WHEN I WOULD BEGET CONTENT AND INCREASE CONFIDENCE IN THE POWER AND WISDOM AND PROVIDENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD, I WILL WALK THE MEADOWS BY SOME GLIDING STREAM, AND THERE CONTEMPLATE THE LILIES THAT TAKE NO CARE, AND THOSE VERY MANY OTHER LITTLE CREATURES THAT ARE NOT ONLY CREATED, BUT FED BY THE GOODNESS OF THE GOD OF NATURE----AND THEREFORE MUST TRUST IN HIM.

The sooner we get over the illusion that more stuff means more peace, happiness, and self-fulfillment, the better off we will be. And thenthe more able we will be to find the longed-for peace and happiness — the true “good life” — that only Jesus can provide.

Not until we have become humble and teachable, standing in awe of God's      holiness and sovereignty.... acknowledging our own littleness, distrusting our own thoughts, and willing to have our minds turned upside  down, can divine wisdom become ours.

What is that thing that is so precious to you? Whose purpose is it? God gave you the thing so that you can use it to worship Him and make it be of benefit to the humanity. No matter how precious and honorable the thing may be, it is not given only for your selfish purpose. It is given for the purpose of worshiping God and service to the humanity.

At times all of us experience fear. But don't allow fear to keep you from being used by God. He has kept you thus far; trust Him for the rest of the way.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK, PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS
and
RESPECT OUR VETERANS WITH REMEMBRANCE

Greetings in His matchless Grace!   Memorial day week.  A time to think of those of our loved ones that paid the price.  A time of hope, knowing that in Christ we will be united with them.  Thus it is a week of expectation.  He lives and is coming again for those of us which are alive and remain.  Praise His name.

If we look at life through the lens of our powerful and good God,
we’ll trust Him instead of fearfully worrying. When our perspective is right, we can see God and His faithful provision. — Anne Cetas

Christ's death on the cross included a sacrifice for all our sins, past, present, and future. Every sin that you will ever commit has already been paid for. All of our sins were future when Christ died two thousand years ago. There is no sin that you will ever commit that has not already been included in Christ's death.

Without a doubt there is no greater, or more valuable possession that we can hold in our hands than the word of God - The Holy Bible. And while we hold, and read, and study God's word, we have no greater need than to know how to handle it as God has intended that we handle it. For only then will we handle the Bible properly. and only then will it be able to effectually and fully function for us as "the word of truth' that it is, and thereby be able to accomplish what God has designed it to accomplish in our minds, and hearts, and lives.

Perhaps one reason God delays His answers to our prayers is because He knows we need to be with Him
far more than we need the things we ask of Him.

As believers, we are in CHRIST!

CHRIST is alive.

Our life is in HIM.

Because CHRIST is Eternal,

We are Eternal in HIM!

CHRIST is our LIFE!

"There are many dangerous trends pulling folks away from true Bible Christianity. Many of the newer philosophies of ministry employ methods that are wholly carnal. Some have adopted objectives that have not one line of Scripture to support them, and some employ conduct that differs little from the world. "

We have so much to be thankful for every day.
God continually provides for all our needs. So let’s make Thanksgiving a year-long celebration.
