Mecca Proposed as Greenwich Replacement for World's Time...

Clearly the goal of Islam is to have a global Caliphate = muslims will conquer and rule the world. I and many others have chronicled the overt and stealth invasion of the UK, Europe and elsewhere by muslims and the atrocities committed in the name of Islam. A relatively new muslim movement is to create an internationally enforceable "legal instrument" by which muslims can stifle any type of free speech, in the Western world, against Islam. Currently muslims are being encouraged to file lawsuits against anyone they deem to be offensive to Islam -- often using ludicrous "Human Rights Commissions" to do the dirty work as in the famous Ezra Levant case.

Now muslim "scholars" have decided there is yet another way to implement their Global Caliphate. Insisting that "Mecca is the center of the world's land" they want to change the reference point for world time from Greenwich, England (Greenwich Mean Time) to.............where else but Mecca. They have even invented the Mecca watch. Muslims balk at what they feel is the Western world inflicting Greenwich upon them. In fact these inbred thinking "scholars" even want to discard Western maps.

For those who continue to keep their heads in the sand and refuse to believe in muslim's desire for world domination - it is past time (Greenwich Mean Time) for such dhimwits to wake up.

Mecca should become core to measure time zones: scholars

SPEAKERS at a Doha conference on Mecca's importance said that the holy city, not Greenwich, should become the reference point for world time, reigniting an old controversy that started some four decades ago.
A group of Islamic scholars presented on Saturday “scientific evidence” to prove that Mecca was the core of that the zero longitude passes through the holy city and not through Greenwich in the UK.
Greenwich in England has been the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884. GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time because it is measured from the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Greenwich is the place from where all time zones are measured.
In a clear support for the call, Islamic scholar Yousuf al-Qaradawi said Islam, “unlike other religions, never contradicted science”.
The participants recommended the unification of the time in the Arab world to the time in Mecca instead of Greenwich. They also called the Arab governments to abandon the new world maps “because they are forged to serve Western interests.”
They also demanded that buildings in the Arab world be directed towards Qibla.
The gathering also urged to organise conferences to promote the idea of “Mecca as the centre of the world's land” and distribution of CDs to support it.
The conference was organised to introduce Saat Makkah (the watch of Mecca). The inventor of the clock, Yasin a-Shouk, said it runs anti-clockwise in the direction of Tawaf, the rotation around Kaaba.
The Switzerland-based award-winning inventor of Palestinian origin said that his invention met a lot of opposition and it took him four years to win the patent.
The moderator of the event, Rabaa Hamo, who is also the wife of the watch's inventor, said “the West imposed on us the invisible Greenwich line” as the world's reference time.
She hoped that an Islamic country would adopt the project to strengthen the belief that Mecca was the core of the world, not theoretically but practically.
Islamic scholar, Zaghloul al-Najjar, said that the West did not like the scientific proofs that “Mecca was located in the centre of our planet, but nevertheless we will go on our research to establish it as a truth”.
Other speakers talked about the privileges of Mecca quoting verses from the Holy Qur'an and the sayings of Prophet Muhammad.

Will Muslim chaplains radicalize U.S. troops?
Congresswoman calls for probe
of all green-lighted by terrorist

Fearing the radicalization of U.S. soldiers, the leader of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus has called for a government investigation of all Muslim chaplains serving in the U.S. military to determine whether they have ties to radical Islamic groups.

Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., says the Pentagon has failed to properly vet the Muslim chaplains ministering to U.S forces since it first set up its Muslim chaplain corps 15 years ago.

The military chaplains were approved by a convicted terrorism supporter who at the time headed the American Muslim Council. Abdurahman Alamoudi is now serving a 23-year prison sentence on federal terrorism charges.

The U.S. Department of Treasury in 2005 announced in a statement that "Alamoudi had a close relationship with al-Qaida and had raised money for al-Qaida in the United States."

According to Myrick, the chaplains he sponsored have not been re-screened since his sentencing.

"Alamoudi placed Muslim chaplains throughout the military. He is now in jail on charges of terrorism," she said. "The chaplains to my knowledge are still in their current positions."

Myrick added that "while there may be nothing wrong with the Muslim chaplains that he approved, it seems logical that our government would re-check the chaplains who were approved by a convicted terrorist."

