Seeking to Restore the Caliphate

HIZB-UT-TAHRIR (HUT)

    * Political party with cells in more than 40 nations
    * Outlawed as a terrorist group in Russia, Germany, and many Islamic countries
    * Seeks to replace all governments with a single Islamic ruler, or Caliph

Hizb-ut-Tahrir (Arabic for "The Party of Liberation") has its roots in the political party al-Hay'at al-Tahrir al-Islami ("The Islamic Society of Liberation"), which in 1951 was established in Jordanian-controlled East Jerusalem by Sheikh Taqi-ud-deen Al-Nabahani (an associate and contemporary of the pro-Nazi Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Haji Amin Al-Housseini).

Hizb-ut-Tahrir defines itself as "a political group and not a priestly one," a "political party whose ideology is Islam, so politics is its work and Islam is its ideology." It "works within the Ummah [community of believers] ... so that she adopts Islam as her cause and is led to restore the Khilafah [Caliphate, or Islamic kingdom] and the ruling by what Allah revealed."

Rejecting Western notions of both democracy and capitalism as tools that allegedly have led to the colonization and subjugation of Islamic nations, Hizb-ut-Tahrir's long-term objective is to replace existing governments with theocratic Muslim rule and to bring about a worldwide Islamic government under a single ruler (caliph). In such an ideal Islamic state, says Hizb-ut-Tahrir, "all of life's affairs in society are administered according to the Shari'ah rules," or strict Islamic law.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir states that it accepts "Muslim men and women as its members regardless of whether they are Arab or non-Arab, white or coloured, since it is a party for all Muslims."

In its self-description, Hizb-ut-Tahrir declares: "Its work is not educational, as it is not a school, nor is its work concerned with giving sermons and preaching. Rather its work is political, in which the thoughts and laws of Islam are presented in order to act upon them and to carry them so as to establish them in life's affairs and in the State." Moreover, the organization professes a devotion to "the struggle against the disbelieving imperialists, to deliver the Ummah from their domination and to liberate her from their influence by uprooting their intellectual, cultural, political, economic and military roots from all of the Muslim countries."

Hizb-ut-Tahrir asserts that while it "does not use material power to defend itself or as a weapon against the rulers," nevertheless "jihad has to continue till the Day of Judgement." "So whenever the disbelieving enemies attack an Islamic country," says Hizb, "it becomes compulsory on its Muslim citizens to repel the enemy. The members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir in that country are a part of the Muslims and it is obligatory upon them … to fight the enemy and repel them."

Former Hizb-ut-Tahrir member Ed Husain, who left the organization and denounced it in his 2007 book The Islamist, says: "The only difference between Islamists from Hizb ut-Tahrir and jihadists, is that the former are waiting for their state and caliph before they commence jihad, while the latter believes the time for jihad is now."

According to Heritage Foundation researcher Ariel Cohen, Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a "totalitarian organization, akin to a disciplined Marxist-Leninist party, in which internal dissent is neither encouraged nor tolerated." Candidates for membership undergo two years of indoctrination, becoming full members only after they "mel[t] with the Party."  Members belong to compartmentalized cells and know the identities of only the others in that cell. "When a critical mass of cells is achieved," writes Cohen, "according to its doctrine, Hizb may move to take over a country in preparation for the establishment of the Caliphate." Hizb-ut-Tahrir reportedly has cells in 40 or more nations.

Today Hizb-ut-Tahrir, although splintered into four factions (most notably Hizb Waed), reportedly has tens of thousands of secret members across the Muslim world, attracted by its triumphalist Islamic future.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir is outlawed in Russia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and numerous Muslim countries (including Egypt, Pakisan, and Saudi Arabia) that regard it as a radical, subversive, terrorist organization that spreads "hate and violence" and seeks to overthrow their governments.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a legal political party, however, in the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Yemen, and most Western nations. The organization gained a foothold in the United Kingdom under the leadership of Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, the Al Muhajiroun founder who joined Hizb-ut-Tahrir as a teenager in Lebanon during the early 1970s. For awhile Britain considered outlawing Hizb-ut-Tahrir, but then-Prime Minister Tony Blair decided against doing so after he was advised that forcing the group underground would be an even less desirable alternative that permitting it to function legally.

Fadi Abdelatif, Hizb ut-Tahrir's spokesman in Denmark, in 2002 distributed a pamphlet titled And Kill Them Wherever You Find Them, an anti-Jewish reference from the Qur'an (Baqarah:191).

