Direct my thought, words and work, wash away my sins in the immaculate Blood of The Lamb, and purge my heart by Thy Holy Spirit .
Daily frame me more and more into the likeness of Thy Son Jesus Christ.

While we give praise to God, the Supreme disposer of all events, for His interposition on our behalf, let us guard against the dangerouse error of trusting in or boasting of an arm of flesh...

If your case is just, if your principles are pure, and if your conduct is prudent, you need not fear the multitude of opposing hosts.

Prayer covers the whole of man's life. There is no thought, feeling, yearning, or desire, however low, trifling, or vulgar we may deem it, which, if it affects our real interest or happiness, we may not lay before God..... The whole burden of the whole life of every man may be rolled on to God and not weary Him, though it has wearied the man.

And go not only to those that need you, but to those that need you most…It is not your business to preach so many times, and to take care of this or that society; but to save as many souls as you can; to bring as many sinners as you possibly can to repentance." —  John Wesley

And we ourselves are 'saved to save'-we are made to give-to let everything go if only we may have more to give. Adversity is not simply a tool. Its God's most effective tool for the
advancement of our spiritual lives. The circumstances and events that we
see as setbacks are oftentimes the very things that launch us into
periods of intense spiritual growth. Once we begin to understand this,
and accept it as a spiritual fact of life, adversity becomes easier to
bear.----Charles Stanley

Renewing the mind is a little like refinishing furniture.  It is a two stage
process.  It involves taking off the old and replacing it with the new.
The old is the lies you have learned to tell or were taught by those around
you.  It is the attitude and ideas that have become a part of your thinking
but do not reflect reality.  The new is the truth.  To renew your mind is to
involve yourself in the process of allowing God to bring to the surface
the lies you have mistakenly accepted and replace them with the truth.
To the degree that you do this, your behavior will be transformed.

We ought not to pray supposing that if only we pray hard enough
we shall get whatever we ask for. Most of the bitterness of
unanswered prayer comes from the assumption that God will
juggle His universe to give us what we plead for if we plead long
enough. On the other hand, many things can happen, both within
and outside of the individual, in response to prayer without any
setting aside of God's orderly processes.

Romans 6:23 " The wages of sin is death."

We look at that in regards on how it applies to ourselves which we should, but have we ever stopped to ponder that those wages that sin earned DEATH Our Lord and Savior took upon Himself? Yes the wages of sin is death... We were or are dead people already...Jesus Our Lord is the one who paid the wages of what we earned...."The wages of sin is death...His death, have you ever thought of it that way?

Those wages cleared the deck for all of us to receive the resurrected life He offers when we enter by belief.

There is no doubt that the possessive clinging to things is one of the most harmful habits in life. Because it is so natural, it is rarely recognized for the evil that it is. But it's outworking is tragic. This ancient curse will not go out painlessly. The tough old miser within us will not lie down and die obedient to our command. He must be torn out of our hearts like a plant from the soil: he must be extracted in blood and agony like a tooth from the jaw. He must be expelled from our souls in violence as CChrist expelled the money changers from the temple.

Without a doubt there is no greater, or more valuable possession that we can hold in our hands than the word of God - The Holy Bible. And while we hold, and read, and study God's word, we have no greater need than to know how to handle it as God has intended that we handle it. For only then will we handle the Bible properly. and onIy then will it be able to effectually and fully function for us as "the word of truth' that it is, and thereby be able to accomplish what God has designed it to accomplish in our minds, and hearts, and lives.

If you are, then you are showing a lack of trust in God's ability to take care of you and all that you are going through. Which way do you think is better? If you want to discover the "gold" in Scripture, take your time. If you are accustomed to reading through the Bible in a year, you will have to learn to read slowly. The goal isn't to read the Bible but to let the Bible read you. That doesn't normally happen when we rush through the pages.

Madame Guyon described it this way:

"If you read quickly, it will benefit you little. You will be like a bee that merely skims the surface of a flower. Instead, in this new way of reading with prayer, you must become as the bee who penetrates into the depths of the flower. You plunge deeply within to remove its deepest nectar".

HONORED   GUESTS

Some feel honored when they are put at the table where the best linen and china are laid. But the ones who are really honored are those who are set at a table where the dishes don't match and the eating utensils are recruited from the kitchen. They are the true and trusted friends who do not need to be complimented or impressed and who would never think of criticizing. And, therefore, the most honored.        Author  Unknown

AMEN SISTER!