In January 2007, Myrick founded the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus. The bipartisan group, with more than 120 members and headed by Myrick and Reps. Bud Cramer, D-Ala., and Jane Harman, D-Calif., was formed to allow members to meet with terrorism experts and become educated about the dangers radical Islamists pose to America.

The caucus meets twice a month and hears from terrorism experts, including Ken Pollack, Steve Emerson, Walid Phares, Gen. Anthony Zinni and Lawrence Wright.

Myrick, who is up for re-election this year, has been working on numerous issues related to radical Islamists, such as writing letters to the Department of Justice and FBI taking issue with their outreach to radical groups, as well as looking into similar issues at the Pentagon.

Myrick's call for a formal probe of Muslim chaplains coincides with her release of an ambitious 10-point legislative agenda, dubbed "Wake Up America." She says Washington is not doing enough to protect the nation from the threat from radical Islam, and the public as a consequence has grown complacent.

"People would rather watch 'American Idol,'" she said.

She also is calling for a government investigation of all U.S. prison chaplains who were approved by Alamoudi. At least one Muslim cleric who contracted with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in New York had supported al-Qaida and the 9/11 hijackings.

The FBI says U.S. prisons are a top recruiting ground for al-Qaida now that it is trying to lower its Arab profile and recruit American converts.

In addition, the congresswoman will ask the Government Accountability Office to investigate the selection process of Arabic translators hired by the FBI and Department of Defense.

Since 9/11, several federal translators have been charged with espionage-related crimes, according to Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington."

Myrick complains that the FBI, desperate to hire Arabic-speaking translators and agents, is currently recruiting candidates through pro-jihad publications, organizations and even mosques connected to the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

As part of her 10-point agenda, Myrick also plans to ask the Internal Revenue Service to investigate the Council on American-Islamic Relations' non-profit status, which restricts lobbying on behalf of foreign governments.

U.S. prosecutors say CAIR, which receives financing from Saudi and UAE sheiks, is a foreign-funded front for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. The Brotherhood has a stated objective of destroying America from within, and Hamas is an officially designated terrorist group.

U.S. prosecutors last year named the Washington-based CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to funnel more than $12 million to Hamas suicide bombers and their families. CAIR's ethnic-Palestinian founder was listed as a Brotherhood leader in America.

More than a dozen CAIR officials have been caught up in counterterrorism investigations, with several landing in jail.

CAIR insists it receives most of its money from member dues and none from foreign governments. It dismissed Myrick's concerns as Islamophobic.

"It sounds like your usual laundry list of talking points you can see on anti-Muslim hate sites on the Internet," said CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper, who in the past has stated his desire to see America become an Islamic state.

Myrick says she will also introduce a bill making it an act of sedition or treason to preach or publish materials that call for violent jihad and the death of Americans or the destruction of American property.

She will also ask GAO to conduct an audit to verify the total amount of sovereign wealth fund investment from the Middle East in the United States.

What's more, she says she will rally Congress to cancel the scholarship student visa program with Saudi Arabia until they reform their textbooks. Despite promises by the Saudi government to reform its texts, independent reviews show they still preach hatred and violence against Westerners.

The State Department plans to double the number of student visas issued to young Saudi men from 15,000 to 30,000 -- despite the fact that nearly all of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals who immigrated to the U.S. on visas.

"We aim to increase their numbers to 30,000 over the next five years," U.S. Ambassador Ford Fraker this month told Saudi officials at the Al-Jouf Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the past, a large number of Saudi students have failed to show up for classes, coast to coast, and have overstayed their visas. Many of them have been caught up in terrorism investigations.

In addition, Myrick will introduce a bill to restrict R-1 religious visas for Muslim clerics who come from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and other countries that do not allow reciprocal visits by non-Muslim clergy.

Since 9/11, several foreign imams have been prosecuted or deported for soliciting jihad, including a Pakistani cleric in Lodi, Calif.

Myrick also plans as part of her anti-terror legislative action to introduce a bill to cancel U.S. contracts to train Saudi police and other security forces in U.S. counterterrorism tactics until the Saudis certify the prosecution of designated al-Qaida financiers – such as wealthy Saudi businessman Yasin al-Kadi – as well as the detention of repatriated Guantanamo terrorists whom the Saudis have released back into the general population after being "rehabilitated."