In August 2007, approximately 80,000 members of Hizb-ut-Tahrir gathered in the Bung Karno sports stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia to call for the creation of a unified Muslim Caliphate spanning the entire Islamic world. The delegates in attendance, who hailed not only from Indonesia but also from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, punctuated their demands with cries of “Allah is great.”

Lebanon's next president appeases Hezbollah & Opposition
Thursday, 10 April, 2008 @ 8:14 AM

Beirut - General Michel Suleiman said the crisis had caused the Army to be "dragged into a situation of daily attrition, like the Lebanese people, who have had enough of politics and politicians, not to mention the difficult social and economic situation confronting them".

Noting that he saw "nothing inconvenient" about adopting the electoral law of 1960, the general said the Lebanese should not be treated like "closed blocs, at the service of such and such a confessional leader... the citizens have the right to have several choices before them, especially in regard to great national options".

The general indicated that the Lebanese had "lost a historic occasion to benefit from several great events which have marked our contemporary history, beginning with the liberation [from Israeli occupation] in 2000, passing to the demonstrations of March 2005, then to our victory in the war of July 2006 and war against terrorism at the Nahr al-Bared camp.

"Another country which had seen these kinds of events would have known how to benefit from them in order to consolidate national unity. We however have been dragged into a surfeit of internal dissensions".

After ruling out "a new Israeli attack against Lebanon", General Sleiman affirmed that in the event of such aggression, "the Army will stand alongside the Resistance".

Considering that "the Lebanese should stand fast and be calm", the general concluded, in reply to a question about a possible "white coup d'etat", he said, "Lebanon is not a country of coups d'état or revolutions, but a country of consensus and compromise on the basis of the consolidation of coexistence, of national unity, and of the safeguard of Arab and international friendships, particularly with Syria and the other Arab countries".
His comments were seen as an ultimatum to the bickering rival camps to settle their differences over the Presidency or face a deeper political crisis. There were also fears that in the event General Sleiman withdraws from the race, this would bury an Arab League initiative to settle the crisis.

The Arab plan calls for Sleiman's election, the formation of a national unity government and a new electoral law. Lebanon has been without a president since November, when Emile Lahoud stepped down with no successor elected. Although the two camps support Sleiman as the consensus candidate, they remain at loggerheads over power-sharing in the future government.

The crisis, the worst since the end of Lebanon's 1975-1990 war, has led to a dangerous power vacuum that has at times spilled into the streets. Seventeen sessions of Parliament to elect a successor to Lahoud have failed since November. A new session is scheduled for April 22.

Beyond the political impact of the general's statement, Sleiman's early departure would cause a vacancy in another top post traditionally assigned to a Christian. The matter is especially delicate as Hizballah's general secretary, Hassan Nasrallah, has said his party would demand guarantees about Sleiman's successor. On this basis, it is unlikely that it would look favorably on the prospect of Shawki al-Masri, the chief of staff, leading the Army on a temporary basis until a new commander-in-chief is appointed, since Masri is seen as being very close to MP Walid Jumblatt, a leading member of the majority coalition.

Retired General Elias Hanna, a military analyst, indicated that replacing Sleiman would be difficult and that his departure might cause the paralysis of the military establishment.
"In principle", Hanna said, "there is no vacuum on the level of the state. The defense minister can appoint as commander-in-chief the officer who comes immediately after Michel Sleiman in the hierarchy". The difficulty, he said, lays in the fact that not only is Masri linked with Jumblatt, but that he is also a member of the Druze community, while the office of commander-in-chief is traditionally held by a Maronite.

"The departure of the Army chief will paralyze the military establishment" if the efforts to replace him fail, according to Sami Salhab, a professor of law at the Lebanese University. "Who will give the orders and direct operations if fighting takes place".

For the March 14 alliance, however, "August 21 isn't an immediate problem. There's enough time to see what transpires. Many things could happen between now and then", according to one majority MP.

For General Michel Aoun, leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, affiliated with the opposition, the conditions laid down by the opposition did not concern the Army, but only the majority.

"It's General Sleiman's right to evaluate the situation", adding, "Let's wait and see how things develop". Even if Sleiman were to retire, he could still be a candidate for the Presidency, Aoun told the BBC.

