Sister Maria,

I want to thank you again for this thread. It is an excellant manner in which to increase our Bible studies. I hope that you don't mind my adding in a few questions also. Now I have just one more thing to say .....  What are the answers to your questions I tried to answer. I'm dying here!   Wink Grin Grin Grin

A bat is a mammal. It births and nurses its young. Also the Bible is silent on the subject.

Right on 2 counts but the Bible does mention bats in Isaiah 2:20
 Isa 2:20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

Where are we reminded that a will does not come into force until the man that signed it has died?

PR the word is "Last" it is mentioned 3 times only and all 3 in the Book of Revelations 1:17; 2:8; & 22:13.

The exact words; "I am the first, and I am the last" is also used three times in the book of Isaiah as well as three times in Revelations (KJV). However the words Alpha and Omega are Greek that are used for First and last also.

PR just a little something I learned today God cannot be tempted.
Jesus when He was baptized went into the wilderness and He was tempted. He was walking the earth as a man, His kingdom is not of this world.

Amen sister His Kingdom is not of this world. He is still King of Kings as the bible tells us.

Rev 17:14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Many people say that Jesus was just a man while here on earth. He was indeed fully man, but He was also fully God, men cannot be perfect, for only God can be perfect and Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, He was without sin, without a blemish.

I'm glad you said "most of the time" because I am not perfect and have and will make mistakes. There is much to learn in the Bible and a life time is not long enough to learn it all.

The Bible disagrees sister.

The bat (singular) is mentioned in both Leviticus and in Deuteronomy as being Fowl not mammal. Scientists, especially those supporting evolution, classify living things differently than does God. God says that bats are fowl:

Lev 11:13  And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
Lev 11:14  And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
Lev 11:15  Every raven after his kind;
Lev 11:16  And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
Lev 11:17  And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
Lev 11:18  And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
Lev 11:19  And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

Which righteous man does the New Testament describe as being vexed from day to day?

2Pe 2:7  And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
2Pe 2:8  (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

Who was the first woman recorded as wearing a veil?

Gen 24:64  And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
Gen 24:65  For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

Would that happen to be.........

Hebrews 9:17 For a will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death, since it has no force or legal power as long as the one who made it is alive.