Some Gitmo detainees repatriated to Saudi Arabia have re-joined the jihad against U.S. troops overseas.

The U.S. trains Saudi security forces in counterterror techniques at both the Quantico Marine headquarters in Virginia and Sandia National Laboratory in New Mexico.

Finally, Myrick says she will introduce or sponsor a bill to block the sale of sensitive military munitions – especially Joint Direct Attack Munitions – to Saudi Arabia. JDAMs include so-called smart bombs.

Islamic Law Imposed on All in Indonesian Province...

In Padang, Islamic law is now imposed on all

The controversial local laws inspired by sharia are now being applied to non-Muslim citizens. Female students who do not wear the headscarf are suspended, and few have the courage to rebel, because of fear of reprisals from fundamentalists.

In Padang, capital of the province of West Sumatra, the atmosphere is increasingly that of an Islamic state.  Female students who do not wear the headscarf (hijab) are frequently suspended from school.  The requirement to observe Islamic customs, sanctioned by the controversial regional law of 2005, is also imposed on non-Muslim girls, and has generated an atmosphere of strong pressure on religious minorities.  The proliferation of local laws inspired by sharia (perda syariat) is a growing phenomenon in Indonesia, but the central government has chosen not to intervene for now, in spite of protests from religious minorities and human rights NGO's.

The situation is not limited to Padang alone, where the most active promoter of Islamic laws is the mayor himself, Fauzi Bahar.  In this province, which has an overwhelming Muslim majority, since 2002 more than 19 districts have ratified the so-called "perda syariat", norms that are, however, supposed to be applied only to Muslim citizens: some of them criminalise behaviours prohibited by Islamic law, like adultery, prostitution, games of chance, and consumption of alcohol, while others restrict the freedom of women.  Men as well are required to wear Islamic dress: the traditional white robe called the "koko".

The application of the headscarf law in Padang is going beyond all imaginable limits, the inhabitants of the area say.  An anonymous Catholic young woman admits: "Wearing the headscarf is not pleasant for me at all, and it bothers me while I am studying in school".  Other female students in various schools complain about the same thing.  If they are interviewed by journalists, the young women ask not be named, because they are afraid of "being persecuted by fundamentalists".  "We have to adapt", they say, "we have no choice, otherwise they will send us home". Sudarto, one of the members of a local NGO that works for interreligious dialogue, reports that the headscarf law is applied strictly in at least four schools in Padang.

Other residents report with concern that since 2003 in Padang, mayor Fauzi has moved forward "enthusiastically" the project of "creating a more Islamic atmosphere" in the city.  Among the other norms inspired by sharia, they recall the obligation for students in the elementary schools to learn the Qur'an by heart.

Texas Honor Killer has Ties to Terror...

"HONOR" KILLER YASER SAID HAS TIES TO AL QAEDA

After Yaser Said allegedly murdered older daughter Amina in cold blood and then pumped nine bullets into his tiny daughter, Sarah Said,  he intended to flee the country (which would explain why he parked so near the airport).  What he did not count on was Sarah's super human ability to make a 911 call naming her father and pleading for her life,  the cell phone signal identifying where they were. Yasir was forced to move the bodies and his plan unraveled from there.

When he moved the girls bodies to a deserted part of the Omni hotel parking lot, Yasir was covered in blood and too far from anywhere to travel on foot. Someone had to have come and picked him up. Who? Who helped Yasir that night? Who did Yaser Said call on his cell phone? Who?  Have police checked those cell phone records?

Yaser Said made the lives of his wonderful, athletic, top honors daughters a living hell. This sexual sociopath raped them in their youth and beat them fiercely as a regular diet.

    The legitimacy of male violence against rebellious women is by no means an extreme view among Arab Muslims. A columnist in the Yemen Times last week argued that violence against women is sometimes necessary to "preserve the morals and principles with which Islam has honored us." In Arab culture, where honor is prized and female sexual purity exalted, a family can be cast out if a female member brings shame upon it. "Honor killer" Yaser Said and his three younger brothers are very close. They take care of each other. This is as much a religious mandate  as it is familial. Muslims brothers take care of each other. I suspect it is Yaser's brothers who have set Yasir up in the Muslim underground. They have extensive connections and own real estate together in Texas, New York and even Indiana.

