Welcome to the forum.

I've heard about the gas bubble from a conspiracy theorists that claims to be a scientist advisor. The individual has no training, no degree or anything in science. There is indeed  gas bubbles coming up out of this oil well but it dispelled upward into the atmosphere as it comes out. Gas being lighter than water causes it to come to the surface immediately in small amounts. It cannot stay under water unless it is trapped by some very large solid surface. There is nothing solid enough or large enough to trap a bubble the size this person claims it to be. The danger of this leak is bad but there is no danger from any such gas bubble.

We do know how the earth gets destroyed because scripture gives us the details in Revelations.

Thanks for the info.  She did hear something on a non-Christian talk radio station her dad listens to.  So I had my concerrns about her hearing stories that weren't true.
I know such stories can create fear in children and adults for that matter.   
I'm glad I found this discussion forum.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, a day we celebrate our FREEDOM. As Christians, we celebrate more than one kind of FREEDOM:

1 - We pray to, honor, praise, worship, and give thanks to God for Jesus Christ who FREED us from the curse of sin and death.

2 - We pray for, honor, and give thanks to members of our Armed Services who secured and preserve our FREEDOM.

Do both this 4th of July.

Although this year I do not feel much like celebrating I do agree with those prayers. With all that is going on today we do indeed need to celebrate all that God has given us and will give us in the future. This year it is a much more somber celebration to me.

I think that we also need to pray for God to continue to be with us as we face the coming days as the freedoms of this once great nation are yet again under attack. The freedoms that we have and should hold most dearly that were indeed a gift of the Providence of our God, Jesus Christ. Let us pray that such Providence continues with us.

We need to resolve to continue in the struggle to honor those gifts of God and the brave men and women that sacrificed so much that helped to grant us those freedoms. It should be foremost in our hearts and minds. Let none of us give up in those endeavors.

Hello Pastor Roger,

I understand and agree completely. I'm still somewhat optimistic about what will happen in November. Many things can be stopped and reversed. If not, the alternatives are not very pretty (i.e. charging representatives with high crimes and misdemeanors, seceding from the union, ignoring D.C., and worse if need be). At the very least, we have to clean out the pack of rats if the Union is to survive. One way or another - the rats are going to get and understand the message.
