I am sure that the Moderators enforce the rules of the use of profanity (in case anyone is slipping a little ), no racist comments and the like. But may relax the rules a bit on the more personal comments and such...or may not. I think the a point of the debate section is also a good place to have topics that have been derailed to be placed. Oklahoma Howdy to Tog_Neve, You are partially correct. Profanity, cursing, swearing, gutter language, or whatever else some might call it is not allowed anywhere on the forums, including here. Rude and hatefull is the biggest part of the compromise (i.e. calling someone a liar, nitwit, dim-bulb, one fry short of a happy meal, etc.). The same topics banned from the rest of the board are banned here. Christians Unite will not provide time or space defending or promoting immoral acts, immoral lifestyles, teachings that are contrary to the Holy Bible, etc. Sexually oriented material is obvously banned. If you read the forum rules, you'll be pretty close. If you wouldn't want children to read it, it doesn't go on Christians Unite. This is an experiment. We'll have to see what develops. I'd be very interested to know what rules (if any) do still apply in here. The guide say "only the obvious...", but it sure isn't obvious to me.
Oklahoma Howdy to Ebia, The obvious is listed as language and topics, so you can't curse while teaching Voodoo, etc. There are some fairly hateful and abusive comments made in some of the hotter debates. This is an experiment right now, and I'm sure there will be reasonable limits, and we'll know what those are if they are reached. In other words, threads that should have been deleted completely were placed here under an experimental basis. The same topics that are banned on the rest of the board are banned here. If threads go too far here, I assume that ADMIN will direct the thread or threads be deleted and reconsider the experiment. I guess the primary factor will be how reasonable folks are willing to be. Here's a possible analogy: if you throw mud-balls, make them soft and small - you can't put a rock in the middle of the mud-ball. I bet this is as clear as mud. Love In Christ, Tom

Oh, alright! BEP goes first as mod and as first person to write a bio, but you get to be the first runner-up! How's that. Oklahoma Howdy to Whitehorse, "Uh Oh", now I'm confused. Am I writing a bio on Sapphire and get to make up anything I want? I think that I got confused several messages ago. Love In Christ, Tom

Bep if this aint the place to ask just remove my post i wont be angry background... born and raised a dispy waiting for rapture and the great tribulation... How is one saved through the trib? How is salvation via the trip not a second chance, or maybe you believe it is... Salvation is only through HIS blood not the blood of martors (sp) correct? Oklahoma Howdy to Reba, Sister, I think this is a great question and perfect for here. You are 1000% correct that Salvation is still only through Jesus and HIS blood, not because of any persecution or death the person endures. If it's a second chance, it would be a very hard second chance. They will be hunted, tortured, and killed. I think that Paul2 has all of this information at his fingertips. I'll have to find my notes or start over. Love In Christ, Tom

One part of that secret is that if the whole adult part of even one congregation would do this sort of studying, their entire church body could do mighty things very quickly, with far fewer obstacles in their way. It is the lack of this sort of study that throws stumbling blocks in their path to begin with.
Oklahoma Howdy to FewareChosen7f, I go to a little church that does almost all Bible study. I doubt that the congregation will grow to any degree, and I doubt we will ever need a larger church. I honestly believe that many people don't go to church to study the Holy Bible. It seems that many people don't find sufficient entertainment in Bible study. I have no problem at all with social activities and other fun things, but the primary reason for church should be Bible study. I think you are completely correct. Love In Christ, Tom

My sole purpose, is to help others fully understand the Gospel of the Grace of God (Acts 20:24). And as the Apostle Paul, my goal is that many might attain "unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the full knowledge of the mystery of God" (Colossians 2:1) Your friend and brother The Crusader < ))>< Oklahoma Howdy to the Crusader, I read your post and was thinking that failure to study and learn the beautiful truths of our Lord and Saviour may be the reason why some Christians are unhappy. Some might listen to their preacher for a couple of hours a week, but that is not enough for the fuller joy and peace that is revealed in the Scriptures. I give thanks for the many sweet Christians who share the Good News of the Gospel of God's Grace. Brother, I give thanks for you. Love In Christ, Tom

Pilgrims Progress, an excellent book. I wish more people would read it. It realy makes you think, if you allow it. Enjoy Oklahoma Howdy to Tibby, I read it 40 years ago. Do you think I need to read it again? Let me see if memory serves me correctly. Is it written by John Bunyan? If so, it is available an an E-Book, free of charge, in the Gutenberg Project. They have a large list of literary masterpieces and an excellent freeware E-Book Reader called Y-Book. If anyone is interested, I'll post the details. Love In Christ, Tom

What is BEP gonna do when all the threads are in this debate folder?
Oklahoma Howdy to Sister Reba, That's an excellent question. We were faced with two opposing forces: (1) the Forum Rules; (2) those who wish to have a warm or hot debate that the rules don't allow. The "Debate Area" was a compromise, in hopes that all of the broken noses, blackened eyes, busted teeth, and mangled body parts would be isolated to here. We realize that you might have to trip over hair, teeth, and eyeballs to get in here, and we also realize you may not make it out alive, but at least everyone was warned. By the way, we don't recommend the Gladiator Cafe across the street. Love In Christ, Tom

Confirming the statement? "At the same time the world will point to Christianity and say, "They don't even have a definitive word of God. Anybody can write a Bible." They already say that the Bible was "just written by men".
(BEP, I just came across this thread, if its out of place, its because its a old one) "I don't think that a discussion of accurate translations of the Holy Bible is a waste of time. This is a valid concern." Very valid! Oklahoma Howdy to Shylynne, You made an excellent point, and I think many excellent points were made in this thread. I specifically enjoyed the comments made by IrishAngel about the Authorized King James Version. I don't believe it is a coincidence that the Holy Bible has survived all these years. I have no doubt that Almighty God preserved and protected it. I also believe that God gathered the dedicated scholars who shed their blood and suffered persecution to translate HIS WORD into English for the common man. This is a sore subject for some, but I'll stick with what I've used all my life, the KJV. I won't step on any specific toes here, but I honestly believe that many modern translations either dilute or completely change the WORD OF GOD. Love In Christ, Tom

Oklahoma Howdy to PeachyKeen,
I will continue to pray for you and your family. It is a blessing to have found the problem. I'm praying since it hasn't made everyone in the family sick yet that they found it in time to make all of the health problems reversible. Taking some time off to let your body heal and giving the doctor opportunities to give you the best treatment sounds very intelligent.
I know this is hard, but I pray that you will concentrate all of your effort in getting well, doing what the doctor tells you, and spending some extra time in worship and prayer. Only God knows, but maybe you will be back to school in the fall, completely normal and healthy.
We'll be praying for you.
Love In Christ, Tom

:)NO Web page as yet, but i am working on it as time permits....the main page will be the Berean Research Centre, with links to LOTS of sites(& i will include THIS one )....got lots of Ideas for it....some will like it...some will not. Oklahoma Howdy to Palmoni, Let us know if you need any help. There are several on the forum who do web sites, including me. Any Christian site can expect hate mail in any email address you list and in the guest book you use. For that reason, it is a must to use the kind of guest book that lets you preview messages before anyone else can see them. Children should not have access to the incoming Email either. Christians Unite has a guest book like that, and Christians Unite also offers all kinds of changing Christian content that is updated daily or twice daily. Check out the Webmaster Services in the Christians Unite menu. Holler if there is anything you need. Love In Christ, Tom
