Think maybe Greenspan knows something, and now it's time for him to run? I do. His successor will be the one who removes the artificial controls that's keeping the economy afloat. If I'm right about this, you might want to consider selling your real estate and getting your equity out now. Then go rent someplace at least 100 miles from any large center and stock up on long term foods such as canned goods.

It ain't going to be a very nice place to live, (a large city), if all fear-mania breaks loose because the economy is dying fast.

So....is this a list of your favorites?  

I'm trying to find some good sounds for my 20 yr old son who just gave himself to Jesus around Christmas time '04.  He tells me that the secular music sounds good, but the lyrics are aweful.  And the Christian music has true lyrics (some anyway), but he says the musicality of Christian sounds are pretty poor.

What do you think?  Are their websites where we can go get a sample soundbite?  I really don't want to buy him cds just to find out that he doesn't like them...

What's his style? What secular bands does he like? I might be a bit too old, but of the current Christian rock bands I've heard, Kutless seems the best.

I don't like thrash so someone else will have to guide if that is his tendency.

But my list has some real oldies. I mean, I still have AND play the vinyl !!! Yup, and I own a Rega Planar turntable, which was really state-of-the-art back in the day, if ya know what I mean.

Im new here.. But just wanted to see your guys' opinions..  I have a partner who used to (because he says he doesnt do it anymore) check porno sites. It's been months that we havent talked but now we're trying to work things out again.  I have this heavy feeling that he still does it and it bothers me so much. I have been reading him verses from the bible about lust, pornography, etc. and have been praying for him about that matter. WHenever i ask him if he still does it, of course he says no.  Should i trust him?  I always tell him that- to even just look at a women lustfully is like commiting adultery already.. But he doesnt really say anything about it.  Sometimes i want to spy on him just to find out if he still does it, but i know thats pretty lame..  I just dont know how to deal with this...

Well, I was gonna bypass this one because my opinion might not be too popular, but it just kept scratchin' at me.

I believe there's a REASON you are having that "feeling". Same reason I had that scratchin' in me. You need to listen to that "feeling". You don't HAVE to spy on him because you already know.

Now here's the part that you might not like. You really should move on from him. Or at least, maintain purely a platonic friendship. Because if you go deeper into this relationship, and that porno problem has not been resolved, guess what he's gonna demand in the bedroom after the marriage? And guess what happens to the marriage when you demand to maintain pure sexual relations?

Frankly, I think this has disaster written all over it. You need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt about him before engaging in a relationship. So while you're praying for him, spend extra time on you with the Lord to receive direction from Him on this matter.

I apologize if this is too blunt or heavy handed sounding, but I'm afraid I don't know any other way. I guess tact is not one of my strong points.

Where's the love?

Did you not know that love is THE priority? There is no higher priority for a Christian than to learn to walk in the COMMANDMENT of love. It IS a command, and not an option.

I can find no other commandment given by the Lord. Why?
Because love fulfills any command or law. Note that these commands and laws are God's. Satan has never created a law, and man, (with devilish help), has only perverted God's law.

Therefore, any minor you want to bring up must be judged in the light of the command of love. Love must be satisfied first and foremost in everything we say or do or think.

Did you ever wonder why the North American church appears, (and is), so weak and powerless? Yup, where's the love? And what has happened to the love that we should have and present? Well, it's bound up in fear.

1Jo 4:18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Wanna get rid of fear from your life? Walk in the commandment of love.

Wanna see miraculous things happen, both in your personal life and the lives of those around you? Walk in the commandment of love. This one is a biggy, and the reason the power of God is not manifest more in North America. Why? Because faith worketh by love, (Gal. 5:6). In fact, nearly all blessings from the Lord come by way of our own personal love-walk.

Yes indeed, what we do DOES matter. And this is not "saved by works" doctrine either so please don't try to go there. This is "if you love Me, you'd do what I say do" doctrine. This is quite simply the doctrine of love. Love like no other kind of love. The same Love that God is, (1 Jo. 4:16), has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, (Ro. 5:5). Therefore, we have the ability and capacity to love just like Love does.

So what is this new kind of love like? what are its characteristics.

For this, I will use the Amplified translation.

1 Cor. 13:4-8
4 - Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

Are you the kind that is patient and kind whilst enduring a hardship? Or are you a grumbler, or a back-biter, or some other unpleasant manifestation when enduring a hardship?

Are you looking to promote others, or do you push to be seen in the "light" for notoriety?

5 - It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].

Some really strong stuff here. How do you react in situations that have an effect on you and others alike? And when you disperse from whatever the situation, are you grumbling, back-biting, resentful?

What do you do when someone has wronged you? Are you truly like Stephen and asking God's forgiveness for them?

6 - It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.