Yaser Abdel Said and his brother  set up a post office box in Covington, Texas (where the families once lived on a compound) on November 15, 2007, the same day that a separate box was being set up near property owned by the Saids in a small town in Shrub Oaks, New York.

There has been  activity at the post office box in Shrub Oaks  set up by one of the Said brothers on November 15, 2007 just days before the murder of the two desperate young girls.

One of the addresses that a younger Said brother is linked to is in Mohegan Lake, New York, that home is owned by a Muslim man who runs an Arabic translation company.

The Mohegan Lake home owner was one of the Arabic interpreters  in the USA V Al Qaeda 1998 case.  The Mohegan Lake home owner worked for the defendant Mohamed Rashed Daoud Al-Owhali and WADIH EL HAGE (who just happens to be from Arlington Texas, same as all of the Said brothers). The Arabic interpreter helped create a lot of confusion in the case for the defendants Mohamed Rashed Daoud Al-Owhali and WADIH EL HAGE

Three of the Said brothers have had apartments near  Wadih Al Hage in Arlington TX during the the same time frame --  the early 1990's and then 1997 to 1998 while Wadih was facing trial as a member of al qaeda.

The Arabic translator for Wadih El Hage's defense team, caused a whole lot of delays and problems with the translations of the surveillance wire taps in the trial of Wadih El Hage.  The translator is also from the same part of the Dallas Fort Worth area as Wadih El Hage and all of the Said brothers.

Yaser Abdel Said was in the same part of Arlington Texas in 1993 as  Wadih El Hage. They more than likely went to the same Mosque, the Central Arlington Mosque in Arlington, Texas  where El Hage and his family worshiped for years. It now calls itself the  Islamic Society of Arlington.

Wadih Al Hage was Osama bin-Laden's personal secretary in the Sudan prior to the 1998 US Embassy bombings and Wadih Al Hage went to prison (for life) for his part in the bombings.

    Whether El Hage was a mediator or collaborator, evidence shows he was friends with many people who were later convicted in the World Trade Center and New York City Landmark bombing cases. On March 8, 1991, El Hage signed in to visit El Sayyid Nosair at the Riker's Island. Nosair was serving a sentence for gun charges stemming from the Meir Kahane murder case. Both El Sayyid Nosair and Mahmud Abouhalima were central figures in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and both have been convicted in that crime.

    There are other unusual connections between the men. In January of 1992, El Hage was arrested in Arlington, Texas, for writing several bad checks. He was riding in the car with a companion named Marwan Salama. According to phone records from the World Trade Center case, Salama had extensive phone contacts with the World Trade center bombers in the two months before the actual bombing.

    El Hage moved back to the suburban community of Arlington, Texas in 1997 and got a job in a local tire store. The family moved into a small apartment near the University of Texas and the children enrolled in a local Muslim school.   According to friends and neighbors contacted by FRONTLINE, the family lived a normal Muslim life, regularly attending Mosque and schooling their children in the Koran. "He was a hard worker, had a good business sense and was very devout," said his co-worker at the Lone Star Tire Store, Mahmoud Mazouni. "He became something of a religious leader, like an imam and sometimes led the prayers."

Apparently,  Said has ties to Jihadis tied to al qaeda. That's who is helping to hide  him, the Muslim underground. It's no wonder Yasir told his wife, every time he goes to the shooting range, he is shooting an Americans.

It is more than curious that Yaser Abdel Said's brother just happens to link to an addresses in Mohegan Lake New York  and Shrub Oak,  New York when Yaser is on the run.

Shrub Oak NY is about 40 min ride via train from the Bronx section of New York City, which has 30 Islamic Centers or Mosques some with ties to the Al-Muhajiroun  (more on radicalized NY mosques here.)

There appears to be a  pattern with the Saids  of hiding their locations from public records.

