Greetings in His Name! One of the keys to the Christian life is to realize that it cannot be lived in our own power. It is a dependent life--dependent on His Holy Spirit working in us. May His power flow through you and use you this week.
Eph 6:10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might"

This is from one of my favorite books, The Velveteen Rabbit. "What is REAL?" asked the Rabbit one day. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick out handle?" "Real isn't how your made," said the Skin Horse, "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real. It doesn't happen all at once. You become. It takes a long time. Generally, by the time you are REAL, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out, and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are REAL you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do well anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway..."

Glory be to God for fulfilling His promises in raising Jesus Christ from the dead.
Nevertheless, does His resurrection have any meaning to you?
Has it had any impact in your life?
Have you experienced the work of salvation that Jesus Christ perfected in His resurrection?
Commemorating this historic event should not be on a special day each year alone,
or even on every first day of the week only,
but on every day of our lives.

Now blest in heavenly places In Christ at God's right hand; And filled with all His fulness Complete in Him to stand. Sing to the praise and glory Of Him Who thus hath shown Such gracious love and mercy, To call us for His own.

"There are many dangerous trends pulling folks away from true Bible Christianity. Many of the newer philosophies of ministry employ methods that are wholly carnal. Some have adopted objectives that have not one line of Scripture to support them, and some employ conduct that differs little from the world. "
----Tozer (My Note: This is so sad but completely true.)

LORD, KEEP US ON THE NARROW WAY,
WHERE NO CORRUPTION, WOE, NOR EVIL CAN DESTROY,
WHERE YOUR RIGHT HAND DEFEATS THE WORLDLY FRAY
TO LEAD US INTO YOUR ENTERNAL JOY.

If we would see ourselves as God sees us --- in all the perfections of the Beloved in Whom we have been engraced so fully and loved so deeply - we would reflect more of what we have been made to be "in Christ". Keith McDonald

Freedom In Trusting God God can be trusted no matter what. We should have an attitude of complete faith, for this pleases God.
God as our trust because He is not a man that He can lie. He is the God of integrity, the only One who can be relied upon at all times. "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8 ). We are let down so many times because we place our trust in man when God is the only One who is faithful. "If we are faithless, he will remain faithful" (II Timothy 2:13, NIV). Let go and place all of your trust in God; He will never fail you. "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)" (Hebrews 10:23).

Today, many of us own Bibles, but are we changed by the truths found there? We are called to read, hear, and obey His Word. It should cause us to take immediate action to bring our lives into harmony with God’s desires. —Marvin Williams

Greetings in His name. As I look in the culture of today, I find little righteousness, peace, or joy. Today, we as believers have the responsibility as well as the privilege to display these virtues to others around us. May this be a week in which each of us make an effort to display righteousness, peace, and joy in our own world. Pastor Jim

LET OUR OBJECT BE OUR COUNTRY, OUR WHOLE COUNTRY, AND NOTHING BUT OUR COUNTRY. AND BY THE BLESSING OF GOD, MAY THAT COUNTRY ITS SELF BECOME A VAST AND SPLENDID MONUMENT, NOT OF OPPRESSION AND TERROR, BUT OF WISDOM, OF PEACE, AND OF LIBERTY, UPON WHICH THE WORLD MAY GAZE WITH ADMIRATION FOREVER.

Stop worrying, God will provide what you need in ways that amaze you. If you're His child you're not the victim of circumstances. Your future is not in the hands of people, it's in the hands of God. And what He owns, He takes care of! -- Bob Gass
Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
