I have found that baking you own bread helps. The process of twisting and hitting and turning the dough seems to alleviate a lot of stress and fustration. I like to keep goverment official's faces in mind while I'm doing it, because burocracy is a drag, even here in SA. I like that you have placed your live into the hands of the Almighty. Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. I will, in the mean time, add you to my prayer list. Have faith, all good things comes to those that have God as a Saviour.

I agree with some of what you say, Chris. But I work in a GP's office myself. Satan can use science too. Look at the theory of evilution. How many people are lead astray on this path? Some of us do have generics working against us (you just have to see my thighs, they have all the hail-damage my Gran's have!), but with our Lord, nothing is impossible. I was cured from addiction in this most peculiar manner by Him. So my experience tells me that I can trust Him to save others on which the medical profession gave up. These are called miracles! God really is excellent with things that look impossible to the human eyes. Impossible is His middle name, so to say. Grace and Love

It would seem Satan is putting a party dress on one more sin; It is now okay to lie. It is something in your brain, it is not your fault, you were BORN this way. You are in fact sick. It is okay to drink. It is something in your brain, it is not your fault, you were BORN this way. You are in fact sick. It is okay to smoke and use drugs. You are an addict, It is something in your brain, aka you are sick. It is okay to be homosexual. It is something in your brain, it is not your fault, you were BORN this way. You are in fact sick. Looks like they all need to become NEW MEN. I bet if they get BORN AGAIN, the decease will dissapear altogether.Meet the Physician,Mar 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. He will help you to get born again,Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. This will make you new,Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Now you are in the image of Him that created you, and that means:1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. This is a script for all sickness. Follow it, and you will be CURED Amen.

The blond wanted to loose some weight and visited the Dr to get his advise.
He said: Well, I suggest that today you eat 3 healthy meals, tommorrow you, skip, and then the day after that, you eat, and the day after that, you just skip again. You'll loose the pounds in no time.
Two weeks later, she comes back to him, looking great.
He said: Well, I never expacted you to loose so much weight in so little time. You look wonderful. What is the trouble?
She said: Well, I need some extra vitamins. The days that I'm eating is fine, but the days I have to skip rope all day is catching up with me.!

God. I look for God. The signs that He is there is :
Lots and lots of love between the members of the congregation. I look at the way they greet each other, how they speak to each other, how they handle the children and aged that are present. People come to greet me & my family by hand. They ask how we are. Invite us back, ask if they might visit us, not to preach, just to get to know us. They do not send the Pastor, they send a ordinary couple. They keep to scripture, but that takes more than one visit to notice.
So...
love will give them away everytime. God is love, and if He is present, so will be it.

I agree with that, Texasgrandma,
In our marraige we also discuss when big decisions have to be made. On most issues we agree, but if we don't we ask help from people we know have had the same problem, and then we go to God. We have made mistakes, we have both been wrong, but that is ok, since we learn as we go along.
One question though:
Husbands should love their wives so that they could submit easier. Wives should submit to their husbands so that they could love them easier.
Which do you think should come first?

My kids are all teenagers. But I am the Pre-shooler's Sunday school teacher at our church. I just love spending time with them, and learning about God, from their viewpoint

Theology / Apologetics / Re:Communal Living
|

The early Christian church did have communal living. The Apostles sold everything they had and lived together.
Act 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. Act 2:44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; Act 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
I don't know of any Christian groups that still do it, but a good friend told me a Messianic congregation in the North of the North Island of NZ sold all that they had and trekked down to the South Island to take the gospel to the country. This is a congregation of about 80 people and their Pastor.
I hope this helps.

Me too, but there's 4 of them, so it took a bit longer. Maybe their language abilities were not up to scratch yet?