    According to a Dallas Morning News report, Yaser Said was a rage-filled, troubled man. Almost 10 years ago, his wife and daughters told police he was molesting the girls; they later recanted. He was not faithful to his prayers or his mosque. He was, it appears, a sociopath obsessed with female purity and willing to use violence to enforce his will. This kind of man exists in every society. But Mr. Said comes from a shame/honor culture in which this form of sociopathy is not only tolerated but validated as a positive social value.

    What's more, experts say that while educated, urbane Arab Muslims don't practice honor killing, they tend not to condemn it, either. And not all Muslims leave this barbaric code behind when they emigrate to the West. In two separate meetings with members of this newspaper's editorial board, Mohamed Elmougy, a prominent North Texas Muslim community leader and Egyptian immigrant, defended violence, even deadly violence, against women and homosexuals. Though the term "honor killing" did not come up in either discussion, Mr. Elmougy explained that violence against sexual outlaws is acceptable to defend the family and the social order.

    "The way we view it, we don't look at it as violent," he said. "We look at it as a deterrent."

    Well. When you have a community acculturated to the belief that women (and gays) who break taboos deserve to be beaten, even killed, out of some twisted concept of the common good, you can be sure there are innocent people enduring silent, anonymous suffering.

    Rafia Zakaria, an American Muslim woman starting a legal defense fund for battered Muslim women, told The New York Times recently, that Muslims "are reluctant to look within to face their problems because it will substantiate the arguments demonizing them."

    It would be preposterous to believe that all, or even most, Muslim men are wife-beating brutes. But it also would be irresponsible to ignore the cultural and religious teachings that create an environment in which females who don't behave as males command deserve to suffer.

    And it would be immoral not to confront them.

    The Said girls had a funeral at the Dallas Central Mosque. One imam talked about the primary importance of the family in Islam and of the responsibility parents have to keep their families strong. These are arguments used to justify honor killing.

And the girls spoke prior to their death of not wanting an Islamic burial.

    But if a word against honor killing – or violence against women – was spoken in English at that service, no one heard it.

    When Tissy [Patricia, mother of the dead girls]  met Yaser, he was working at a seven eleven store. So was his brother, Yassein. She and her family lived in an apartment complex very close to this store. When she and her siblings went to the store, Yassein, flirted with Tissy. He gifted her, made her feel special and this wooing, created a "crush". Yassein, asked Tissy to marry him and she said yes!! The following week, Yassein broke off the engagement. Then, up steps Yaser! He began the same process and told my brother-in-law that he was a college student, self sufficient and Tissy would be well cared for. They became engaged and the gifting process continued.

Tissy was 15.

    He said he was in school but, I never heard what his major was! I am not sure he was actually in school! Yaser, was Muslim and I warned my niece and begged her to please read and UNDERSTAND Yaser's religion and culture. She promised me she would. She did not...I later found out.
     
    Yaser's need to control was implemented immediately! Tissy took a photo album to my sisters house and showed them pictures of Yaser holding a knife to her throat!  Yaser always carried a machine gun, in his car! My sister was terrified of him!! She would tell me that she was afraid that he would kill those children and her daughter, Tissy!
     
    Information from those who were around him more:
    He was a sharp dresser...even if the children and Tissy had little, he always dressed very nicely.
    Tissy, was the primary money maker in the home. He did not work most of the time!
    All monies, Yaser made from driving a cab, was never to be touched by anyone!
    Yaser went to Egypt, at least once a year.
    Yaser, bought property, in Egypt, on the Mediterranean and had Islam and Amina a flat built...from ground up! He had intended to build one for Sarah as well.
    Yaser told Tissy, when they had the two girls, they could NEVER date or, marry an American! Only an Egyptian Muslim.
    Yaser, was very militant in his dealings! In as much, many were told that he had actually built an underground survivalist structure...this was on the property, in Covington. I went there the other day to see if  could find any signs of this...I could not! I tried!!
    Yaser controlled most all the movements of the girls and when he could not, he had his son, Islam to spy on his sisters.
    Yaser spent much time with his own family. They seemed to be very close.??
    Yaser owned many weapons! Knives, guns and such.
    Yaser molested my seven year old niece! He molested his seven year old daughter and his eight year old daughter.
    Yaser took my niece, which he raped, to a firing range and told her, "You see that target? Yes, she replied....everytime I shoot this, I am shooting an American! This was only a couple of years after Tissy married him.
    When relatives visited the Said home, Yaser kept away from them and stayed to himself. He was polite to my Mom but, did not take up conversation with her.