Another leading opposition figure, former Minister Sleiman Franjieh, told the LBC channel, "If the majority agrees to vote in Parliament for the electoral law of 1960, the election of Michel Sleiman will take place during the same session".

Saudi Interfaith Summit Faces Challenges
King's Ambitious Plan, However, Elicits Some Prompt and Vocal Support at Home, Abroad

By Caryle Murphy
Religion News Service
Saturday, April 12, 2008; B09

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- A group of visiting Japanese scholars was making a routine courtesy call recently on King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz when the monarch raised a subject that, as he put it, had "obsessed me since two years ago."

Distressed by what he described as disintegrating family ties, a rise in atheism and "an imbalance of reason, ethics and humanity," the king announced plans for a new interfaith dialogue in which "believers of the three main religions -- the Torah, Bible and Koran -- will be of priority."

In other words, Jews, Christians and Muslims.

The proposal made headlines because of Saudi Arabia's austere, exclusivist version of Sunni Islam, which bans the open practice of all other faiths, and regards even Shiite Muslims as heretics. For the most part, this Wahhabist strain of Islam has rejected interreligious dialogue with non-Muslim "infidels."

Abdullah's stature as "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" in Mecca and Medina, however, gives him some authority in religious matters. So, if as he said, the aim of the dialogue "is to request all religions to sit together with their brothers faithfully and sincerely as we all believe in the same God," something significant has occurred.

The monarch also said that Saudi religious scholars "have agreed" to such a dialogue. "God willing, I will start this matter soon. If we meet and agree," he added, "I will then address the United Nations."

The king's seemingly ambitious proposal comes at a time of escalating violence and distrust between the Islamic world and the West, with both ensnared in a wide array of grievances, including Muhammad cartoons regarded as blasphemous by Muslims, restrictions on religious freedoms in some Islamic countries and the lack of progress in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A desire among some Western religious and political leaders to defuse these precarious relations is apparently one reason why Abdullah's proposal was widely and warmly welcomed, including by the White House.

"When you have someone like the king of Saudi Arabia and all of his stature that is recommending such a dialogue, it can only give us hope that there would be further recognition of everyone's right to . . . freedom of expression and religion," presidential spokeswoman Dana Perino said. "So we are encouraged by it."

John L. Esposito, founding director of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University, said Abdullah's proposal "is potentially an important and significant move forward in terms of the king sending a signal -- not only to the world but also to the more rejectionist types who are theologically very narrow-minded -- that we're going to open up."

The dialogue proposal -- the location, format and agenda are still unknown -- is popular among Saudis who support the king's reformist agenda of slowly introducing political and social changes. "It's unprecedented . . . [for] Saudi leaders to call for dialogue between the three religions," said Khalil Al Khalil, a member of the quasi-parliamentary Shura Council.

Hard-line religious figures who might not be happy with Abdullah's plans are mute so far, and there have been only mildly worded warnings floated to the king. For example, a young cleric blogging at the Internet forum Al Saha recalled how Muslims who had engaged in past dialogues with Christians had come away disillusioned.

"I advise King Abdullah," wrote Sulaiman Al Khuraishy, that he get his interlocutors to "acknowledge Islam as a holy religion and . . . Muhammed as God's Prophet. If they refuse these, how on Earth can we have a conference with those who don't acknowledge your religion and your Prophet?"

A far greater challenge than internal opposition, perhaps, is whether Abdullah's envisioned dialogue can have meaningful impact, unlike so many past religious conferences. The answer to that question revolves around two dilemmas for the king's advisers: namely, what to put on the agenda and whom to invite.

The king said the purpose of a dialogue would be "to agree on something that would maintain humanity against those who tamper [with] religions, ethics and family systems."

On the one hand, an agenda that addresses such issues as family values, the need for world peace and other already universally agreed upon matters runs the risk of drawing a global yawn. In such a case, the outcome would match the prediction of one Saudi lawyer who called it "a wonderful gimmick [that] . . . will change nothing."

Yet an interfaith dialogue that tackles the most vexing issues in the widening rift between Islam and the West could quickly lead the conversation into an impasse. That is because most of these contentious matters are political ones, ranging from U.S. foreign policy to France's ban on Islamic head scarves in public schools.

"I don't see where it would be appropriate to get involved in hard-core political issues" in such a dialogue, Esposito said. The challenge for organizers, he added, will be to "develop a program of substance where issues can be discussed both conceptually and practically."

