Thanks Brother Bob - I sincerely appreciate the prayers. So far, it looks like our specific area will be missed again tonight, but we are under a watch. Most of last night's worst activity was considerably North and East of us. The closest was about 30 miles away. I depend on Emergency Weather Radio in Norman, Oklahoma for the best information about threats and warnings. Our own local weatherman said that the threats have diminished here for tonight but could be back near morning and tomorrow.
Brother, all of my family is just fine. I was mainly asking for prayers for those who have been effected. We have family up to 50 miles away, and not one of us even has any damage.

Well looking today, I see that your going to have a fairly nice day. There is only a 20% chance of thunderstorms. Though it looks like tomorrow you have a 60% chance. Brother, when I pray when tornado's are about, I pray for the safety of everyone, that God protects people from the tornado's.
Let's see what your forecast is for tomorrow. Thursday; Mostly cloudy with thunderstorms likely. Cooler. Highs in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Thursday Night; Cloudy with chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 40 percent.
Why your even warmer then I am here. Here is my forecast for today.
Mostly sunny in the morning...partly cloudy with isolated rain showers in the afternoon. Snow level 8000 feet in the afternoon. Highs 53 to 61. Light winds becoming southwest around 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of showers 10 percent. Tonight; Partly cloudy. Isolated rain showers in the evening. Lows around 30. Southwest winds around 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph early in the evening becoming light. Chance of showers 10 percent.
I don't believe how many replies there are to Coffee Time. I started it, cause I was bored one night. Coffee Time has the most views, and replies of any thread on Christians Unite forum. And I now need to get another cup of coffee...........
Well as I have several tabs open, I do have some more reading to do...............
Bob
Judges 19:3
And her husband arose, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him.

Thanks Brother Bob,
As it turns out, we didn't get anything last night - not even rain or wind.
I do have my coffee, and I'm enjoying a variety of excellent Christian materials.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Hello Brothers,
No bad weather here. Just abit cold.
Some of my cousins and my aunt (not mother to said cousins) have been sending Bible verses to help build my spiritual strength. It has been very helpful, especially psalms 88. It matched my feelings perfectly.

Hello Brother David,
I would NOT have sent you Psalms 88 - maybe more like Romans 8. Psalms 88 is the saddest Psalm in the Bible.
You are still in my prayers every day, and we will be spending eternity together.
Love In Christ,
Tom
Romans 8:31-39 KJV What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yes, that is a pretty sad part of King David's life. I don't see how that could be very uplifting?

Psalms 88, to be sent to anyone with disabilities is cruel. In fact to any Christian, Psalms 88 would be cruel. As you know brother David, most of us are disabled. If I was to send you something from Psalms, it would be Psalm 92. All the verses (Psalm 92) are uplifting, and carry meaning to me.
Brother David, you been and are in my prayers, always.
Bob
Psalm 92:13-15
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15
To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
And this came up by chance, here is another one.
Bob
Proverbs 16:32
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

How can it be cruel if it is in the Bible?
This is what I was sent:
Psalm 88 is a psalm of despair. It is written by the “Sons of Korah” and describes the writer’s feeling of frustration and abandonment. In fact, the ONLY positive note is the first line- “LORD, you are the God who saves me. “
I think it may be helpful to realize that there have been other good men who have pleaded with God, and who have felt that their prayers were not being heard or answered. But yet God chose for this psalm to be included in His Book of Life.
So I think that the purpose is to show us that even God’s chosen children have to suffer, and to show that we ARE allowed to pour out our feelings to God and He will not be angry at us for our weakness. Never give up praying, even if you are having a hard time thinking of anything positive to say.
1 LORD, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
2 May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry.
3 I am overwhelmed with troubles
and my life draws near to death.
4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I am like one without strength.
5 I am set apart with the dead,
like the slain who lie in the grave,
whom you remember no more,
who are cut off from your care.
6 You have put me in the lowest pit,
in the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me;
you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.
12 Are your wonders known in the place of darkness,
or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?
13 But I cry to you for help, LORD;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
14 Why, LORD, do you reject me
and hide your face from me?
15 From my youth I have suffered and been close to death;
I have borne your terrors and am in despair.
16 Your wrath has swept over me;
your terrors have destroyed me.
17 All day long they surround me like a flood;
they have completely engulfed me.
18 You have taken from me friend and neighbor—
darkness is my closest friend.