    Yaser, had Tissy doing much of the dirty stuff! She lied to get government subsidies and told them Yaser had left her and the children. Not true! They learned of this and my niece was arrested for fraud. He was being hidden, by her, for the sake of getting monies they were not entitled too.
    Yaser was cruel to the girls! Not his son but, these girls were scared to death of him.
    Yaser beat Amina and Sarah...not Islam!
    He smoked cigarettes even if it meant there would be little to no food, on the table!

Yaser Abdel Said plays everybody and the American welfare system, controlling, a constant sexual predator, ultra macho outward appearance, always claims to have a weapon (even if he doesn't) constant fear factor in his presence, non-communicative in groups unknown, classic sociopath, extremely dangerous, confides in his brothers very close to them, plans with them, probably not so much the son as he uses him as a tool, not an equal.

Terror-Funded MSA at Ohio State

February 20, 2006 proved to be an eventful day for the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at The Ohio State University. Not only did that date mark the conclusion of their weekend-long “Leaders of Tomorrow” conference, but that was also the day that their conference sponsor, Kindhearts, was raided by federal law enforcement and closed by order of the Department of the Treasury for financing terrorism, freezing its assets.

According to the US government, Kindhearts, which was established following the closure of the Holy Land Foundation and the Global Relief Foundation, was not only engaged in providing millions for HAMAS in Lebanon and the West Bank, it had hired as a fundraising specialist the man identified by HAMAS head Khaled Mishal as the designated HAMAS bag man in the US, Mohammed El-Mezain.

Kindhearts, however, was not the only terror-connected sponsor of the OSU MSA conference. Also supporting the MSA’s conference was its local parent organization, Masjid Omar Ibn El-Khattab, known affectionately in the Central Ohio area as “Masjid Al-Qaeda”. The mosque nearby the OSU campus was home to the largest known Al-Qaeda cell in the US since 9/11, with two former members – Iyman Faris and Nuradin Abdi – already convicted and serving prison terms for their participation, and another cell member – Christopher Paul – currently awaiting trial.

The third identified sponsor of the MSA conference, Ilmquest Productions, is the media arm of the Al-Maghrib Institute (profiled last year here at FrontPage, “Jihad U”). Ilmquest not only publishes and markets DVDs and CDs of Al-Maghrib “scholars”, but also a long-line of other extremist speakers, including Bilal Philips, Khalid Yasin, and Yemeni Al-Qaeda cleric Anwar Al-Aulaqi.

As noted recently here at FrontPage, the Ohio State MSA is no stranger to controversy. Three months after 9/11, the Associated Press reported that the OSU MSA was under federal investigation for its MSA News email list that regularly published news releases by a whole host of Islamic terrorist organizations, and also for encouraging readers to purchase videos from a terrorist support website:

— Ohio State University's Muslim Student Association produces and distributes MSA NEWS, which publicizes events featuring controversial speakers and has included news releases from terrorist groups such as the Algerian Armed Islamic Group, which is on the State Department's list of terrorist organizations Americans are forbidden to support or finance, and the Islamic Salvation Front, a fundamentalist political party banned in Algeria.

— During last year's Ramadan fast, MSA-NEWS urged campus groups to purchase a videotape called The Martyrs of Bosnia and show it to Muslim-only gatherings. The video was sold by London-based Azzam Productions, which featured articles on its Web site like "Taliban: Allah's Blessing on Afghanistan," and solicited funds there for the Taliban rulers in Afghanistan. The site, and a related German site, were shut down by the British and German governments as part of their Sept. 11 response.

Two years later, the OSU MSA played a critical role in hosting the Third National Conference on Palestinian Solidarity, whose keynote speaker was none other than now-convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader and former University of South Florida professor, Sami Al-Arian.

And more recently, the OSU MSA jointly sponsored an event to counter last October’s Islamofascism Awareness Week featuring notorious wife-beating advocate and Muslim Brotherhood leader Jamal Badawi, “Interfaith Relations – A Muslim Perspective”. The event was paid for by the university through student fees. As I reported here at FrontPage, “Fatwa Fraud”, Badawi was one of the featured speakers and an honored guest last July at a terrorist confab in Doha, Qatar honoring HAMAS spiritual leader Yousef Al-Qaradawi and attended by HAMAS head Khaled Mishal.

