Let a man set his heart only

on doing the will of God

and he is instantly free.

No one can hinder him.

The invasion of the Church by the world is a menace to the extension of Christ's Kingdom. In all ages conformity to the world by Christians has resulted in lack of spiritual life and a consequent lack of spiritual vision and enterprise. A secularized or self-centered Church can never evangelize the world." — John R. Mott

If you are a Christian, you can expect folks to criticize, but you ought to live so nobody will believe them.    Anonymous

Greeting in His matchless grace.

It is great that salvation is received, not achieved.

It is His gift to us, a gift we could never earn.

Praise Him for His gift of salvation.

We ought not to pray supposing that if only we pray hard enough
we shall get whatever we ask for. Most of the bitterness of
unanswered prayer comes from the assumption that God will
juggle His universe to give us what we plead for if we plead long
enough. On the other hand, many things can happen, both within
and outside of the individual, in response to prayer without any
setting aside of God's orderly processes.

Romans 6:23 " The wages of sin is death."

We look at that in regards on how it applies to ourselves which we should, but have we ever stopped to ponder that those wages that sin earned DEATH Our Lord and Savior took upon Himself? Yes the wages of sin is death... We were or are dead people already...Jesus Our Lord is the one who paid the wages of what we earned...."The wages of sin is death...His death, have you ever thought of it that way?

Those wages cleared the deck for all of us to receive the resurrected life He offers when we enter by belief.

Romans 6:23 "....but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

This is the only Gospel that saves......Amen

Are you sinking into the mire of discouragement? Allow God to lift you out and set your feet on the Rock - He Himself wants to be your solid footing.  (Psalm 40:2) As you choose to shift your focus away from disappointments and onto your heavenly Father, you will begin to notice a positive change in your outlook on life.

We can disobey God if we choose, and it will bring immediate relief to the situation but we shall be a grief to our Lord. Whereas if we obey God, He will look after those who have been pressed into the consequences of our obedience. We have simply to obey and to leave all consequences with Him. Beware of the inclination to dictate to God as to what you will allow to happen if you obey Him.

Hello Haley123,

WELCOME!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Christians Unite.

I was just thinking that we also suffer misery with sin. JESUS CHRIST is the answer.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Psalms 104:33-34 NASB  I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.  Let my meditation be pleasing to Him; As for me, I shall be glad in the LORD.

Thanks for the welcome Blackeyedpeas!

A.W. Tozer....

There is no doubt that the possessive clinging to things is one of the most harmful habits in life. Because it is so natural, it is rarely recognized for the evil that it is. But it's outworking is tragic. This ancient curse will not go out painlessly. The tough old miser within us will not lie down and die obedient to our command. He must be torn out of our hearts like a plant from the soil: he must be extracted in blood and agony like a tooth from the jaw. He must be expelled from our souls in violence as CChrist expelled the money changers from the temple.

Without a doubt there is no greater, or more valuable possession that we can hold in our hands than the word of God - The Holy Bible. And while we hold, and read, and study God's word, we have no greater need than to know how to handle it as God has intended that we handle it. For only then will we handle the Bible properly. and onIy then will it be able to effectually and fully function for us as "the word of truth' that it is, and thereby be able to accomplish what God has designed it to accomplish in our minds, and hearts, and lives.

The little troubles and worries
of life may be
as stumbling blocks in our way,
or we may make them stepping
stones to a nobler character
and to Heaven.
Troubles are often the tools
by which God fashions us for better things.
