1  Fellowship / For Men Only / Re: America is about to collapse it seems on: May 17, 2006, 09:44:46 AM
Well, if all that bad stuff is going to happen to the USA, then I guess the rapture will have occurred.

You see, there are a lot of Christians in America, and as long as they keep pumping out the gospel to the world, ain't NOBODY gonna be conqueing the US too sooon. And that includes satan!!!!

2  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: Phycics are Dangerous and Destructive on: February 14, 2006, 01:37:12 AM
Two weeks ago my wife left me, our children and our grand-children because a phycic told her 3 years ago that in order for her to grow phycically that she would need to leave me. She told my wife that she was very phycic herself and was meant to write and do phycic teachings; especially after the world ends as we know it in 2012. She told her that I loved her very much but I loved her for everything she is today. She said that if she was serious about reaching her higher self that she needed to leave me and that she would find her true soulmate that would help he achieve her higher self. She told her that her soulmate was someone she had known for years and that there was a woman associated with him that my also knew and that she would help my wife as well. She told her that her soulmate and this woman were from the east coast. We are from the east coast and we went back in October on vacation. My wife called and met with her best friend from high school whos is also the sister of the boy she dated in high school. Long story short my wife is convinced that this old flame is her soulmate and his sister is this other woman the phycic told her albout. My son told me that my wife told him of this a year ago and he dismissed it as fancy. Has anyone ever heard of this? How do I fight this? I am completely lost!

Hi wifeless,

I'm making the assumption you are born again. Then if you are born again, you NOW have been given power and authority over satan. YOU can take authority over the devil and cast him out of your life, your wife's life, and your children's lives. Rather than write several hundred, (maybe thousands), words on this subject, I know an excellent book on thi subject. It's called The Believer's Authority, and it is written by Kenneth E. Hagin. There simply isn't a better resource that puts it in simpler, and scripturally based terms that anybody can understand.

When you read it, you will probably get very mad at the devil because you will find out some areas in your owm life where the devil has duped you, and taken advantage of you. That's OK because once your eyes have been opened, you WILL be able to cast him out of your wife's life.

3  Theology / Bible Prescription Shop / Re: Fear on: February 03, 2006, 04:06:48 PM
Rev 21:7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Look at what happens to the "fearul"!!!!! Now this word carries with it the connotation of faithless. Therefore I think we can observe that fear is anti-faith. It's the faith killer.

I challenge you all to look up and observe how many times you find Jesus and God saying "Fear not!" Keep in mind that this is God speaking a command!!!!
4  Theology / Bible Prescription Shop / Re: Fear on: February 03, 2006, 03:58:24 PM
1Jo 4:18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Are you afraid or fearful? Then walk in love. Even if your flesh doesn't feel like it, speak your love for your heavenly Father. And do not stop until you have conquered fear. This is major because NO person who calls themself Christian should have fear of ANYTHING.

5  Fellowship / You name it!! / Re: DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT OR HAVE SCRIPTURE ON.... on: February 02, 2006, 01:26:55 PM

Definition:

Quote
In European folklore, the witching hour is the time when supernatural creatures such as witches, demons and ghosts are thought to be at their most powerful, and black magic at its most effective. This hour is typically midnight, and the term may now be used to refer to midnight, or any late hour, even without having the associated superstitious beliefs.

In neopaganism, it is sometimes used to refer solely to midnights occurring during a full moon, when a witch's power is supposedly at its greatest.

I seriously doubt you would find any scripture on such a thing. The Bible would just call someone out as a witch or sorcerer, etc. I don't believe the Holy Spirit would tend to be a resource for details of Wicca.

Where you coming from on this, or what you trying to study on this G?
6  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re: Need help. This is long but please read it and understand my situation... on: January 26, 2006, 04:07:17 PM
Hi Ira,

You won't be the first and/or last caught in this diilemma, I'm sure. What is happening is your enemy is seeking to remove the seeds of your recent victory. What you'll need to do is fight back at him, and overcome him.

The first thing I suggest is to devoutly read the Bible and pray every day. Look for verses that contain the phrase "in Him", or "in Christ", or similar to that effect. Predominantly, these verses will be found in the Epistles of Paul. Just about every one of these verses will tell you something that you have, or something that you are when you are "in Him", or born again.