One Saudi official, speaking on background, declined to discuss specifics but said the agenda "will surprise you. It's going to be big."

A second dilemma for the Saudis is who would participate and, specifically, would Israeli Jews be on the roster? In the absence of a conclusive Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, it is difficult to imagine Israelis being invited to a Saudi-organized interfaith conference, whether it was held in the kingdom or elsewhere.

Jewish reaction to Abdullah's announcement was swift and favorable. Israel's Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger said in a statement quoted by the Associated Press: "Our hand is outstretched to any peace initiative and any dialogue that is aimed at bringing an end to terror and violence."

The Jerusalem Post called it "a remarkable development that should be warmly welcomed by the Jewish people." At the same time, the paper said, "it makes as much sense to reach out to Jews and boycott Israel as it would to reach out to Christians and boycott the pope, or to reach out to Muslims and boycott the Saudis, for that matter. The Saudis should understand that Jews are indivisible, since they claim the same for Muslims."

At a recent news conference, the Saudi foreign minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal, deflected a question about Israeli attendance, saying that "it is an interfaith [initiative], which means the three monotheistic religions, so the Jewish faith of course is part of that."

For the moment, said one of Saud's aides, "no one will answer this question."

Top Shia cleric says unveiled women turn men into beasts
Thu. 10 Apr 2008

Adnkronos International

Mashad, 10 April (AKI) - A top Shia cleric in Iran has said that unveiled women are a serious danger to Iranian society as they cause men to be "transformed into beasts".

"Women without the veil are a danger that the authorities underestimate," said Hojatolislam Seyyed Ahmad Elmalhoda, a powerful cleric who leads the Friday prayers in Mashad, a site considered sacred for Shia Muslims as it houses the shrine of Imam Reza.

"This situation is very serious in that if men see these bad women, they will turn into beasts, and then the whole of society will have to pay the consequences."

According to the Shia cleric, women who do not respect conservative Islamic dress rules are "sources of all that is bad in society."

"Respecting the chador (a long, black cloak that covers the arms and legs and is usually worn with a hijab) is the law of the state and the authorities must severely punish anyone who does not respect this law, in the same way that they punish thieves and murderers," said Elmadhoda.

He is who is also a member of the Council of Experts - a powerful body of 86 senior clerics which elects, supervises and can dismiss the country's supreme leader.

He was speaking to journalists who were reporting on president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to the shrine of Imam Reza.

"A women who does not wear the entire veil is like a fire which burns anyone who comes into contact with her," said Elmalhoda.

"Our youth, even those who are educated by families who believe and respect the words of the Prophet, when they come into contact with this fire [the women who are not properly veiled] they burn and become ash," he said.

 Grin   Grin   ROFL! - You guys are killin' me.

How about the ultimate cure:  a full-body unisex garbage bag with just holes cut for eyes. Just think about all the money we could save.   Grin   By the way, designer garbage bags would not be allowed. It would be a one-size-fits-all garbage bag that is government issued. Further - there would be no choice of colors - Pea-Green. This would serve a dual purpose becuase if would be easier for us to hide when the terrorists come to get us.

We Will Conquer Rome, the Two Americas, and Eastern Europe
April 14, 2008

In a Friday sermon that aired on Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV on April 11, 2008, Yunis Al-Astal, Hamas MP and cleric, told worshipers that Rome, "the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital," would soon be conquered by Islam, just as Constantinople was. It then, he said, would become "an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe."

The following are excerpts from Al-Astal's sermon:

Yunis Al-Astal: "Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion, so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security, and consolidation of power, and even to conquests thorough da'wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world.

"Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.

"Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam. This capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe.

"I believe that our children, or our grandchildren, will inherit our jihad and our sacrifices, and, Allah willing, the commanders of the conquest will come from among them.

"Today, we instill these good tidings in their souls - and by means of the mosques and the Koran books, and the history of our Prophets, his companions, and the great leaders, we prepare them for the mission of saving humanity from the hellfire at whose brink they stand."

Hamas Cleric Predicts 'Rome Will Be Conquered by Islam'

Monday, April 14, 2008

 A sermon last Friday by a prominent Muslim cleric and Hamas member of the Palestinian parliament openly declared that "the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital," would soon be conquered by Islam.

The fiery sermon, delivered by Yunis al-Astal and aired on Hamas' Al-Aqsa TV, predicted that Rome would become "an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread though Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, even Eastern Europe."

"Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion," al-Astal preached, "so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security and consolidation of power, and even to conquests through da'wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world.

"Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our prophet Muhammad," he added.

Al-Astal last June preached how it was the duty of Palestinian women to martyr themselves by becoming homicide bombers.

"The most exalted form of jihad is fighting for the sake of Allah, which means sacrificing one's soul by fighting the enemies head-on, even if it leads to martyrdom," he said in a June 23, 2007 interview.

"When jihad becomes an individual duty, it applies to women too, because women do not differ from men when it comes to individual duties," he said, calling Jews "the brothers of apes and pigs" who should "taste the bitterness of death."

Friday's rant repeated that theme: "Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam.

"I believe that our children, or our grandchildren, will inherit our jihad and our sacrifices, and, Allah willing, the commanders of the conquest will come from among them.

"Today, we instill these good tidings in their souls – and by means of the mosques and the Koran books, and the history of our Prophets, his companions, and the great leaders, we prepare them for the mission of saving humanity from the hellfire at whose brink they stand."

Putin's future father-in-law is Muslim
17.04.2008

The prospective father-in-law of the Russian leader Putin, who is about to marry a gymnast who is 25 years his younger, is Tatar.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin is said to be getting ready to marry the Olympic medal winner gymnast Alina Kabaeva. Alina Kabaeva was born in Uzbekistan and her father is a Muslim Tatar. Putin quietly divorced his wife Lyudmila Aleksandrovna. According to the claims, Kabaeva and Putin will get married in mid-June. Marat Kabaeva is a former professional football player. Marat Kabaeva warned his future son-in-law: "my daughter is a very sensitive girl; so, know how to make her happy."