Are we truly rejoicing when right and truth prevail?

7 - Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

Do we believe the best of EVERY person???

8 - Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

Do we really believe this? If we did, then we would surely be walking in this kind of love because we would know that we would be victorious in every circumstance of life.

We need to read this every single day, but even more importantly, we need to look at each individual point and meditate on it. We need to reflect on our own thoughts and deeds and motives, and look at them through the lens of the item of Love that we have decided to meditate on.

And I might add that meditating on the Word of God must be done in your "quiet space", be it a closet or some other area you have set up for yourself. And you can't do this during the commercials!!! No TVs, radios, or any other distraction present.

I can't stress enough how important it is that we strive to grow in Love. Here's an example of both ends of the spectrum, with names left out.

Some North American ministries go to the Ukraine to see about helping out there, particularly the ones suffering from the Chernobyl fallout. So they take pictures of the downfallen, and go back to North America and raise funds, using these pictures to stab the hearts of North Americans.

Guess what? Not a single penny made its way back to the Ukraine to help out those folks. Now one particular ministry from the US went over there and DID bring help, not only in the form of food and clothing, but also medicines and professional people to minister to those in need of medical AND dental help. Also, games and amusements such as ping-pong tables, pool tables, TVs so children could watch cartoons were provided. All this for people, (including adults), who have eaten meat only once in their life. Who lived in unheated housing with no laundries, cooking tools, heating equipment, etc.

You know what happened? Hundreds came to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, whereas because of those "other" minstries who took the money and ran, they were cursing Him previously.

But Love, REAL Love in the form of physical needs being met in the name of Christ won their hearts.

But you know what? Meeting the needs of the needy around the world is great, but how about your neighbour who is struggling to pay bills? How about your brother or sister in Christ who is driving a rusted out 1990 car?
How about your neighbour whose roof is missing a bunch of shingles? Or they wear worn out shoes or clothes to church because they have nothing better?

I believe we need to look for opportunities to help our brethren locally also, and maybe even moreso given the spiritual depravity of this continent.

Christians need to come to the aid of the poor HERE!
Christians need to come to the aid of the sick HERE!
Chrisitians need to come to the aid of the spiritually depraved HERE!

In the province of British Columbia in Canada, the head of the ruling political party is a person named Svend Robinson. Svend is a homosexual, and is quite public about it. In fact, he was known before he became the head of his political party.

Once Svend's party got elected, he wasted little time with his attack against God. First, he introduced a bill to have "God" erased from Canada's Charter of Rights, the equivalent of the American Declaration of Independence. So you could say he wanted to erase the "one nation under God" phrase from the Charter. Fortunately, this bill failed.

That didn't deter Svend though because he introduce another bill. This one sought to make it illegal to speak against homosexuality, on a par with Canada's laws against racial slander. This makes it a part of the criminal code. If passed, this bill would make it perfectly legal to imprison a pastor or reverend who preaches the dangers and sinfulness of homosexuality to his/her congregation. Svend, however, says it is  not intended to jail preachers. This bill was passed!!

In Toronto, Ontario, a homosexual group approaches a printer, a small businessman, with a job to print material blatantly promoted homosexuality. The printer, being a child of Almighty God, refuses.

Offended, the homosexuals have him formally charged and dragged into court. There, the printer receives a fine of $5000 dollars. Large coin for a small businessman. The printer is appealing.

Switch now to Alberta, which is "Canada West". A man, who ministers to troubled teens, including those that have been enticed into the homosexual lifestyle, writes a "Letter to the Editor", expounding on the dangers of this lifestyle, and the teaching of it in public schools!!!

Seeing the damage firsthand, and dealing with it in the Spirit of Grace, he was compelled to trigger the alarm of the damage to the young ones who are exposed and allured to homosexuality.

Well, an indignant group of homosexuals decided that this "unenlightened one" should pay for his "letter to the editor". He is currently being dragged into the Alberta Human Rights court, (http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/sep/05090204.html), where he will likely be fined extravagantly. Of course, he won't pay the fine, which means this important young pastor will end up in jail.

That's really nice Svend! Pastors and preachers are exempt from your little law, eh? Yeah right! Nobody should believe the word of a man caught red-handed stealing a $50,000 dollar piece of jewelry. I firmly believe that the gift of exhortation is severely missing from the body of Christ. And at a time when these gifted folks are sorely needed.

Again, this takes the commitment of an individual to walk the love walk, in the God-kind of love, the agape love.

We need you exhorters. Rise up and lift the spirits of your brothers and sisters, AND one another!!

Wow! Glory to God brother. That is very compelling.

The boy is born. "Shoulda been a girl!", says his momma. Nevertheless, momma loves him. Satan comes in to destroy. The boy needs to feel major pain - something about him. So Satan inflicts the boy with a hernia when he's only 6 months old. Boy needs an operation when operations weren't so perfunctory. Boy survives.