College students and administrators would do well to consider that Islamic terrorism and extremism are not phenomena distant and far removed from American college campuses (even though Ohio State professor John Mueller contends there is no threat from Islamic terrorists).

In fact, Islamic terrorism and extremism might be closer than they would ever realize – as close as the nearest Muslim Student Association.

Franchisee Sues Islamic Investment Bank for Racial Discrimination

A Baltimore couple has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Islamic investment bank that owns the Church's Chicken fast-food chain, alleging their franchise failed because the bank's strict adherence to the religious code of Shari'ah prohibited the couple from selling pork.

Marcus and Denise Beasley, who are black, claimed they were treated differently by the bank, now known as Atlanta-based Arcapita Inc., than non-black franchisees who were allowed to continue serving breakfast dishes containing pork after the chain was acquired by the bank in December 2004.

The couple did not benefit from the grandfather policy allowing the sale of pork even though their contract with the chain's former owners, AFC Enterprises Inc., to open a location in Baltimore/ Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport's new terminal predated the takeover and policy change, according to the suit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.

In the lawsuit, which seeks $5 million in actual damages, $5 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages, the Beasleys contend the bank's "stated reason" for disallowing the sale of pork in their case -- they had not yet opened for business - - was "pretextual."

"Arcapita permitted all of the other breakfast franchisees, which were approximately 30 Church's Chicken restaurants, to do so, all of which were owned by persons who are non-African American or Caucasian," the complaint states. "Of the Church's Chicken breakfast franchises that existed when Arcapita acquired the chain, plaintiffs are the only ones who are African American."

Calls to Arcapita were not returned Wednesday.

Shari'ah law

The Beasleys began negotiations with Atlanta-based AFC in May 2004 and inked a franchise agreement Dec. 17, 2004.

Church's Chicken, which serves American Southern comfort food, was founded in San Antonio in 1952 and has approximately 1,500 franchises worldwide, some of which trade as Texas Chicken, according to the company's Web site.

On Dec. 26, Crescent Capital Investments Inc., the U.S. affiliate of Bahrain-based First Islamic Investment Bank BSC, bought Church's, according to the suit. First Islamic changed its name to Arcapita in March 2005, the compliant states.

In April 2005, the Beasleys entered into a sublease with BAA Maryland Inc., the developer of retail and concession space in the airport, to operate their restaurant in the Pier A/B Core Food Court, according to the suit. The franchise's menu, which included pork items, had to be submitted for approval and became part of the sublease, the suit states.

According to the complaint, the Beasleys had been assured they would be receiving the same letter Arcapita had sent to other existing franchisees, which said the parent company would not be collecting royalties on pork products.

But "approximately one week before" the Beasleys' May 18 opening, the suit states, Arcapita informed them that, as new franchisees who had not yet opened, they may not serve pork, which Islam considers unclean.

The restaurant opened on schedule -- but never served pork -- and closed in late July 2006.

Substantial losses

Part of the "substantial economic losses" the Beasleys suffered was the loss of their house, according to their attorney, Paul M. Vettori of Kenny & Vettori LLP in Towson.

"As the result of the failure of their business at the BWI airport, they were unable to repay the bank for the loan they took out and the [home] was sold at foreclosure," Vettori said.

Vettori declined to comment on other aspects of the suit, including other potential reasons for the short tenure of the restaurant.

Vettori is also the latest attorney to represent the Beasleys in a separate breach of contract suit against AFC, Arcapita, BAA Maryland and the Maryland Aviation Administration. That suit, filed in February 2007, is working its way through the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.

James C. Rubinger of Plave Koch PLC in Reston, Va., who represents Arcapita in the state case, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.

Parents Outraged After Islamic Group Gives Classroom Presentation

Some high school students in a Seminole County public school got a lesson in Islam. Outraged parents at Lake Brantley High School called Channel 9 after an Islamic group visited the classroom.