Putin's future father-in-law is Muslim
~~~~~~~~~
Isn't that great........ Now, all we need is Obama as president, with his muslim relatives.
I was just thinking about this. If Obama gets in, and Putin marries this girl, talk about setting things up to go against Israel in the last wars.......... Shocked Shocked
My only question is, will Putin convert?? History shows that men often foolishly follow their wives into idolatry.
Libyan Leader confirms historic and strategic importance of President Putin's visit to Libya
Posted: 2008/04/18
From: Mathaba
The Leader of the Libyan Revolution confirmed the historic and strategic importance of the Russian Federation's President, Vladimir Putin, to Libya.
At the dinner banquet he held in the honour of President Putin and his accompanying delegation, the Leader of the Libyan Revolution said that the visit came to build new bilateral relations between Libya and Russia, which are different from those between Libya and the former Soviet Union, in a world which is also different from that world that time. The Leader's speech reads:
(I have the pleasure to welcome our great guest President Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Federation.
First of all, I would like to ask him to excuse us, because we kept at the airport for broadened and deep talks at both bilateral and international levels till this hour; to the extent that we didn't have time to get ready, as you can see.
This visit to Libya is the first of its kind for a Russian President. This visit is very important historic and strategic.
Despite the changes that will be made on the Russian Leadership shortly, we know that you will keep on leading the Russian Federation and that your party has overwhelming majority in Duma; this is what reassuring us that our cooperation and struggle will continue along with you; you also will continue along with us.
This meeting came to build bilateral relations between Libya and Russia in a new stage; these relations are different from those between Libya and the former Soviet Union that time; and in a new world which is also different from that world at that time.
It is said that the cold war is over, but I say that unfortunately the cold war is continuing and renewable.
Arms race has begun once again the reason is that the imbalance in international equilibrium encouraged that, so the world is run by one polar.
This one polar policy led to tremendous dangers on international peace as it had happened in the Balkans and what is going on now in the Middle East, Iraq the Near East and in Afghanistan.
This led to the need to restore international balance to preserve world peace.
Due to the dangerous imbalance in international equilibrium, the world is living in a state of unrest and horror, but the world now began to feel at ease some how when the Russian deterrent force was restored and rebuild.
From our view point, even the establishment of the European Union will lead in the end to the rise of another polar in the world.
The policy of threatening the independence of countries and the policy of provoking other needs a deterrence.
Intervention in Chechnya, in Iraq, in Afghanistan and in Bosnia Herzegovina led to the wide speed of terrorism.
There would have been respect to the unity of Yugoslavia and the unity of the Russian Federation, as well as respect of the independence of Iraq and Afghanistan, but unfortunately did not happen and in turn led that every country began to look for protecting itself. This unfortunately leads to arms race once again.
We say since the Second World War up to now , no war occurred at the world level because of the nuclear deterrence and when there is no such deterrence international balance becomes disturbed.
When Napoleon was the strongest, he was tempted to annex Moscow and Paris which was irrational idea at all and when Hitler felt he was the strongest in the world he wanted to annex Moscow and Berlin. These are mad ideas motivated by might only.
When NATO feels it is the powerful in the world, it will not hesitate to apply the theory of Napoleon and Hitler, the proof of that is what is going on in the world now.
It is not in the interest of world peace to provoke Russia because Russia is a nuclear power and this must be taken into consideration.
It is not in the interest of the world peace to provoke a nuclear power and to try to encroach upon it.
This led to saying that the cold war is continuing and that arms race started all over again beginning from the Mediterranean on which Libya is located on the biggest part of it.
Libya has a coast line extending to 2000 kilometres on the Mediterranean feels that that balance of power in the Mediterranean has been totally disturbed.
The Mediterranean must either be free of foreign fleets or the world balance is in equilibrium in the Mediterranean.
This is the state of the world today and which had taken a great deal of time of our talks.
We want peace and stability in the world, that big countries respect the smaller ones, we want cooperation for a better tomorrow for food, for water, for medicine and for climate changes.
But in the mean time we are thinking about our peace and security.
We are disturbed by the rising prices of food in the world, this will lead to monopoly of food stuff by specific sides and this is very serious and must by confronted.
Unfortunately, world leaders who love peace and freedom have hopes that clash with the reality of those leaders who are against that.
For as much Moscow offered to serve the world peace, renouncing the past Soviet policies, it was rewarded negatively.
It was provoked, harassed and the world is dominated by one party. And so we end up the victim.
Now things are dealt with outside the United Nations and the rulings of the International Court of Justice of mocked at, and the power of law was replaced by the law of power, and this is a source of concern to peoples.
Thus the mutual deterrent unfortunately has become vital to keep peace in the world.
We resorted to the idea of reforming the United Nations but this idea faces unconcern by the power that have no interest in reforming the UN.
From the UN the process of increasing the seats of the Security Council was aborted.
Reforming the UN means transferring the powers of the Security Council to the General Assembly in order to achieve democracy at the international level, since the General Assembly is the World Parliament and the Security Council is like a government .. Is it democratic that the government decides and parliament implements?
This is what we have now .. the SC has the powers to legislate and decide while the UN member states have to implement.
The law makers are members of the UN General Assembly, they are the ones that must issue resolutions and the SC has to carry out those resolutions. This is how the UN should be reformed otherwise it is funny and ridiculous process.
However this visit will lay the foundation for bilateral cooperation given that we are oil and gas producing countries, although Russia is not member of OPEC, nevertheless we will work together because we have a stake in this to protect our interests.
Meanwhile we support the idea to establish an organisation of Gas Producing and Exporting Countries "DOMEZ" in Arabic, modeled on "DOMEN", Petroleum Producing and Exporting Countries.