Hello Brother David,
I want to add some information for you to think about. Yes, King David was a sinner - he in fact committed adultery - a death penalty offense at the time. However, at the end of the story - King David was still a man after the Heart of God. The point is that we are all sinners, and not one of us deserves Salvation. We all need to seek forgiveness and place our faith in Jesus Christ - our Lord and Saviour who died for us. Our forgiveness and Salvation is much more assured than it was at the time of King David because King David lived before Jesus Christ went to the cross. You can be assured that King David was forgiven, and King David will be spending Eternity with us in Christ. This is an example of men deserving a death sentence, but Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us. Faith in Jesus Christ sets us free from the curse of sin and death, and there is no condemnation for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. When you're feeling down, the best advice I can give you is to think about God's Promises to us. I'll be sending you some material later today.
Romans 8:1-2 (KJV) 1 [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Hello Brother Tom,
I know you probably feel that psalms 88 had a negative effect on me but it actually had a positive effect. You see, sometimes I feel just like King David, even though we have more assurance for salvation. I just realized, now more than ever, that God is still listening and hasn't given up on me.

Brother David,
I'm happy to hear this. God never gives up on any of us - He is ever faithful - and He always keeps His Promises to us. God did not promise us health and wealth for this short life, but He did promise to work everything out for our good if we love Him. It's hard to imagine God's perspective, but He tries to describe His perspective many places in the Bible. First, this short life would be like the blink of an eye to an Eternal Being like God. We don't understand everything, but we are also Eternal Beings. There won't be anything but joy and happiness for Eternity, and God will leave all of our sorrows, pain, and tears behind.
Here's a beautiful portion of Scripture I'm reading right now:
Isaiah 55:8-13 KJV For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
It's wonderful to think about God's Ways, especially in the context that He is our Heavenly Father. We are His Children waiting to go home to a full inheritance that's beyond our imagination. Just think - we are Children of the King of Kings. I'm also thinking about these portions of Scripture that answer so many hard questions:
2 Corinthians 1:1-11 KJV 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: 2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. 8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: 9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
Romans 8:16-28 KJV The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
2 Corinthians 5:1-21 KJV 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
In the meantime, we should all KEEP LOOKING UP! We are waiting for the Glorious Appearance of Jesus Christ to take us HOME to GLORY.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Hello Everyone,
I'm having a cup of hot, fresh coffee and enjoying a variety of excellent Christian materials.
I've also been reflecting on the condition this world is in and how rapidly it is declining into evil chaos. It's shocking to attempt a comparison between today and 50 years ago. I would have never dreamed that the things of today would happen around the world and in our own country. What's happening in our own country is especially sad. I think there is a logical conclusion that's Biblical: these times are like those of Noah or worse, and evil is ripe for the Judgment of God.
I give thanks for the other side of the coin. As Christians, our God hasn't changed, and He is still with us. God will not forsake us, and He will keep all of His Promises to us. The world may forsake and hate us, but this world is not our HOME. I love to reflect on God's Promises - how beautiful and sure that they are. So, as Christians, we always have many reasons to give thanks and Praise His Holy Name. Edited to add: the Scripture below was the random Scripture that came up in my quote program. How beautiful is that?
Love In Christ,
Tom
Isaiah 11:6-9 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

I wish everyone a HAPPY AND SAFE MEMORIAL DAY!
I try to give thanks every day for the freedoms I enjoy. I don't ever want to take for granted the price that was paid for what we enjoy. As Christians, the daily MEMORIAL must have Jesus Christ at the top of the list. I always think of this portion of Scripture:
John 15:12-13 KJV This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Counting our BLESSINGS is also a good reminder to pray for Christians around the world who live in fear and are persecuted, beaten, imprisoned, and killed for simply being Christians.
Love In Christ,
Tom

Hello Everyone,
I'm having my last cup of coffee for the day and enjoying some outstanding Christian materials before going to bed.
I cooked for my wife tonight, and she survived.
She even said that she like it.
EVERYONE, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
