Theology / Apologetics / RE:SEEING THE WORLD ANEW

IS IT JUST ME ARE DOES EVERY NEW CHRISTIAN SEE THE WORLD AS A FEARFUL PLACE? I NEVER REALLY AGREED WITH OR EVEN UNDERSTOOD ALL THE IMMORALITY IN THE WORLD. IS THIS FEAR A LACK OF FAITH,ON MY PART?
I did not see the world as fearful. I only felt GOOD. I was walking on sunshine for nearly 6 months. I shined like a new penny and I had enough energy to save the whole of SA with the help of GOD. Sometimes even He was moving to slow for me!

Judgenot, I don't think it's an American thing. It is a global phenomanon. You see it every where these days. No function or party is a success if it does not have a good pessimist.

Theology / Apologetics / Re:Being Forgiven.
|

From my personal experience I will tell you this: Do not wait until some-one asks to be forgiven, forgive them completely the moment they wrong you, brother or not. For 15 years I never forgave my Mother-in-law, which was also from my congregation. This unforgiveness grew and grew and later became such a stumbling block that I left the church and stopped to pray. She was not even aware that I felt wronged by her, and she did not ask forgiveness. But my bitterness grew and it took over my whole live, it influenced my relationship with my hubbie, my children and even my own mother. One day while I was speaking to some-one I heard a clear voice saying to me: You are changing and are doing the same things you hate in your MIL. I stopped in mid sentence. The following day a sister I grew up with in church phoned me, (we haven't spoken for 5 years) and asked if I wanted to go on a camp with her. I went and God showed me that I need to forgive. I need to let go of the wrong she did.
This is what I hope you remember. The biggest lesson I learned out of this is : To forgive some-one is not for them, it is to make your own live better. I have never felt more free and loved then now. My MIL still knows nothing. But I know and God knows. Forgiveness changed MY live for ever.

When they knock on my door I say: Hello, I believe that Jesus Christ is at this moment standing at God's side, speaking on behalf of me. He is standing in the gap for me. Will you pray with me to thank him for that?
Now where did they go....?

I found that it is realy easy to keep on the "straight and narrow", as my Gran calls it, if you always walk in the Holy Spirit. I learned this lesson not so long ago. There is a differance between having the Spirit and walking in the Spirit. God showed this to me in Galatians 5:25 (King James Version) 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
It is so wonderful to say, with all the glory to my Father, that since then I have been growing stronger, and walking with the Spirit makes my choices a lot easier.

Since last week we have been paying more for a litre of gas then for a standard loaf of white bread. You guys have nothing to complain about. I earn R 3500.00 a month and pay more then R5 for a litre (not a gallon) of the valuable fliud. I spend at least 1/4 of my salary on gas.

We tend to forget that He is working on our behalf even before we voice our need. It is good to be reminded of it today. Thanx, this means a lot to me.

I always tell my kids, praying is us speaking to God, reading the Bible is Him speaking back to us. In any relationship communication needs to come from both sides.