I think gas producing countries have begun to respond to this idea. This call, and consultations will start between us to realize it.
Meanwhile we the oil producing countries have a duty to do something to help countries affected by the price hikes particularly the African countries.
Dear friend, Putin.
Exchanged visits will begin between us as of now, God willing, and consultations will start on all these international issues and to consolidate cooperation to protect our interests as oil and gas producers and these are very strong mutual interests that bring us together.
We very much admire your activeness and effectiveness in international policy. we also admire very much your leadership of the Russian Federation and saving Russia to return once again as a super power in the world.
We thank you so much for accepting the invitation and making this visit at this proper time.
And Peace be upon You)
Mecca Proposed as Greenwich Replacement for World's Time...
Clearly the goal of Islam is to have a global Caliphate = muslims will conquer and rule the world. I and many others have chronicled the overt and stealth invasion of the UK, Europe and elsewhere by muslims and the atrocities committed in the name of Islam. A relatively new muslim movement is to create an internationally enforceable "legal instrument" by which muslims can stifle any type of free speech, in the Western world, against Islam. Currently muslims are being encouraged to file lawsuits against anyone they deem to be offensive to Islam -- often using ludicrous "Human Rights Commissions" to do the dirty work as in the famous Ezra Levant case.
Now muslim "scholars" have decided there is yet another way to implement their Global Caliphate. Insisting that "Mecca is the center of the world's land" they want to change the reference point for world time from Greenwich, England (Greenwich Mean Time) to.............where else but Mecca. They have even invented the Mecca watch. Muslims balk at what they feel is the Western world inflicting Greenwich upon them. In fact these inbred thinking "scholars" even want to discard Western maps.
For those who continue to keep their heads in the sand and refuse to believe in muslim's desire for world domination - it is past time (Greenwich Mean Time) for such dhimwits to wake up.
Mecca should become core to measure time zones: scholars
SPEAKERS at a Doha conference on Mecca's importance said that the holy city, not Greenwich, should become the reference point for world time, reigniting an old controversy that started some four decades ago.
A group of Islamic scholars presented on Saturday “scientific evidence” to prove that Mecca was the core of that the zero longitude passes through the holy city and not through Greenwich in the UK.
Greenwich in England has been the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884. GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time because it is measured from the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Greenwich is the place from where all time zones are measured.
In a clear support for the call, Islamic scholar Yousuf al-Qaradawi said Islam, “unlike other religions, never contradicted science”.
The participants recommended the unification of the time in the Arab world to the time in Mecca instead of Greenwich. They also called the Arab governments to abandon the new world maps “because they are forged to serve Western interests.”
They also demanded that buildings in the Arab world be directed towards Qibla.
The gathering also urged to organise conferences to promote the idea of “Mecca as the centre of the world's land” and distribution of CDs to support it.
The conference was organised to introduce Saat Makkah (the watch of Mecca). The inventor of the clock, Yasin a-Shouk, said it runs anti-clockwise in the direction of Tawaf, the rotation around Kaaba.
The Switzerland-based award-winning inventor of Palestinian origin said that his invention met a lot of opposition and it took him four years to win the patent.
The moderator of the event, Rabaa Hamo, who is also the wife of the watch's inventor, said “the West imposed on us the invisible Greenwich line” as the world's reference time.
She hoped that an Islamic country would adopt the project to strengthen the belief that Mecca was the core of the world, not theoretically but practically.
Islamic scholar, Zaghloul al-Najjar, said that the West did not like the scientific proofs that “Mecca was located in the centre of our planet, but nevertheless we will go on our research to establish it as a truth”.
Other speakers talked about the privileges of Mecca quoting verses from the Holy Qur'an and the sayings of Prophet Muhammad.
I myself think the time should be set for Jerusalem. To me and many other Christians, Jerusalem is the center of this planet.
AMEN!
All will be brought under subjection from the Throne of David in Jerusalem one day soon. JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF will take HIS Rightful Throne and rule and reign over the earth. HE will crush evil first, and the nations will no longer learn or practice the arts of war. THERE WILL BE PEACE!
Isaiah 2:1-5 NASB
The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Isaiah 9:2-7 NASB
The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them. You shall multiply the nation, You shall increase their gladness; They will be glad in Your presence As with the gladness of harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For You shall break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. For every boot of the booted warrior in the battle tumult, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.
Pakistan declares long-range missile ready for wartime use
Mon Apr 21, 5:51 AM ET
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Pakistan said that a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead anywhere in Indian is ready for wartime use after troops launched it on Monday during a field exercise.
Scientists and engineers had prepared the Hatf VI missile, also known as Shaheen II, for the exercise with a test-firing on Saturday.
Monday's launch "validated the operational readiness of a strategic missile group equipped with the Shaheen II missile," the Pakistani military said in a statement.
The army says the missile has a range of about 1,200 miles, the longest of several missiles in Pakistan's nuclear-capable arsenal. That is far enough to hit targets anywhere in archrival India, as well as in Iran, Afghanistan and Central Asia.
Navy Chief Adm. Muhammad Afzal Tahir congratulated those responsible for the exercise on the "successful launch and the accuracy of the missile at the target," the statement said.
Tahir said Pakistan could be proud of the "reliability of its nuclear deterrence" and that the country would further enhance its nuclear capability.
Pakistan became a declared nuclear power in 1998 by conducting nuclear tests in response to those carried out by India.
The South Asian neighbors have fought three wars since gaining independence from Britain in 1947.
However, their relations have improved since 2004, when they began a peace process aimed at resolving their core dispute over the divided Himalayan region of Kashmir, which both claim.
Both countries routinely test missiles.