Our part of the world is definitely a mission field, and it needs just as much attention as any other part of the world now. We simply need to pray, pray some more, yield to GOD, and do whatever HE leads us to do. Our trust will be in GOD and HIS WORD!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Hebrews 10:19-23 NASB  Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Another big AMEN! Maryjane! All too often people are concerned about self this and self that, leaving out the important things that the Lord has set before us to do. If we are truly born again we should put such selfishness aside, serve the Lord and do all we can to lead the lost to Him. Salvation is not just about self but rather about all that are lost. All of this world is a mission field and we all need to go to the lost as the Lord leads us.

I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Psalms 40:1-4.

Freedom In Trusting God

God can be trusted no matter what. We should have an attitude of complete faith, for this pleases God.

God as our trust because He is not a man that He can lie. He is the God of integrity, the only One who can be relied upon at all times. "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8 ). We are let down so many times because we place our trust in man when God is the only One who is faithful. "If we are faithless, he will remain faithful" (II Timothy 2:13, NIV). Let go and place all of your trust in God; He will never fail you. "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)" (Hebrews 10:23).

This is from one of my favorite books, The Velveteen Rabbit.
"What is REAL?" asked the Rabbit one day. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick out handle?"
"Real isn't how your made," said the Skin Horse, "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real. It doesn't happen all at once. You become. It takes a long time. Generally, by the time you are REAL, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out, and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are REAL you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do well anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. Glory be to God for fulfilling His promises in raising Jesus Christ from the dead.

Nevertheless, does His resurrection have any meaning to you?

Has it had any impact in your life?

Have you experienced the work of salvation that Jesus Christ perfected in His resurrection?

Commemorating this historic event should not be on a special day each year alone,

or even on every first day of the week only,

but on every day of our lives.

Christ's death on the cross included a sacrifice for all our sins, past, present, and future. Every sin that you will ever commit has already been paid for. All of our sins were future when Christ died two thousand years ago. There is no sin that you will ever commit that has not already been included in Christ's death.

And while we hold, and read, and study God's word, we have no greater need than to know how to handle it as God has intended that we handle it. In waiting upon God, the first thought is of the God upon whom we wait. We enter  His presence and feel we need just to be quiet, so that He, as God, can  overshadow us with Himself. Just be still before Him, and allow His Holy Spirit to  waken and stir up in your soul the childlike disposition of absolute dependence  and confident expectation. Wait upon God as a Living Being, as the Living God,  who notices you and is longing to fill you with His salvation. Wait on God till you know you have met Him; prayer will then become so different.

A Grace Disguised

Belief in Gods sovereignty gives us the security of knowing God is incontrol, but it also assigns us the responsibility of using our freedom to make wise choices and to remain faithful to Him. It assures us that God is transcendent without canceling out the important role we play. God's sovereignty allows us to believe that He is bigger than our circumstances and will make our lives better through those circumstances.

Since we are born spiritually dead, our greatest need is spiritual life. We received physical life and psychological life and a spirit which was dead to God by our human birth. This physical birth gave us temporary human life. Unfortunately, every human will die. To escape this living death condition, we must be born again into a spiritual life by a spiritual rebirth (John 3:3).

Romans 5:10  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

This is the kind of relationship God wants with you!

The notion that God recreated you in Christ to get more work out of you is such a low view of our Father. God wants you to adopt Paul's life verse: "that I may know Him [Christ]" (Philippians 3:10). As you pursue that goal, spiritual fruit will begin to drop off of you to the glory of Christ. Men asked Jesus, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent" (John 6:28,29).

Christ is our life (see Acts 17:28; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 1:21; Colossians 3:4). To become obsessed with anything other than Him is idolatry, even if that other obsession is religious rules. Perhaps the greatest danger in the American church is that we have lost our focus on Jesus Christ and have been focusing more on "Christian values" which is merely morality by another name.

I have learned over these many years of ministry to be very leery of
anything that is embraced by the world and becomes wildly popular by the
masses.  The fact is, the pure Truth of the Bible is NOT something this lost
world gravitates to.  They want something that feels good, makes them happy
for a moment, helps them through a difficult time, without making any real
commitment or sacrifice in return.  That is why the spiritual crack of our
day, these New Age teachings are so popular.  Sacrifice and service don't
sell, success and satisfaction does!!!

Without a doubt there is no greater, or more valuable possession that we can hold in our hands than the word of God - The Holy Bible. And while we hold, and read, and study God's word, we have no greater need than to know how to handle it as God has intended that we handle it. For only then will we handle the Bible properly. and only then will it be able to effectually and fully function for us as "the word of truth' that it is, and thereby be able to accomplish what God has designed it to accomplish in our minds, and hearts, and lives.

We can either choose to grovel in our own self-pity
or rejoice
in whatever state we may find ourselves.