And I can tell that you ARE born again by your sensitivity to sin. So make no mistake, nothing you do, and nothing Satan can do can separate you from Jesus, or his love for you.

Here is a little something about spiritual warfare from the Word of God:

2Co 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

So now, it is apparent that we must bring every thought into captivity if we are to win the war againt our carnal, or fleshly natures. How do we bring thoughts into captivity?

Try this little exercise. Start counting in your mind from 1 to 20. At about 7, speak your name out loud. What happened to your counting? It had to stop to lsten to what your mouth had to say, didn't it? This is the way we are made.

So now, when Satan brings the sinful carnal thoughts that have been capturing you, say this out loud,
"I love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul, all my strength, and all my mind. And I love my neighbour as myself."

And every time the devil brings an evil thought, you say those words out loud. It will help you bring your thoughts into captivity, as well as speak the truth of God's Word from your mouth.

Finally, as I previous;ly mentioned, seek out those scriptures I described above and when your find one, speak it out loud. Make it a profession in your life, and believe it is so. This will help you to grow in strength spiritually in Christ Jesus.

I will give you a couple that are powerful  to begin with.

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

When you are born again, you become a new creation. You become a new man created in the image of Christ Jesus. Say this one out loud also, and meditate on it in your mind. This will renew your mind with the Word, which will eventually get down into your brand new spirit, and become an unshakeable rock!! It will also send Satan running because he can't stand to HEAR the Word of God. That's another reason why you speak it out loud.

Here's another:

Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Hallelujah!!!!  Notice that this is past tense. We HAVE BEEN blessed with all spiritual blessings in HEAVEN.

Finally, if you do fail, then know this:

1Jo 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confess your sin to Jesus right away, and get rid of it. Do NOT let it fester in there. And then go back to speaking the Word of God on loving God with all your heart, and soul, and strength, and mind. Do NOT give up!! You will become victorious!

Keep me posted on what you find, and how things are going. I have an extensive list of these verses, so when you hunger fore more, I can share some more. But you may find it more rewarding digging out these little gems yourself. Look also for phrase like "in whom", "by whom", etc.

Love,

Your brother David.

7  Theology / Debate / Re: Benny Hinn or Ben Hinnom? on: January 23, 2006, 10:03:59 AM
Hey folks! May i suggest we walk in the love of God instead of just firing darts at our brother in Christ Jesus. I HAVE
heard Benny Hinn preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, so I know at the very least he is born again because one cannot speak so except by the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 12:3).

And how do you know Benny didn't give up all that he had to follow the Lord? Plus, where does it say in the Bible to give up your house and your ass to be born again?

As for the house and the cars, I DO know the house in California? is not his. It belongs to the ministry. I know, I know, semantics.

Anyways, the point I want to make is why are we ripping at him in a public foum? Are we not children of God too? Did you know that with what measure you judge, you shall be judged also?

No, if you see your brother or sister in need of the revelation of God's word, why not pray for him/her?

I challenge you folks to pray Ephesians 1:16-23 over Benny Hinn, changing the pronouns to address him personally. Do that every day so that you will know that God will reveal truth to him Do you really want to go through another Swaggart/Baker type of scenario, and the serious damage done to the church during that time?? No, let's allow God to handle Benny Hinn, and let's hold him up to God.

As for Jesus, and the reality of whether he could have sinned or not:

Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

11  Prayer / Prayer Requests / Re:Please Pray, lostdaily on: January 16, 2006, 05:31:44 PM
somone to help me

I am in a real bad depression. I feel my life is falling in around me. I am fixing to get a divorce my health is bad and to be honost i am JUST SCARED. I have 2 great kids and i will soon be alone. My husband is a very angry person and i am scared of him. I am getting out for my safety and my kids. If anyone can maybe pray for me. I am sooo lost. i do not have any devotionals and i seem to be lost when i open my bible. Please help Cry

Satan, I take authorioty over you in the name of Jesus and command you to get out, and cease manuevers against lostdaily, her children and her husband NOW!

Heavenly Father,

I lift this family up to you in thy throne room. I pray your peace and your hesed, tender lovingkindness, your agape, unconditional surrounding love become central and manifest in their lives. I intercede for them Father, that you personally come into their lives showering them with hesed accordiing to the covenant of blood that you have sworn by.