Fast forward...boy is two years and 9 months old. Boy sees Pops getting ready to go to work. Pops is a cop. Pops makes something called tea by heating kettle on stove. Stove creates pretty red glow. Pops goes to work. Boy duplicates what Pops does on stove to make pretty red glow. Boy tries flannel pyjama on pretty red glow. Pyjama erupts in flames. Boy on fire. Pain is excruciating. First cognizant memory boy has of life. Momma puts out flames with blanket. Boy remembers neighbour taking him to hospital. Pain is very bad.
Boy remembers Pops bringing him colouring books on his birthday in hospital. Boy's body is badly scarred. Doctor does skin graft which is successful. Boy survives. Satan is mad cuz there's something about this boy that makes him tremble.

Fast forward..... boy grows up and waxes strong physically. Mom and Pop aren't very spiritual, so boy sees all that material. Boy wants material. Material means happiness. Boy wants Major Mattel...boy gets. Boy wants Rockem Sockem Robots....boy gets. Boy wants new hockey stuff...boy gets.

Fast forward...boy's mother suffers dual brain hemhorrage. Momma survives. Momma gets into Ouija board stuff. Momma gets into palm reading stuff. Momma is always sick and deathly. Boy not notice. Boy into sports too much because boy is natural athlete. Boy is good in all kinds of sports.

Fast forward...boy meets girl - age 10. Boy has fun with girl. Girl likes many of the same things as boy. Girl VERY interested in boy. Boy not know cuz boy too young and immature to realize these things. Girl knows though, and girl reveals to boy her feelings. Boy excited and honoured by girl's feelings.

Next thing boy know girl moving. Girl's Poppa being transferred. Girl melts away and boy's heart is very saddened......

Fast forward.... One day Momma finds this thing about Jesus. Momma starts going to church. Momma tries a couple of different churches until she finds one that is suitable to her beliefs. Momma's health seems to start to improve instantly. Boy does not notice. Boy only notices sports.

Fast forward....boy in high school now. Boy is excellent at football, baseball, hockey, and a couple of other sports. Boy looking for acceptance. Boy finds acceptance with others who smoke dope. So boy smoke dope. Boy likes dope. Boy takes other things other than marijuana. Boy's ambition starts to dwindle. Boy start to gain weight.

Fast forward.... boy completes high school education and eschews college. Boy, now a man, gets job. Man buys first car, a sports car - very fast. Man continues partying ways.

Man, now a big man, does not seem to be able to attract women. Man not happy about this, but continues with partying and surviving. Women seem to like man, but not man's large body. Man very depressed.

Man's best friends become Christians. Man becoming lonely. Man loses job, but enters government program to re-educate. Man completes re-education but still does not get dream job.

Man now lonely and considers himself a failure since dream job escapes him. Man becomes increasingly desparate to land dream job. Man unemployed, no job, no more close friends....

Man remembers that he has 22 calibre rifle stashed behind old console stereo in basement. Man looks for hollow point bullets because they kill with surety. Man finds only solid point. But man also find a track written by Chick Publications. Track graphically shows that death will result in an appointment with a lake that burns with fire for eternity. Man does NOT want this!!!

Track also states that Jesus loves man. That Jesus wants man to be a part of His family. Man is thinking on this family. Man is thinking even more about this LOVE that he presently does not experience. Man puts rifle down.

Man realizes that he must step out in faith to get this Love. Man takes step, and receives Jesus Christ, the Anointed One as his Lord and Saviour.

Man experiences extreme exhiliaration. Impossible to describe the joy as man realizes that ALL the angels of heaven rejoice in the conversion of one sinner.

Man now posts messages on this board. That man is ZakDar, your brother in Christ Jesus. And I PREFER your company to all others in my life, with exception of my own family members.

Ohhhh man!! brother David!!!! You have just learned the life of an intercessor! You see, when you pray about drugs, you are going up against some of the most powerful demons on the planet. The drug section of satan's dominion is a major player in his kingdom.

So when you "interceded" against them, you caught their attention because no doubt you thwarted their plans they had devised. I can just see Michael steppin in and slapping that drug demon around because of your prayers. The spiritual wicked ones in the heavenlies hate being visited by the holy angels of God.

What you need to do is take authority over these slimebags in the name of Jesus, and command them to get out of your life immediately.

I know what I'm talking about here because my mother is an intercessor, called by the Holy Sppirit to do so. And every time she intercedes, she takes authority over the devil, and his entire empire in the name of Jesus. And I'll tell ya, satan runs away from her like a whipped dog with his tail between his legs. He won't go up against her because she knows her God-given rights.
