before kings, and will not be ashamed. Psa. 119:46

He set my feet upon a rock. Psa. 40:2

That Rock was Christ. I Cor. 10:4

Simon Peter ... said, Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God. Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matt. 16:16, 18

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Full assurance of faith. Faith without wavering. Heb. 10:22, 23

Faith, nothing wavering. . . . He that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:6

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thou art a God ready to pardons gracious and merciful. Neh. 9:17

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Pet. 3:9

The longsuffering of our Lord is salvation. II Pet. 3:15

For this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. I Tim. 1:16

Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our earning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Rom. 15:4

Despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Rom. 2:4

Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Joel 2:13

The words of the Lord are pure words. Psa. 12:6

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. Psa. 119:140

The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psa. 19:8

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Prov. 30:5, 6

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. Psa. 119:11, 15

Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil. 4:8

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. I Pet. 2:2

We are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. II Cor. 2:17

Nor handling the word of God deceitfully. II Cor. 4:2

The whole family in heaven and earth. Eph. 3:15

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Eph. 4:6

Ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal. 3:26

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him. Eph. 1:10

He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Heb. 2:11

Behold my mother and my brethren! Whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matt. 12:49, 50

Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father. John 20:17

I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: ... and white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Rev. 6:9-11

That they without us should not be made perfect. Heb. 11:40

After this manner ... pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven. Matt. 6:9

Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father. John 17:1

My Father, and your Father. John 20:17

Ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal. 3:26

Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Rom. 8:15, 16

Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son. Gal. 4:6, 7

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23, 24

I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. II Cor. 6:17, 18

Be not far from me; for trouble is near. Psa. 22:11

How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? Psa. 13:1, 2

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18

Lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world. Matt. 28:20

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psa. 46:1

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. Psa. 62:1

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. Psa. 62:5

I saw ... the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone. Isa. 6:1-3, 5

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. II Cor. 5:19

It pleased the Father, that in him should all fulness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself. Col. 1:19, 20

Thy kingdom come. Matt. 6:10

In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Dan. 2:44

A stone . . . cut out without hands. Dan. 2:34

Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zech. 4:6

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17:20, 21

Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. Mark 4:11, 26, 27, 29

Be ye ... ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh. Matt. 24:44

The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. Rev. 22:17

From the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard. Dan. 10:12

Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Isa. 57:15

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Psa. 51:17

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Psa. 138:6

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. I Pet. 5:6

God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. James 4:6, 7

Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Psa. 86:5-7

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matt. 6:10

Understanding what the will of the Lord is. Eph. 5:17

It is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Matt. 18:14

This is the will of God, even your sanctification. I Thess. 4:3

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. I Pet. 4:2

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth: wherefore lay apart all filthiness. James 1:18, 21

Be ye holy; for I am holy. I Pet. 1:16

[Jesus] said, Whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. Mark 3:34, 35

Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock. Matt. 7:24, 25

The world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. I John 2:17

Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. Rom. 14:9

It pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isa. 53:10, 11

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luke 24:26

We thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. II Cor. 5:14, 15

Let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God. I Pet. 1:20, 21