Parents say the discussion violated the separation of church and state, because, they said, the discussion touched on specific elements of Islam and the Koran. Students in one particular class at Lake Brantley High School didn't have a choice about whether they wanted to be involved.

It was just the second day of a new class at Lake Brantley High School called "Family Dynamics," but students said guest speakers were there to talk about something else.

"She said, 'Mom, three Muslim ladies came in and talked about Islam today in school,'" said parent Lisa Wagner.

Wagner's daughter was one of about 35 in the class who heard from the Academy for Learning Islam. The school district said it invited the group to talk about cultural diversity, but the conversation went beyond that.

"I just felt like it shouldn't have been available in the classroom at all. Religion should be separate from school," Wagner said.

"Would three nuns be allowed to come into a classroom and talk about Jesus and the Bible?" WFTV reporter Eric Rasmussen asked Regina Klaers with Seminole County Public Schools on Thursday.

"If those three nuns came in to talk about how their religion has affected history, yes," she said.

However, district officials admit the in-class discussion at Lake Brantley may have crossed the line. The leader of the Muslim group showed Eyewitness News the presentation students were supposed to see and said his volunteers knew they weren't supposed to talk about religion.

"It's not preaching a religion. It's far from it," said Hasnain Kassamali, Muslim leader.

Local activist groups like the United American Committee have also denounced the presentation.

District officials said the three presenters were last minute subs for a different woman who was supposed to speak and now they're reviewing their guest speaker program to make sure they know exactly who's involved.

Where is the ACLU and Americans United for Separation of Church and STate? They are staying true to form and remaining silent on this issue because it was not a Christian organization doing it.

    A friend of mine is dating a woman from Bristol, England.  She just returned from there and said it is no longer English, the Muslims have taken it over and the trend continues. While we want them to assimilate it looks like they would rather annihilate.

Thanks for posting these. You're right, we are kept in the dark about things like this. Sadly, this is that so-called peaceful religion they talk about.

YES - this is what we have to look forward to unless we use our heads for something other than a hat-rack. However, it would require some common sense to protect ourselves, and that might just be too much to ask of our government. We are not immune to the same kinds of problems here. It's very bizarre to consider how much we help them take us over and conquer us.

Muslim movie tells Jesus’ story

An Iran-made movie based on the Islamic version of the life of Jesus is stirring controversy among Christians for its portrayal of Christ as a tormented Judean prophet foretelling the coming of Muhammad, the founder of the Muslim faith.


“Jesus, the Spirit of God,” claims Jesus was compassionate, performed miracles and spoke parables, but was not divine nor was he crucified and resurrected.


Some claim this movie is a step toward bringing more understanding between the two faiths. Director Nader Talebzadeh believes it will show the common ground between Muslims and Christians. He told AFP that he saw his movie as an Islamic answer to Western productions he sees as simply wrong, such as Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.”


“I pray for Christians. They’ve been misled. They will realize one day the true story,” Talebzadeh told the LA Times. His film has been screened at international film festivals and is being marketed for wider release.


The film has certainly sparked dialogue, which is part of what Talebzadeh wanted. Bloggers have been disputing the film for months now. In January, one responded to an article about the film saying, “The Islamic-fascists will go to the ends of the earth, whether by blood or bombs, to try to delude their people with their Nazi like propaganda.”


But why be up in arms? Don’t Christians try to spread their version of Mohammad’s life and teachings? In a conversation about this film, one Christian blogger spouted that “Islam preaches hatred of non-believers. Muhammad was a pagan general who created Islam to unify his forces. He only picked and chose what he liked in Judaism and Christianity and added his violent outlook.”


Would Talebzadeh see these comments about his faith the same way Christians view his film? Or would he say they are worse since he at least portrays Jesus as a powerful and kind prophet?


As another blogger more recently commented, “Don’t we as Christians spend our time trying to prove that the beliefs of Islam are false? Don’t get me wrong, I totally disbelieve Islam and what it stands for but, in the same breath, to act as though we don’t try and silence them also is a bit naive. What makes our actions any better than theirs… other than the fact we believe in the true word of God but I am sure they feel the same way about their beliefs?”

I can see this person is blind to the fact that true Christians don't kill non-Christians simply because they don't believe as we do nor do we attempt to force them in any manner.