Gather them under your wings, and guide them unto the secret place of the Most High. Reveal yourself unto lostdaily your wisdom and knowledge so that she can handle this situation. And walk with her every step of the way through this situation unto the victory we know she will experience. I thank you Father and praise you and worshp you, for you alone are our God, and your tenderloving mercies endure forever!!!

My dear lostdaily. One thing you MUST do. You MUST not fear, but believe only!! I know it will be difficult, but try this. Every time fear arises, or a fearful situation, say this, "I love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul, all my strength, and all my mind. And I am showered with the hesed (pronounced hah-seed) love, covenant love, of the Most High God. I CAN conquer this situation".

Now, make sure your first thought when you approach the situation, is to approach it with the God-kind of love in mind. When you speak, speak with words of grace and love. Take the approach of a servant of God's love, and you're there to administer His love.

Love NEVER fails!!!!!!

"A friend loves at all times..." The Bible - Proverbs 17:17 NIV[/i]

Hello, my friend.

13  Theology / Debate / Re:THE CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE: on: January 07, 2006, 09:07:41 AM
*chuckles* Zakdar, please, calm down. I meant no offense. I did not say DigitGen was right in this case, or that I agreed. My appologies if it seemed that way. Smiley

In any case, BEP is right. We cannot go around bashing other denominations. It is this kind of infighting that the world views and it drives more away than I can count. Christ said the mark of a true Christian would be our LOVE. Smiley

Oh no, I'm not offended. I'm not even offended by what Digi posted. However, that title and subject IS a fence. And at a time when we truly need to tear down these fences and show the world our love for one another, well.... let's just say I'm disappointed more than anything else.

14  Theology / Debate / Re:THE CHARISMATIC MOVEMENT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE: on: January 04, 2006, 09:46:00 PM
Whether or not you agree, ZakDar, we should all be open to teaching and correction from our brothers and sisters in Christ. They are often the Spirit's chosen tool in our lives, whether we care for it at the time or not. Smiley Read what I said in "Tongues: A Sign."

Thanx my friend. I'd like to think I'm open to correction and do indeed maintain "teach-ability".

But let me put this is a little different perspective for ya. Look at the title of this thread. So let me narrow this down a bit into a number of ways to "retitle" it.

The Pentecostal movement is dangerouse because.....

The Assemblies of God movement is dangerous because.....

The Charismatic Catholic movement is dangerous because....

The Four Square movement is dangerous because....

I wonder what kind of reaction I would get if I wrote a nice expose titled "The Baptist movement is dangerous because..."?

Or, "The Catholic movement is dangereous because..."?

Or Methodist, Lutheran, Menonite, etc.

Get the picture?

No, let us "love one another" and therby fulfill the COMMANDMENT of Jesus. And yes, it IS a commandment - we DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE IN THIS MATTER!!!!!!!!!! This is one of only two commandments given from the very lips of the Lord of Glory!!! Let's write exposes on this commandment rather than fingering denominations.

Let me give you a strong example - and this is a true story.

A certain pastor of a particular charitable ministry also partakes of a certan business venture, and promote it beside, yet behind, his ministry.

Through this business ventrue, a Pakistani man got meet this man and see him at work in his ministry, and has come to respect this minister's faith, and his walk with Christ. In fact he was so impressed, he decided it was worthwhile for him to study Jesus.

So, he invited this pastor over to his house for dinner, and the pastor was pleased to accept his invitation. Now, when Pakistanis have a dinner guest, it's a friends & family event that usually will include anywhere from 25 to 50 people.

So here's this Pastor of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, surrounded by about 30 Muslims, (yes, Pakistanis are predominantly Muslim), and he's teaching them about Jesus.

But, Oh, wait a minute, he's "charismatic"!!!!!! Yikes!!!! Why would God use a "charismatic" Christian for such an important encounter?

I don't know, and don't care. In fact, I couldn't care at all what denomination he was from. All I know is that this man maintained a respect for another man regardless of his religion, and in so doing got to teach the Gospel to some folks that are from one of the most reknown anti Christ religions in the world!!!

Think about it!!
Think about it!!
Think about it!!
Think about it!!

15  Theology / Debate / Re:Jesus was rich on: January 04, 2006, 08:08:59 PM
Actuallyi, Jesus was indeed rich. The Word says he was:

2Co 8:9  For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

However, he became poor so WE could become rich!!!!!