From Grace And Truth Ministries

Romans 8:1-39 ASV  There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.  2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.  3  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  4  that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  5  For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  6  For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:  7  because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:  8  and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  9  But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  10  And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness.  11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.  12  So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh:  13  for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  15  For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  16  The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:  17  and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him.  18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward.  19  For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God.  20  For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope  21  that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.  22  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.  23  And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.  24  For in hope were we saved: but hope that is seen is not hope: for who hopeth for that which he seeth?  25  But if we hope for that which we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.  26  And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;  27  and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28  And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose.  29  For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:  30  and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.  31  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?  32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?  33  Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth;  34  who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36  Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,  39  nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 15:13-17 ASV  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.  14  And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.  15  But I write the more boldly unto you in some measure, as putting you again in remembrance, because of the grace that was given me of God,  16  that I should be a minister of Christ Jesus unto the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.  17  I have therefore my glorifying in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.

Ephesians 6:10-20 ASV  Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.  11  Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  12  For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  13  Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.  14  Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  15  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  16  withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.  17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  18  with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,  19  and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,  20  for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Hi Paris,  my latest, and most likely, last moment of addressing members of the Church, the Body of Christ.  It has become an interesting experience to observe how fellow-saints in Christ Jesus, are becoming more lackadaisical, and seem to care less about their "real" relationship with God, through our fellowship with His Son. They seemed to be more interested in their "church," rather than The Church, and the time within their "denomination," rather that holding onto the ONENESS of the Spirit.  (But you already knew that).

“Friend, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.  And what one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government can’t give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody. And when half of the people get the idea they don’t have to work because the other half’s going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebody’s going to get what I work for. Should this Inspirational be a blessing and encouragement to you, why not send to a friend, coworker or, to your loved one. The Word of God is so needed in our troubled USA.  We are loosing a great many of our privileges the founding fathers of our great county have provided us by the Constitution of America. There is no country in the world as great as America. Let's stand up and take back our roots.

Love The Truth

I love the truth.
I hate a lie.
Living a lie, we will die.
Jesus gave us the word of God.
The word of God is truth.
The word of God has set us free.
I was once blind, now I see.
For the grace of God has saved us.
I praise the Lord for this grace he hath set us free.

The  quote of the month is by Jay Leno:

'With  hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up  the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

Thanksgiving is....

Thanksgiving is a
Time of gratitude to God,
Our Creator and Provider,
Whose guidance and care
Go before us...
And whose love
Is with us forever.

Thanksgiving is a time
To reflect on the changes,
To remember that we, too,
Grow and change
From one season of life to another.

Thanksgiving is a time
Of changing seasons,
When leaves turn golden
In Autumn's wake
And apples are crisp
In the first chill breezes of fall.

Let us remember the true meaning
Of Thanksgiving.
As we see the beauty
Of Autumn, let us acknowledge
The many blessings
Which are ours...
Let us think of our families
And friends..
And let us give thanks in our hearts.

Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.

God is the great reality. His resources are available and endless.
His promises are real and glorious, beyond our wildest dreams.

This moment is all you're guaranteed, tomorrow may never come ...... (in this world) ...... so live it up, ..... love it up .... laugh it up ........ and put Jesus at the very center of every moment ....... and enjoy.

This is the abundant life God was talking about ........ seize it ....... sufficient to each day are it's troubles ..... we can either live in those troubles or by faith in God ........ cast all our cares on Him and live in His joy ............... you choose.

Christ's death on the cross included a sacrifice for all our sins, past, present, and future. Every sin that you will ever commit has already been paid for. All of our sins were future when Christ died two thousand years ago. There is no sin that you will ever commit that has not already been included in Christ's death.

Dear Lord of light, I praise You for bringing me out of darkness into Your gracious light. Grant me grace to proclaim Your excellencies. Shine Your light into the hearts I hope to reach. Grant them the miracle of resting and trusting you in your high calling of us, in the Lord Jesus we pray. Amen.

The will of God will never take you, where the grace of God cannot keep you, where the arms of God cannot support you, where the riches of God cannot supply your needs, where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you, where the Spirit of God cannot work through you, where the wisdom of God cannot teach you, where the army of God cannot protect you, where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you, where the love of God cannot enfold you, where the mercies of God cannot sustain you, where the peace of God cannot calm your fears, where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you, where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears, where the Word of God cannot feed you, where the miracles of God cannot be done for you, where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

Everything happens for a purpose.
We may not see the wisdom of it all NOW, but trust and believe
in the Lord that everything is for the best.

Our worst days are never so bad
that you are beyond the reach of God's grace.
And your best days are
never so good that you are beyond the need of God's grace.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, my victorious Lord, how often I attempt to be the one who directs my life. I confess that when I lead, victory is not the result. Lord, help me to count on You to lead me in Your triumph, even in the difficult situations that I frequently encounter. In Your triumphant name, I pray, Amen.
